Congratulations on the purchase of your new device.

In doing so you have chosen a top-quality product.

Please familiarise yourself with the appliance before

preparing it for use and using it for the ﬁrst time. To

do so, please carefully read the following operating

instructions and the important safety information.

Use the product only as described and for the indi-

cated purpose. Keep these instructions in a safe

place. If you pass the product on to anyone else,

please ensure that you also pass on all the docu-

mentation.

Intended use

The glass kettle is only suitable for heating water.

This device is not intended for commercial use in

kitchens for employees, in shops, oﬃces, or other

commercial areas, and is not intended for customers

of hotels, motels and other residences, or bed-and-

breakfast inns, but only for domestic household use.

Any other use or modiﬁcation of the device is con-

sidered improper and is prohibited on principle. We

assume no liability for damages due to improper

use or incorrect operation. Any claims for damages

arising from improper use, improper repairs, tamper-

ing, or the use of spare parts which are not appr

oved,

are excluded. This user bears all risk.

structed in the safe use of the

glass kettle. The device is not

suitable for heating other liquids,

e.g. milk or coﬀee. The material

may be permanently damaged.

The glass kettle features a safety

function which switches it oﬀ au-

tomatically if accidentally oper-

ated empty. In this case allow

the glass kettle to cool down

before reusing.

Only heat the water in the de-

vice once! Empty all water from

the device after boiling. Do not

allow water to sit in the device to

prevent stagna

nt water, calcium

deposits, and algae formation.

The device is not intended for

use with an external time switch

or a separate telecontrol system.

FOOD SAFE! This pro-

duct has no adverse

eﬀect on taste or smell.

Before use

To prevent hazards, verify the device,

the mains plug and the mains cable are

complete and in good condition after

unpacking to eliminate any damage.

Your glass kettle is packaged to protect it from trans-

port damage.

Carefully remove the device from the retail pack.

Remove all packaging.

Completely unwrap the mains cable

Remove any residual packaging dust from the

device and all accessories as speciﬁed in chap-

ter “Cleaning and Care“.

Set up the glass kettle near a protective ground

socket, ensuring it is freely accessible.

Start-up / Cleaning and Care

Furniture is now coated with a variety of paints and

plastics, and is treated with the most diverse of clean-

ers. It is therefore impossible to preclude some of

these substances may contain components which

would aﬀect and soften the rubber feet of the housing

If necessary, place a non-slip, heat resistant pad

under the glass kettle.

Please the base station

on a suitable surface.

Connect the device to the protective ground

socket.

Please boil water 2–3 times prior to ﬁrst use.

To do so, ﬁll the water reservoir to the MAX mark.

Pour out the water after each use and rinse the

water reservoir with clean water.

Always allow the water reservoir to cool to room

temperature between cycles.

water. There otherwise is a risk of damage to

the health!

risk of boiling over. This can result in

burns!

Note: The automatic shut-oﬀ will not work if the

safety lid

is not closed correctly.

Placing the glass kettle on

the centre contact station

Your glass kettle features a practical centre contact

station. This means you may align the water reser-

voir

in any direction without observing the accu-

racy of ﬁt.

Place the water reservoir

on the base

station

Now connect the base station

to the mains.

Boiling water

Note: The ON / OFF switch

can only be used

if the device is on the base station.

Press the ON / OFF switch

down in the po-

sition “|“. The device is switched on. It will now

start heating. Once the water is boiling the auto

shut-oﬀ will switch the device oﬀ. The shut-oﬀ

time depends on the amount of water added.

Note: Based on the function of the device, a

few drops of condensation may escape from

the discharge openings at the bottom of the de-

vice at the end of the boiling cycle. This is not a

sign the device is leaking but is due to the auto

shut-oﬀ and does not aﬀect safety.

Note: Your device features a special safety ON /

OFF switch

(“lift-oﬀ switch-oﬀ”). Removing the

water reservoir

from the base station

Overheating protection

Your glass kettle features an overheating protection

which will automatically switch the device oﬀ when

automatically used empty or with an insuﬃcient

amount of water.

If the overheat protection is triggered, proceed as

follows:

Unplug from the protective ground socket and

allow the device to cool to room temperature.

Once cooled, it can be used again.

Pour the hot water through the pouring spout

into the designated vessel. Before boiling again,

allow the device to ﬁrst cool to room temperature.

