Egg Boiler

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should

always be followed, including the following;

• This appliance is intended for indoor, household use. Unintended

use or operaon may result in personal injury, damage to property

or damage to the appliance that will void the warranty.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilies or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been

given supervision and/or instrucon concerning safe use of the

appliance and the understanding of hazards. Children shall not play

with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be

made by children unless they are older than 8 years old and

supervised.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8

years old.

• Never handle or operate any appliance with wet or moist hands.

• Do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids.

Take care whilst cleaning.

• If the appliance has fallen in water do not reach for it, immediately

switch the appliance o at the mains and unplug it.

• Ensure that the cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or

tripped over accidentally. Never use the cord to carry or pull the

appliance. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or

counter.

• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

examinaon and/or repair by an authorised service agent.

appliance, use the appliance for unintended applicaons or use

accessory aachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

Appliance Specific Safety Instructions

• This appliance is intended for boiling or poaching eggs and

steaming vegetables. Failure to follow the instructions provided for

the use of the appliance may result in damage to the appliance,

damage to property or injury to the operator or a third party.

• Caution: The outer surfaces of the appliance become hot during

use and remain hot for a period of time after use.

• Warning: Hot water and steam are produced during operation. Do

not place your fingers over the air hole in the lid when the

appliance is in operation.

• Take reasonable caution when removing the cover. Always use the

handles provided and wear heat resistant gloves.

• Warning: Do not use the appliance without the Lid (5) and egg tray

(2) in place. Do not place the poached egg tray (4A) or steamer tray

(4B) or food directly onto the heating plate.

• Please note: During first use the appliance may produce an odour

or fumes as the components and cooking surface are heated. This is

normal and does not indicate a fault.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.

• Always use the measuring cup to fill the heating plate. Do not

overfill.

• Switch off and unplug the appliance and allow it to fully cool before

moving, changing accessories or cleaning the appliance.

• Immediately after use allow the appliance to cool in a safe place

out of the reach of children.

• Ensure the appliance is placed on a level, heat resistant surface.

Allow adequate air space below, above and on all sides of the

appliance for ventilation,

• Do not operate the appliance by means of an external timer or

separate remote-control system.

Class I Electrical Safety

Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the supply voltage.

WARNING! This appliance must be connected to an earthed electrical power

supply. The green/yellow conductor in the supply cord must be connected to the

Earth terminal in the plug. The power supply must have an Earth connecon.

Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is

damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service repair centre to

avoid a hazard.

Precauons should be followed for safe cable management and connecon to the

power supply

If a new mains plug needs to be ed follow the ng instrucons supplied with

good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualied electrician or appliance

repair agent.

Using the Egg Boiler

Using the measuring cup

Before starng the appliance please ll the egg boiler with water using the

measuring cup to the required level indicated by the table below. The measuring

cup gives an indicaon of the water level need to cook so, medium or hard eggs.

The amount of water required will depend on the amount of eggs you want to cook.

Please note: When making hard boiled eggs, the water may evaporate from the

appliance. This will be signalled by the machine.

The amount of me and water required will dier according to the amount of eggs

you wish to cook. Please use the guide on the side of the measuring cup.

Preparing the eggs

• Use the pin that is located on the boom of the measuring cup (11) to prick a

small hole into the larger end of the egg. This will prevent the egg shells from

bursng during boiling.

• Place the eggs into the egg tray and then place the tray into the boiling plate. At

this point the lid should be closed.

Boiling the eggs

• Plug the egg boiler into the power supply and switch it on. The egg boiler will

now be in operaon.

• When all the water has evaporated the built-in thermostat will switch o the

boiler and a buzzer will sound. The eggs will now be cooked to your preference.

• Switch the egg boiler o and unplug it from the power supply, remove the lid

carefully as it will be hot and steam may be released. Take out the steam tray

and cool the eggs.

Poaching the eggs

• To ensure the eggs do not sck, wipe a small amount of oil around the poaching

compartments.

• Fill the egg boiler with a full measuring cup of water and crack the eggs into the

secons of the poacher tray.

• Place the poacher tray onto the egg tray, close the lid and switch on the egg

boiler. The egg boiler will now begin to poach your eggs.

