During production, this equipment has

been checked for quality and subjected to

a nal inspection. The functionality of your

equipment is therefore guaranteed.

The operating instructions constitute

part of this product. They contain im-

portant information on safety, use and dis-

posal. Before using the product, familiarise

yourself with all of the operating and safety

instructions. Use the product only as de-

scribed and for the applications specied.

Keep this manual safely and in the event that

the product is passed on, hand over all

documents to the third party.

Intended purpose

The device is intended for dry sanding of

wood, metal or paint.

Any other use that is not explicitly ap-

proved in these instructions may result in

damage to the equipment and represent a

serious danger to the user.

The user or operator is responsible for ac-

cidents causing injury to other people or

damage to property.

This equipment is not suitable for commer-

cial use. Commercial use will invalidate the

guarantee.

WARNING! Read all safety

directions, instructions, illus-

trations and technical data

provided with this power

tool. Omissions in the compliance

with safety directions and instruc-

tions can cause electrical shock,  re

and/or severe injuries.

Retain all safety directions and in-

structions for future use.

The term “Power Tools” used in the safety

instructions refers to mains-operated power

tools (with power cord) and to battery-op-

erated power tools (without power cord).

1) WORK AREA SAFETY

a) Keep work area clean and well

lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite ac-

cidents.

b) Do not operate power tools in

explosive atmospheres, such as

in the presence of  ammable

Iiquids, gases or dust. Power tools

create sparks which may ignite the

dust or fumes.

c) Keep children and bystanders

away while operating a power

tool. Distractions can cause you to

lose control.

2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY

a) Power tool plugs must match

the outlet. Never modify the

plug in any way. Do not use

any adapter plugs with earthed

(grounded) power tools. Unmodi-

 ed plugs and matching outlets will

reduce risk of electric shock.

Ensure the switch is in the off-po-

sition before connecting to power

source and/or battery pack,

picking up or carrying the tool.

wrench before turning the pow-

er tool on. A wrench or a key left at-

tached to a rotating part of the power

tool may result in personal injury.

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper

footing and balance at all times.

This enables better control of the pow-

er tool in unexpected situations.

f) Dress properly. Do not wear

loose clothing or jewellery.

Keep your hair, clothing away

from moving parts. Loose clothes,

jewellery or long hair can be caught in

moving parts.

g) If devices are provided for the

connection of dust extraction

and collection facilities, ensure

these are connected and prop-

erly used. Use of dust collection can

reduce dust-related hazards.

h) Do not be misled into safety and

do not override the safety rules

for power tools, even if you are

familiar with the power tool af-

ter multiple uses. Careless action

can quickly lead to serious injuries.

4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

a) Do not force the power tool. Use

the correct power tool for your

application. The correct power tool

will do the job better and safer at the

rate for which it was designed.

b) Avoid body contact with

earthed or grounded surfaces,

such as pipes, radiators, ranges

and refrigerators. There is an

increased risk of electric shock if your

body is earthed or grounded.

c) Do not expose power tools to

rain or wet conditions. Water

entering a power tool will increase the

risk of electric shock.

d) Do not abuse the cord. Never

use the cord for carrying, pulling

or unplugging the power tool.

Keep cord away from heat, oil,

sharp edges or moving parts.

Damaged or entangled cords increase

the risk of electric shock.

e) When operating a power tool

outdoors, use an extension cord

suitable for outdoor use. Use of a

cord suitable for outdoor use reduces

the risk of electric shock.

f) If operating a power tool in a

damp location is unavoidable,

use a residual current device

(RCD) protected supply. Use of an

RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3) PERSONAL SAFETY

a) Stay alert, watch what you are

doing and use common sense

when operating a power tool.

