Intended use

This device is intended exclusively for the non-commercial reception of UHF/

VHF and DVB-T TV channels and VHF radio reception in indoor rooms. The

device is not suitable for operation with a SAT receiver. Any use other than as

described here is not permitted and could lead to damage and injuries. No

liability will be assumed for damage caused by misuse or improper handling,

the use of force or unauthorised modiﬁ cation.

Safety

This section provides you with important safety information regarding handling

of the device. The device complies with the statutory safety regulations.

Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.

Basic safety instructions

For safe handling of the device, follow the safety information below:

■ Before use, check the device for externally visible damage. Do not use

a device that has been damaged or dropped.

■ Do not perform any modiﬁ cations or changes to the device yourself.

■ Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only be carried

out by a customer service department authorised by the manufacturer.

Otherwise no additional warranty claims can be considered for subse-

quent damage.

■ This device may be used by children aged 8 over and by persons with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience

and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been

told how to use the device safely and are aware of the potential risks.

Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance

tasks must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

■ The device may only be operated using the supplied mains adapter.

■ To avoid risks, arrange for defective cables to be replaced at once by

qualiﬁ ed technicians or our Customer Service Department.

■ Plug the mains adapter into a properly installed power socket.

■ The power socket must be easily accessible so that the mains adapter

can be easily disconnected in an emergency.

■ Ensure that the cables do not present a trip hazard.

■ The mains adapter consumes power when it is connected to a mains socket.

It is therefore a good idea to disconnect the mains adapter when the

device is not in use.

■ This device should not be exposed to rain. Protect the device from moisture,

spray and dripping water and the penetration of liquids. Never submerge

the device in water and do not place objects ﬁ lled with liquids (such as

vases) on the device. The device could be irreparably damaged!

■ Before cleaning, or if there is an operational fault, disconnect the mains

adapter from the power socket.

■ NEVER open the device housing, it contains no user-serviceable parts!

If the housing is opened, there is a risk of receiving a potentially fatal

electric shock.

■ Do not operate the device close to naked ﬂ ames (e.g. candles).

■ Avoid direct sunlight. The device could be irreparably damaged!

Check the delivery for completeness and for signs of visible damage.

► If the delivery is incomplete, or is damaged due to defective packaging

or through transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see chapter

Service).

♦ Remove the device and the operating instructions from the carton.

♦ Remove all packing material.

Disposal of packaging

The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging

materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and

disposal attributes, and are therefore recyclable.

Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw

materials and reduces the amount of waste that is generated.

Dispose of packaging material which is no longer needed in

accordance with applicable local regulations.

NOTE

►

If possible, keep the device’s original packaging during the warranty

period so that the device can be packed properly for returning in the

event of a warranty claim.

Handling and use

In this chapter you will receive important information on the handling and

operation of the device.

Selection of set-up location

The indoor aerial can be set up in two positions (horizontally or vertically)

(see Fig. A + B).

♦ Attach the stand

to the corresponding recess on the rear of the device.

♦ Place the device on a smooth, level and slip-resistant surface.

♦ To ensure good reception, select a set-up location as near as possible to

the window. Do not place the device on the ﬂ oor, but rather on a raised

surface.

♦ Do not place the device in the vicinity of high-frequency devices such

as microwaves. If they are operated simultaneously, this can lead to

interference.

Wall mounting

The supplied wall mount

can be used for mounting the indoor aerial

in a horizontal/vertical position on a wall.

Required tools

To mount the aerial you will need a drill with a 6 mm masonry bit, a Philips

screwdriver, a spirit level, a folding ruler and a pencil. The supplied wall

plugs are only suitable for a mounting on concrete or stone. Check the suit-

ability of your wall before mounting. If in doubt, consult a professional.

When drilling the holes ensure that any electric cables or other installa-

tions in the wall, such as water pipes, are not damaged.

NOTE

►

When mounting on a wall, the reception quality should be tested

beforehand as the indoor aerial can no longer be re-aligned to

improve reception once it has been mounted.

♦ Use a pencil and spirit level to make a vertical or horizontal line on the

wall.

♦ Mark the position for the two necessary drill holes (8 cm apart) on the

line with the help of the wall mount

and drill two holes for the supplied

wall plugs (6 mm).

♦ Place the wall plugs in the drillholes and screw in the screws until they

project about 5 mm out of the wall.

♦ Place the wall mount

in the holes designed for this purpose on the rear

of the device (see Fig. C) and click it into place.

♦ Hang the indoor aerial on the screw heads and check that it sits ﬁ rmly.

Electrical connection

The power for the indoor aerial can be delivered via supplied the mains

adapter

or via a receiver with a 5 V remote power supply.

CAUTION

►

Before connecting the device, compare the speciﬁ cations for the required

input voltage on the rating plate with the intended voltage source for

operation. This data must agree in order to avoid damaging the product.

► The power socket must be easily accessible so that the mains adapter

can be easily disconnected in an emergency.

► Check to ensure that the mains adapter cable

is not damaged and

that it is not routed over hot surfaces and or sharp edges, otherwise it

could be damaged.

► Ensure that the mains adapter cable

is not stretched tight or kinked.