• Switch o the egg boiler and remove the eggs once they have been cooked to

your liking. If the buzzer sounds before the eggs are fully cooked top up the

water and switch the egg boiler on again.

• Remove the lid carefully as it will be hot and steam may be released.

Steaming Funcon

• To steam food, ll the egg boiler with water and place the food to be steamed on

the steamer tray, then place the steamer tray onto the egg tray.

• Close the lid and switch the egg boiler on. The egg boiler will now begin to steam

your food. Switch o the egg boiler and remove the food once it is cooked to

your liking.

• If the buzzer sounds before the food is fully cooked top up with water and switch

the egg boiler on again. Remove the lid carefully as it will be hot and steam may

be released.

Cleaning instrucons

• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning. The egg tray,

steamer tray, poaching tray and cover can be washed as normal. The cooking

plate which is xed to the boom of the appliance can only be cleaned with a

moistened towel or cloth.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water or liquid for any other reason.

• The egg boiler and accessories are not dishwasher safe.

• When excessive limescales are deposited in the appliance, white vinegar can be

used to remove it. Dilute the vinegar with water (add 1 part vinegar to ten parts

water). Pour the soluon into the relevant parts and allow it to soak. Pour the

liquid away, rinse and dry it with a towel.

Your new Andrew James product comes with a 24 month guarantee and a 2 year

xed warranty, eecve from receipt conrmaon. Your receipt or order number is

required as proof of purchase date so it is imperave that you keep it safe. This

guarantee only applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and all

instrucons have been followed accordingly. Please note this product is only for

domesc not commercial use.

Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be

accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and

presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not aect your

statutory rights. Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close

to delivery condion as possible.

If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed warranty,

we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months the

customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then pay

to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are

shipped outside of the EU. All of our prices are inclusive of VAT.

Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within 30

days of receipt.

The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage, build-

up of lime scale or repair aempts made by third-pares. Also, the guarantee does

not cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.

Mise en Service

La tasse à mesurer

Avant d’allumer l’appareil, veuillez remplir le cuiseur d’œufs de l’eau à l’aide de la

tasse à mesurer. La tasse à mesurer indique les quantés nécessaires pour cuire les

œufs à la coque, moyens ou durs. La quanté d’eau dépend aussi de la quanté

d’œufs.

Note: Pendant la cuisson des œufs durs, l’eau pourrait s’évaporer complètement,

ce qui va être signalé par une alarme. Veuillez remplir l’eau et connuer à cuire

pendant la durée recommandée.

Préparaon d’œufs

Uliser l'épingle qui est situé sur le fond de la tasse à mesurer pour faire un pet

trou dans l’extrémité plus grande de l'œuf, cela empêche la coquille de l'œuf de

rupture en cours de cuisson. Placer les œufs dans la casserole bouillante.

Maintenant fermer le couvercle.

Cuisson des œufs

Brancher le cuiseur d'œufs et allumer. La cuisson va maintenant commencer.

Quand l'eau s’évapore le thermostat intégré éteindra l'appareil et un signal sonore

retent. Maintenant les œufs seront cuits à ta préférence. Éteindre le cuiseur

d'œufs et le débrancher. Enlever le couvercle. Veuillez faire aenon parce qu’il

sera très chaud et le vapeur brûlante peut en sorr. Enlever le récipient de vapeur

et laisser les œufs refroidir.

Pocheuse pour œufs

Pour pocher les œufs, remplir l’appareil d’une tasse à mesurer pleine d’eau. Au lieu

de placer les œufs dans le récipient d'œufs, casser les œufs dans le récipient de

poche. Placer le récipient de poche sur le récipient d'œufs, fermer le couvercle et

allumer le cuiseur d'œufs. Maintenant l'appareil commencera à pocher vos œufs.

peut être lavé comme d'habitude. La plaque de cuisson qui est xée en bas de

cet appareil doit être lavé avec une ssue mouille.

• Ne jamais immerger l'appareil dans l'eau.

• S'il y a trop de dépôts dans la plaque de cuisson, uliser le vinaigre pour

domesque pour enlever tous les dépôts, dilué avec de l'eau (mélanger une

pare du vinaigre à 10 fois de l'eau). Verser la soluon sur la plaque de cuisson et

la laisser tremper pendant 30 minutes. Verser la soluon et l'essuyer avec un

chion ou une serviee humide.