Do not use a power tool while

you are tired or under the inu-

ence of drugs, alcohol or medi-

cation. A moment of inattention white

operating power tools may result in

serious personal injury.

b) Use personal protective equip-

ment. Always wear eye protec-

tion. Protective equipment such as dust

mask, non-slip safety shoes, hard hat, or

hearing protection used for appropriate

off. Any power tool that cannot be

controlled with the switch is dangerous

and must be repaired.

power source and/or the bat-

tery pack from the power tool

tive safety measures reduce the risk of

starting the power tool accidentaIly.

d) Store idle power tools out of the

reach of children and do not al-

low persons unfamiliar with the

power tool or these instructions

to operate the power tool. Power

tools are dangerous in the hands of

untrained users.

e) Maintain power tools and insert

tools. Check for misalignment or

binding of moving parts, break-

age of parts and any other con-

dition that may affect the power

tool’s operation. If damaged, have

the power tool repaired before use.

Many accidents are caused by poorly

maintained power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and

clean. Properly maintained cutting

tools with sharp cutting edges are less

Iikely to bind and are easier to control.

g) Use the power tool, accessories

and tool bits etc. in accordance

with these instructions, taking

into account the working condi-

tions and the work to be per-

formed. Use of the power tool for op-

erations different from those intended

could result in a hazardous situation.

h) Keep the handles and grip sur-

face dry, clean and free of oil

and grease. Slippery handles and

gripping surfaces do not allow safe op-

eration and control of the power tool in

unforeseen situations.

5) SERVICE

Have your power tool serviced

by a qualied repair person us-

ing only identical replacement

parts. This will ensure that the safety

of the power tool is maintained.

7) SPECIAL SAFETY DIRECTIONS

FOR BATTERY-OPERATED TOOLS

a) Ensure that the device is

switched off before inserting

the battery. Inserting a battery into

a power tool that is switched on may

result in accidents.

b) Recharge the batteries indoors

only because the battery charger

is designed for indoor use only.

c) To reduce the electric shock haz-

ard, unplug the battery charger

from the mains before cleaning

the charger.

d) Do not subject the battery to

strong sunlight over long pe-

riods and do not leave it on a

heater. Heat damages the battery

and there is a risk of explosion.

e) Allow a hot battery to cool be-

fore charging.

f) Do not open up the battery and

avoid mechanical damage to the

battery. Risk of short circuit and fumes

may be emitted that irritate the respirato-

ry tract. Ensure fresh air and seek medi-

cal assistance in the event of discomfort.

g) Do not use non-rechargeable

batteries!

Special safety instructions

for oscillating sanders

Warning! Sanding can result

in the formation of hazardous

dusts (e.g. arising from mate-

rials such as paints containing

lead, materials containing as-

bestos, metals or some wood

types), which can present a

health hazard to the opera-

tor or persons in the vicinity

if touched or inhaled. Make

sure that the workplace is well

ventilated. Always wear safe-

ty goggles, safety gloves and

respiratory protection. Attach

a dust extraction system.

a) Secure the workpiece. A work-

piece that is retained with clamping

appliances or a vice is held more se-

curely than with your hand.

b) Only use the power tool for dry

sanding. Do not scrape moist

materials. Penetration of water into

the power tool increases the risk of

electric shock.

c) Avoid overheating the sanded

object and the sander itself. Pos-

sible re hazard.

d) The workpiece gets hot dur-

ing grinding. Do not touch the

machined area, allow it to cool

down. There is a risk of burning. Do

not use coolants or the like.

e) Always empty the dust container

before work breaks. Sanding dust

in the dust sack, micro lter, paper sack

(or in the lter sack or extraction system

lter) can self-ignite under unfavourable

conditions such as ying sparks caused

by grinding metals. Particular hazards

are caused if the sanding dust is mixed

with paint, polyurethane residues or oth-

er chemical substances, or if the sanded

object is hot after long working periods.

Please check the operating manual of

your vacuum cleaner whether it is suit-

able for the suction of grinding chips.

f) Connect the appliance to a power

socket with a residual current circuit

breaker of rated residual current no

more than 30 mA.

g) If the supply cord of this power

tool is damaged, it must be re-

placed by a specially prepared

cord available through the ser-

vice organization.

h) Avoid working with materials that may

be harmful to health, e.g. asbestos or

lead paints.

i) Always hold the device tightly

with both hands.

j) Wait for the sanding sheet to

come to a stop before putting

the device down.

k) Remove the mains plug:

- before working on the appliance;

- when taking a break;

- before changing the setting on the device;

- before servicing and repair;

- before maintenance and repair work.

l) Keep the device clean and dry.

