personnel should adopt a
comfortable posture, stand on
a stable surface, and avoid
postures making it difficult to
maintain balance. The operat-
ing personnel should change
their posture during long work
periods, thereby helping to
minimise unpleasant sensations
and fatigue.
If the operating personnel
should feel symptoms like e.g.
constant or recurrent nausea,
complaints, throbbing, pain,
tingling, numbness, burning,
or stiffness, these should not
be ignored. The operating
personnel should report this
to the employer and consult a
qualified medical expert.
HAZARDS FROM
ACCESSORIES
Disconnect the pneumatic
angle grinder from the power
source before fitting or replac-
ing the machine tool or acces-
sory.
Use exclusively those accesso-
ries and consumables of the
sizes and types recommended
by the manufacturer of the
pneumatic angle grinder. Do
not use any other size or type
of accessories and consuma-
bles.
Make sure that the parting disc
size is compatible with that of
the pneumatic angle grinder
and that the parting disc fits
on the spindle.
Make sure that the parting
disc’s thread type and size cor-
respond exactly to the spindle
thread’s type and size.
Before use, first inspect the
abrasive. Do not use part-
ing discs that may have
been dropped or that exhibit
spalling, cracks, or other de-
fects.
Make sure that before use the
parting disc has been secured
properly and tightened ade-
quately. The pneumatic angle
grinder must be operated for
at least one minute at idle
speed in a safe position. The
machine must be switched
OFF immediately there is
considerable vibrations or
other damage, and their cause
identified.
The spindle’s measurements
and other key data must be
examined if there is to be no
contact between the end of the
spindle and the base of open-
ings for straight and flaring
cup wheels or threaded grind-
ing rods designed for mount-
ing on machine spindles.