Cleaning and Care

Always unplug from the mains before

cleaning and allow the device to cool

completely before cleaning and storing!

Never immerse the base station and

water reservoir in water. This poses a

risk of burns or electric shock!

Do not use caustic cleaners and abra-

sives or scouring pads, as this may cause

damage the device beyond repair.

Cleaning the water kettle

Clean all exterior surfaces and the mains cable

with a slightly dampened dishcloth. Always dry

the device well before using it again. For stub-

born soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth.

Ensure there is no washing-up liquid residue on

and inside the device before using it again.

Rinse the inside of the water reservoir

with

clean water.

Remove deposits inside the water reservoir

by wiping the inside surface with a damp cloth,

or use a washing-up or bottle brush. Then rinse

the water reservoir

with clean water again.

Cleaning the ﬁlter cartridge

The ﬁlter cartridge is removable for enhanced

cleaning.

Remove the ﬁlter cartridge upward at the re-

lease tab.

Clean the ﬁlter cartridge with some citric acid or

lime dissolver suitable for food containers from

a homeware shop (e.g. coﬀee maker cleaner).

Rinse the ﬁlter cartridge well with water.

Please carefully slide the ﬁlter cartridge down-

ward along the designated guide groove.

Descaling the glass kettle

Note: Severely scaled devices can result in the de-

vice automatically switching oﬀ early and energy loss.

Therefore regularly descale the glass kettle (varies

by lime content in the water and frequency of use).

Only use citric acid or lime dissolver suitable for food

containers from a houseware shop (e.g. coﬀee maker

cleaner), do not use acetic acid or other acids.

Fill the water reservoir

with water and heat

to a simmer.

Add some citric acid or lime dissolver suitable

for food containers from a housewares shop

(e.g. coﬀee maker cleaner).

Unplug from the protective ground socket. Lime-

scale will dissolve as the water cools.

Occasionally swivel the water reservoir

Repeat the process for thick layers of limescale.

Note: Descaling may be interrupted, even if

some limescale remains. Descaling down to the

bare metal surface is not required.

After descaling, simmer 2–3 ﬁllings of fresh water

and discard the water.

Once the glass kettle has cooled down and is

cleaned, proceed as follows:

If necessary, unplug the mains plug from the

protective ground socket.

Wrap the mains cable on the cable wrap of

the base station

Now store the glass kettle in a dry location.

Recyclables in the waste electrical device will be

reused, protecting the environment. For more infor-

σκευής. Επιλέξατε ένα προϊόν υψηλής ποιότητας.

Πριν από τη θέση σε λειτουργία και την πρώτη

χρήση εξοικειωθείτε με τη συσκευή. Για τον σκοπό

αυτό διαβάστε προσεκτικά τις παρακάτω οδηγίες

χρήσης και τις σημαντικές υποδείξεις ασφαλείας.

Χρησιμοποιήστε τη συσκευή μόνο με τον τρόπο

που περιγράφεται εδώ και για τον τομέα εφαρμογής

ρικές περιοχές και για πελάτες σε ξενοδοχεία, μο-

τέλ και άλλες εγκαταστάσεις κατοικίας καθώς και

πανσιόν ημιδιατροφής, αλλά αποκλειστικά για

χρήση σε ιδιωτικά νοικοκυριά. Κάθε άλλη χρήση ή

αλλαγή της συσκευής είναι μη-σύμφωνη με τις προ-

Αυτή η συσκευή μπορεί να χρη-

σιμοποιηθεί από παιδιά άνω των

8 ετών όταν επιβλέπονται ή

έχουν ενημερωθεί σχετικά με την

ασφαλή χρήση της συσκευής

και έχουν καταλάβει τους

Καθαρισμός και συντήρηση

απαγορεύεται να εκτελούνται

πτη, όταν η συσκευή δεν είναι σε

πέσει στο νερό έστω μια φορά,

βγάλτε πρώτα το ρευματολήπτη

και ύστερα απομακρύνετε τη συ-

σκευή από το νερό! Μην θέτετε

κατόπιν την συσκευή σε λειτουρ-

γία, αλλά αφήστε την πρώτα να

ελεγχθεί από ένα εξουσιοδοτη-

μένο σημείο σέρβις. Αυτό ισχύει

επίσης, αν ένα καλώδιο δικτύου

ή η συσκευή είναι φθαρμένη ή η

συσκευή έχει πέσει κάτω!