Residual risks

Even if properly operating and handling this

electric tool, some residual risks will remain.

Due to its construction and build, this elec-

tric tool may present the following hazards:

a) Lung damage, if suitable respiratory

protection is not worn;

b) Abrasions.

c) Ear damage if working without ear pro-

tection.

d) Eye damage if suitable eye protection is

not worn.

e) Damage to your health caused by

swinging your hands and arms when

operating the appliance for longer pe-

riods of time or if the unit is not held or

maintained properly.

Warning! During operation, this

electric tool generates an electro-

magnetic eld which, under certain

circumstances, may impair the func-

tionality of active or passive medical

implants. To reduce the risk of seri-

ous or lethal injuries, we recommend

that persons with medical implants

consult their doctor and the manu-

facturer of their medical implant

before operating the machine.

Initial start-up

Attaching sanding sheet

Clean the sanding plate before at-

taching a sanding sheet.

Remove the mains plug rst.

Use only appropriate sanding sheet

sizes. Sanding sheets that protrude

laterally beyond the sanding plate

can cause injuries and can cause

the sanding sheets to block or tear.

The sanding plate (7) is tted with Velcro for

rapid attachment of the sanding sheet (9).

Sanding sheet with Velcro:

1. Ensure that the sanding sheet (9) lies ush.

2. Press the sanding sheet (9) evenly onto

the sanding plate (7).

Ensure that the holes are placed direct-

ly above the extraction openings of the

sanding plate (7).

Sanding sheet without Velcro:

1. Release the two clamping levers (6).

2. Slide the sanding sheet (9) under one

of the clamps (5).

3. Clamp the sanding sheet (9) by locking

the clamping lever (6).

The sanding sheet (9) must lie evenly

and tightly on the sanding plate (7).

4. Clamp the other end of the sanding

sheet (9) in the same way.

Attaching /removing /

emptying dust collection

box

Attaching the dust collection box:

1. Before connecting, ensure that the dust

collection box (4) is rmly closed.

2. You must keep the dust collection box

(4) slightly slanted when pushing it

on. Slide the dust collection box (4) all

the way onto the connection for dust

extraction (12). The nose of the dust

collection box (4) must be inserted into

the groove (13) of the connector (12).

3. Then tighten the dust collection box (4)

clockwise to lock.

Removing the dust collectionbox:

4. Unlock the dust collection box (4) coun-

terclockwise and pull the dust collec-

tion box (4) off.

Emptying the dust collectionbox:

5. Open the dust collection box (4) by

slightly squeezing it on the transparent

part and pulling the two parts apart.

6. Remove the lter insert (11) and empty it.

7. Re-insert the lter insert (11) and close

the dust collection box (4).

Empty the dust collection box regu-

larly to ensure optimal suction.

How to connect/remove

external dust extraction

Connecting external dust

extraction:

1. Push the external dust extraction adap-

tor (10) as far as it will go on the dust

extraction connector (12).

2. Connect the extraction hose from a

vacuum cleaner (sold separately) to the

external dust extraction adaptor (10).

Removing external dust

extraction

1. Remove the extraction hose from the

external dust extraction adaptor (10).

2. Disconnect the adapter for external

dust extraction (10).

If necessary, you can connect the

suction tube of a vacuum cleaner

directly to the device without an

adapter.

Adjusting the

oscillationrate

You can set the oscillation rate variable via

the oscillation rate selector (8).

Switching on/off

Make sure that the power supply

voltage matches the voltage rating

indicated on the device‘s type plate.

Turn the machine on before you ap-

proach the material to be sanded.

Connect the machine to the power

supply.

Switching on:

Push the On/off switch (2) forwards. The

device turns on.

Switching off:

Pull the On/off switch (2) backwards. The

device turns off. Caution: The sanding plate

(7) continues to oscillate for a short time.

Wait until the plate (7) comes to a standstill.