Power adapter

♦ Connect the low voltage plug of the mains adapter

to the power socket

on the rear of the device.

♦ Plug the mains adapter

into a properly installed power socket.

Receiver with 5 V remote power supply

♦ Ensure that your receiver has a 5 V remote power supply via the aerial

output and that this is switched on. Consult the operating manual of your

receiver for further information.

♦ Connect the aerial cable

from the indoor aerial to the aerial con-

nection on your receiver. The indoor aerial will now receive its power

via the aerial output of the receiver.

Connecting the indoor aerial

Connecting to a TV

♦ Connect the aerial cable

from the indoor aerial to the aerial con-

nection on your television. The aerial cable

from the indoor aerial

cable can only be connected directly to the television if the television

has an integrated DVB-T tuner.

Connection as a radio aerial

♦ If you use the indoor aerial for radio reception, please use the coaxial

socket/coaxial socket adapter

♦ Connect the coaxial socket/coaxial socket adapter

to the indoor

aerial

♦ Connect the aerial cable

with the coaxial socket/coaxial socket

adapter

to the 75 ohm connection on your hiﬁ system.

Connecting to a DVB-T receiver

♦ Connect the aerial cable

from the indoor aerial to the aerial con-

nection on your DVB-T receiver.

♦ To connect the indoor aerial to a DVB-T receiver with an F connector,

you will need to use the F connector/coaxial socket adapter

♦ Connect the F connector/coaxial socket adapter

to the indoor aerial

♦ Screw the aerial cable

with the F connector/coaxial socket adapter

to the F connector on the DVB-T receiver.

NOTE

► After the device has been connected, you can control the signal strength

and quality via the DVB-T receiver. If you still do not have a suﬃ cient

picture quality, reposition your device at a better location.

Switching the device on/oﬀ

♦ To switch the indoor aerial on, move the On/Oﬀ switch

to the

"ON" position.

♦ To switch the indoor aerial oﬀ , move the On/Oﬀ switch

to the

"OFF" position.

Troubleshooting

This section contains important information on fault localisation and rectiﬁ cation.

Fault causes and rectiﬁ cation

The following table will help with localising and remedying minor malfunctions:

The reception characteristics of the indoor aerial are only good if you

are close enough to the broadcasting station.

Cleaning

DANGER

►

Pull the mains adapter

from the mains power socket every time

before cleaning. There is a risk of electric shock!

► To avoid irreparable damage, ensure that no moisture penetrates into

the device during cleaning.

► Never immerse the device in water or any other ﬂ uid when cleaning.

CAUTION

►

Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can

damage the upper surfaces.

♦ Clean the surfaces of the device with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn soiling

use a lightly moistened cloth.

Storage

♦ Should you decide not use the device for an extended period, disconnect

it from the power supply and store it in a clean and dry location away

from direct sunlight.

Disposal

Disposal of the device

Under no circumstances should you dispose of the

device in the normal domestic waste. This product is

subject to the provisions of European Directive

2012/19/EU-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic

Equipment).

Dispose of the device via an approved disposal company or your municipal

waste facility. Please observe the currently applicable regulations. Please

contact your waste disposal centre if you are in any doubt.

The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined

before delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty

claim, please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service Depart-

ment. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.

The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing

defects, but not for transport damage, wearing parts or for damage

to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries.

Ez a készülék kizárólag nem kereskedelmi használatra, UHF/VHF és DVB-T

TV adók, valamint URH rádióadók beltéri vételére való. A készülék nem

alkalmas műholdvevőn való üzemeltetéshez. Az itt leírtaktól eltérő használat

nincsen engedélyezve és kárt, valamint sérülést okozhat. A visszaélésszerű

vagy szakszerűtlen kezelésből, erőszak alkalmazásából vagy nem engedé-

lyezett átszerelésből eredő károkért nem vállalunk felelősséget.

Ebben a használati útmutatóban a következő ﬁ gyelmeztető jelzéseket

használjuk:

Ennek a veszélyességi fokozatnak a ﬁ gyelmeztető jele

fenyegető veszélyes helyzetet jelöl.

Halált vagy súlyos sérülést okozhat, ha nem tudja elkerülni ezeket a veszé-

lyes helyzeteket.

► A halálos vagy súlyos személyi sérülések elkerülése érdekében kövesse

a ﬁ gyelmeztető jelzések szerinti utasításokat.

FIGYELMEZTETÉS

Ennek a veszélyességi fokozatnak a ﬁ gyelmeztető jelzése

lehetséges veszélyhelyzetet jelöl.

Sérülést okozhat, ha nem tudja elkerülni ezeket a veszélyes helyzeteket.

► A személyi sérülések elkerülése érdekében kövesse a ﬁ gyelmeztető

jelzések szerinti utasításokat.

FIGYELEM

Ennek a veszélyességi fokozatnak a ﬁ gyelmeztető jelzése

lehetséges anyagi kárt jelöl.

Anyagi kárt okozhat, ha nem tudja elkerülni ezeket a helyzeteket.

► Az anyagi kár elkerülése érdekében kövesse a ﬁ gyelmeztető jelzések
