Inserting batteries
By inserting 2 x 1.5V batteries (type AAA/Micro/LR03), you prevent
the set time, alarm times and stored radio stations from being deleted
in the event of a power failure. The batteries make sure that the internal
clock continues to run even during a power outage. The display 1
will go out, however. When power is restored, the correct time auto-
matically appears on the display 1.
NOTE
The device can also be operated using the mains power connec-
tion only without batteries. Operation using the batteries only is
not possible.
In the event of a power failure, all settings (such as time, alarm
times and stored radio stations) will be reset if there are no
charged batteries in the battery compartment
9.
Open the battery compartment cover 9 on the back of the
device.
Insert 2 x 1.5 V AAA/Micro/LR03 batteries (not supplied) into
the battery compartment
9. Place the batteries into the battery
compartment 9 as indicated on the polarity diagram.
Close the battery compartment 9 by placing the cover on it and
snapping it into place.