Practical tips

When working with the ap-

pliance, always wear suit-

able clothing and appropriate

protective equipment. Prior to

each use it must be ensured

that the appliance is working

correctly. Personal protective

equipment and a fully func-

tional appliance reduce the

risk of injuries and accidents.

Do not use the device without a dust

collection box or external dust extrac-

tion. Use of a dust extraction can

reduce hazards caused by dust.

When using sanding sheets without

ventilation holes, dust extraction is not

possible. Make sure that the work-

place is well ventilated.

Pull the mains plug before any ad-

justments, maintenance or repair.

Danger of electric shock.

• Move the appliance against the work-

piece once it is switched on.

• After machining, lift the sanding plate up

before turning off the device.

• Always lead the mains cable towards the

back and away from the device.

• Clean the sanding plate before attaching

a sanding sheet.

• Only work with sanding sheets in perfect

condition to achieve good sanding results.

• Work with low and even pressure and

even forward pressure. This protects the

appliance and the sanding sheet.

• Do not use the same sanding sheet to sand dif-

ferent materials (e.g. metal and then wood).

• Empty the dust collection box or the vac-

uum cleaner regularly in order to ensure

optimal suction.

Cleaning/Maintenance

Pull the mains plug before any ad-

justments, maintenance or repair.

Repair and servicing work not

described in this manual should

always be carried by our Service

Centre. Use only original parts.

The following cleaning and servicing

should be done regularly. This will ensure

a long and reliable service life.

Cleaning

Do not spray the appliance

with water and do not im-

merse it in water. Electric

shock hazard!

• Keep clean the ventilation slots, motor

housing and handles of the appliance.

Use a damp cloth or a brush. Do not use

cleaning agents or solvents. You may oth-

erwise irreparably damage the appliance.

• Clean the sanding sheet with a vacuum

cleaner or knock it out.

Maintenance

Check the lter insert (11) regularly for con-

tamination.

Storage

• Store the device in a dry place well out of

reach of children.

• Empty the dust collection box before stor-

ing the device (see “Connecting/remov-

ing/emptying the dust collection box”).

Disposal and protection

of the environment

Be environmentally friendly. Return the tool,

accessories and packaging to a recycling

centre when you have nished with them.

Electric units do not belong with do-

mestic waste.

• Return the unit to a recycling centre. The

plastic and metal parts employed can be

separated out and thus recycled use can

be implemented. Ask our Service-Center

for details.

• Defective units returned to us will be dis-

posed of for free.

Guarantee

Dear Customer,

This equipment is provided with a 3-year

guarantee from the date of purchase.

In case of defects, you have statutory rights

against the seller of the product. These

statutory rights are not restricted by our

guarantee presented below.

Terms of Guarantee

The term of the guarantee begins on the

date of purchase. Please retain the original

receipt. This document is required as proof

of purchase.

If a material or manufacturing defect occurs

within three years of the date of purchase

of this product, we will repair or replace –

at our choice – the product for you free of

charge. This guarantee requires the defec-

tive equipment and proof of purchase to be

presented within the three-year period with

a brief written description of what consti-

tutes the defect and when it occurred.

If the defect is covered by our guarantee, you

will receive either the repaired product or a

new product. No new guarantee period be-

gins on repair or replacement of the product.

Guarantee Period and Statutory

Claims for Defects

The guarantee period is not extended by

the guarantee service. This also applies for

replaced or repaired parts. Any damages

and defects already present at the time of

purchase must be reported immediately af-

ter unpacking. Repairs arising after expiry

of the guarantee period are chargeable.

Guarantee Cover

The equipment has been carefully pro-

duced in accordance with strict quality

guidelines and conscientiously checked

prior to delivery.

The guarantee applies for all material and

manufacturing defects. This guarantee does

not extend to cover product parts that are

subject to normal wear and may therefore

be considered as wearing parts (e.g. san-

ding paper) or to cover damage to break-

able parts.

This guarantee shall be invalid if the prod-

uct has been damaged, used incorrectly or

not maintained. Precise adherence to all of

the instructions specied in the operating

manual is required for proper use of the

product. Intended uses and actions against

which the operating manual advises or

warns must be categorically avoided.