βραστήρα νερού μόνο

στην λαβή. Κατά την

λειτουργία ηλεκτρικών

θερμικών συσκευών

παράγονται υψηλές

θερμοκρασίες, οι οποίες

μπορούν να οδηγήσουν

σε τραυματισμούς, π.χ.

βραστό νερό, ζεστός ατμός

καθώς και θερμό περί-

βλημα! Ενημερώστε επίσης

άλλους χρήστες σχετικά με

τους κινδύνους!

ΚΊΝΔΥΝΟΣ ΕΓΚΑΥΜΑ-

ΤΟΣ! Ο βραστήρας νερού επι-

τρέπεται να λειτουργείται μόνο

αν το φίλτρο νερού είναι εφαρ-

μοσμένο. Με αυτό αποτρέπεται

η έξοδος ψεκασμών νερού στην

διαδικασία βρασμού.

βράζει το νερό.

Μην

λειτουργείτε την συσκευή

φεύγον ατμός μπορεί να

κάνει ζημιά στα έπιπλα σας.

Προς αποφυγή κινδύνων, γεμί-

ζετε νερό μόνο όταν η συσκευή

δεν στέκεται στον σταθμό βάσης!

Προς αποφυγή κινδύνων σε κα-

μία περίπτωση μην θέτετε την συ-

σκευή σε λειτουργία χωρίς νερό

και ποτέ με ανοιχτό

καπάκι

ασφάλειας.

Προσέχετε ώστε να μην θέτετε σε

λειτουργία τον γύαλινο βρα-

στήρα νερού με πάρα πολύ ή

πολύ λίγο νερό. Η συμπληρω-

μένη ποσότητα νερού δεν επιτρέ-

πεται σε καμία περίπτωση να

υπολείπεται της σήμανσης MIN

στην ένδειξη στάθμης πλήρω-

σης

και να υπερβαίνει την

σήμανση MAX. Σε υπερπλή-

ρωση μπορεί να πιτσιλίσει έξω

βραστό νερό.

Γεμίζετε τον γυάλινο βραστήρα

νερού μόνο με καθαρό νερό. Η

συσκευή δεν είναι κατάλληλη για

θέρμανση άλλων υγρών όπως

π.χ. γάλα ή καφέ. Το υλικό

μπορεί να πάθει ανεπανόρθωτη

ζημιά.

Ο γυάλινος βραστήρας νερού

είναι εξοπλισμένος με μια λει-

τουργία ασφάλειας, η οποία

ενεργοποιείται αυτόματα, αν το

θέσετε ακούσια σε λειτουργία

χωρίς νερό. Αφήστε σε αυτή την

περίπτωση τον γυάλινο βραστήρα

νερού να κρυώσει, προτού τον

θέσετε εκ νέου σε λειτουργία.

Ζεσταίνετε το νερό στην συσκευή

πάντα μόνο μια φορά! Απομα-

κρύνετε μετά το βράσιμο το νερό

εντελώς από την συσκευή. Μην

αφήνετε το νερό να μένει στη συ-

σκευή, προς αποφυγή στάσιμο

νερού, συγκεντρώσεων αλάτων

καθώς και δημιουργία άλγης.

Η συσκευή δεν είναι σχεδια-

σμένη για να λειτουργείται με

έναν εξωτερικό χρονοδιακόπτη

ή ένα ξεχωριστό σύστημα τηλε-

χειρισμού.

ΤΡΟΦΊΜΑ! Η γεύση

και η μυρωδιά δεν επηρεάζονται

από το παρόν προϊόν.

λειτουργία

Προς αποφυγή κινδύνων, ελέγξτε την

συσκευή μετά την αποσυσκευασία για

πληρότητα και την άθικτη κατάσταση

της συσκευής, του ρευματολήπτη και

του καλωδίου δικτύου, για να μπορέ-

σετε να αποκλείσετε πιθανές ζημιές.

Ο γυάλινος βραστήρας σας νερού βρίσκεται για

προστασία από ζημιές μεταφοράς σε μια

συσκευασία.

Αφαιρέστε την συσκευή προσεκτικά από την

συσκευασία της αγοράς.

Απομακρύνετε όλα τα μέρη συσκευασίας.