Cet appareil est couvert par une garantie de 24 mois à compter de la date d’achat.

Le reçu ou le numéro de commande est nécessaire comme preuve de paiement

donc il est essentiel de les garder en lieu sûr. La garantie ne s’applique que si

l’appareil est utilisé pour les fins prévue et si toutes les instructions ont été

respectées. Cet appareil n’est pas conçu pour une utilisation commerciale.

Une utilisation abusive va invalider la garantie. On ne peut accepter les

marchandises retournées que s’ils ont été emballés correctement dans l’emballage

d’origine avec le reçu/numéro de commande. Ceci n’affecte pas vos droits

Les marchandises retournées devraient être nettoyées et retournées dans un état

Gebrauchs heiß und bleiben nach Gebrauch längere Zeit heiß.

Dampf. Legen Sie Ihre Finger nicht über das Luloch im Deckel,

wenn das Gerät in Betrieb ist.

• Seien Sie vorsichg beim Enernen der Abdeckung. Verwenden Sie

immer die mitgelieferten Grie und tragen Sie hitzebeständige

Handschuhe.

• Warnung: Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht ohne den Deckel (5) und

die Eierablage (2). Stellen Sie die pochierte Eierschale (4A) oder den

Dampfgarbehälter (4B) oder das Gargut nicht direkt auf die

Heizplae.

• Bie beachten Sie: Beim ersten Gebrauch kann das Gerät einen

Geruch oder Rauch entwickeln, wenn die Komponenten und die

Kochäche erhitzt werden. Dies ist normal und zeigt keinen Fehler

an.

• Lassen Sie das Gerät während des Gebrauchs nicht unbeaufsichgt.

• Verwenden Sie immer den Messbecher, um die Heizplae zu füllen.

• Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker und

lassen Sie es vollständig abkühlen, bevor Sie es bewegen, Zubehör

wechseln oder das Gerät reinigen.

• Lassen Sie das Gerät unmielbar nach Gebrauch an einem sicheren

Ort außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern abkühlen

Anwendung

Wasser abmessen

Bevor Sie das Gerät einschalten, geben Sie bie mithilfe des Messbechers die

benögte Menge Wasser in den Eierkocher. Die Menge an benögtem Wasser

hängt ab von der Anzahl der Eier und dem gewünschten Härtegrad. Der

Messbecher hat 3 Markierungen: für Weich, Medium und für Hart. Jede Markierung

ist mit einer Zahl versehen, die für die Anzahl an Eiern steht. Füllen Sie Wasser bis

zur gewünschten Markierung in den Messbecher. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der

Eierkocher auf einer ebenen Fläche steht und gießen Sie das Wasser auf die

Heizplae.

Eier vorbereiten

Nutzen Sie den Eierstecher, der sich am Boden des Messbechers bendet, um die

Schale am breiteren Ende des Eis zu punkeren. Das Bersten der Eierschale

während des Kochens wird dadurch verhindert. Geben Sie die Eier in den

Eieraufsatz und setzten Sie diesen auf die Heizplae. Setzen Sie jetzt den Deckel auf

das Gerät.

Eier kochen

Verbinden Sie den Eierkocher mit einer Steckdose und schalten Sie ihn ein. Ist das

Wasser im Gerät verdamp, schaltet sich das eingebaute Thermostat ab und ein

Signal ertönt. Die Eier wurden nun wie gewünscht gekocht. Schalten Sie das Gerät

aus und trennen Sie es von der Stromversorgung. Enernen Sie den Deckel

vorsichg. Bie beachten Sie, dass der Deckel heiß sein und Dampf austreten wird.

Entnehmen Sie den Eieraufsatz und schrecken Sie die Eier unter laufendem Wasser

kurz ab.

Hinweis: Falls das Wasser bei der Zubereitung von hartgekochten Eiern vor der

angegebenen Kochzeit verdampfen sollte, so füllen Sie bei Ertönen des Signaltons

neues Wasser nach, so dass die Kochzeit verlängert wird.