The product is designed only for private

and not commercial use. The guarantee

will be invalidated in case of misuse or

improper handling, use of force, or inter-

ventions not undertaken by our authorised

service branch.

Processing in Case of Guarantee

To ensure efcient handling of your query,

please follow the directions below:

• Please have the receipt and item num-

ber (IAN 282491) ready as proof of

purchase for all enquiries.

• Please nd the item number on the rat-

ing plate.

• Should functional errors or other de-

fects occur, please initially contact the

service department specied below

by telephone or by e-mail. You will

then receive further information on the

processing of your complaint.

• After consultation with our customer

service, a product recorded as defec-

tive can be sent postage paid to the

service address communicated to you,

with the proof of purchase (receipt)

and specication of what constitutes

the defect and when it occurred. In or-

der to avoid acceptance problems and

only the address communicated to you.

Ensure that the consignment is not sent

carriage forward or by bulky goods,

express or other special freight. Please

send the equipment inc. all accessories

supplied at the time of purchase and

ensure adequate, safe transport pack-

aging.

Repair Service

For a charge, repairs not covered by

the guarantee can be carried out by

our service branch, which will be happy to

issue a cost estimate for you.

We can handle only equipment that has

been sent with adequate packaging and

postage.

Attention: Please send your equipment to

our service branch in clean condition and

with an indication of the defect.

Equipment sent carriage forward or by

bulky goods, express or other special

freight will not be accepted.

We will dispose of your defective devices

free of charge when you send them to us.

sehen ist. Versäumnisse bei der

Einhaltung der Sicherheitshinweise

und Anweisungen können elekt-

rischen Schlag, Brand und/oder

schwere Verletzungen verursachen.

Bewahren Sie alle Sicherheitshin-

weise und Anweisungen für die

Zukunft auf.

Der in den Sicherheitshinweisen verwende-

te Begriff ,,Elektrowerkzeug” bezieht sich

auf netzbetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (mit

Netzleitung) und auf akkubetriebene Elekt-

rowerkzeuge (ohne Netzleitung).

1) ARBEITSPLATZSICHERHEIT

a) Halten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich

sauber und gut beleuchtet. Un-

ordnung oder unbeleuchtete Arbeitsbe-

reiche können zu Unfällen führen.

b) Arbeiten Sie mit dem Elektro-

werkzeug nicht in expIosions-

gefährdeter Umgebung, in der

sich brennbare Flüssigkeiten,

Gase oder Stäube be nden.

e) Wenn Sie mit einem Elektro-

werkzeug im Freien arbeiten,

verwenden Sie nur Verlänge-

rungsleitungen, die auch für

den Außenbereich geeignet

sind. Die Anwendung einer für den

Außenbereich geeigneten Verlänge-

rungsleitung verringert das Risiko eines

elektrischen Schlages.

f) Wenn der Betrieb des Elektro-

werkzeugs in feuchter Umgebung

nicht vermeidbar ist, verwenden

Sie einen Fehlerstromschutzschal-

ter. Der Einsatz eines Fehlerstrom-

schutzschalters vermindert das Risiko

eines elektrischen Schlages.

3) SICHERHEIT VON PERSONEN

a) Seien Sie aufmerksam, achten

Sie darauf, was Sie tun, und

gehen Sie mit Vernunft an die

Arbeit mit einem Elektrowerk-

zeug. Benutzen Sie kein Elek-

trowerkzeug, wenn Sie müde

sind oder unter dem Einuss

von Drogen, Alkohol oder Me-

dikamenten stehen. Ein Moment

der Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch des

Elektrowerkzeuges kann zu ernsthaften

Verletzungen führen.

b) Tragen Sie persönliche Schut-

zausrüstung und immer eine

Schutzbrille. Das Tragen persönlicher

Schutzausrüstung, wie Staubmaske,

rutschfeste Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutz-

helm oder Gehörschutz, je nach Art

und Einsatz des Elektrowerkzeuges,

verringert das Risiko von Verletzungen.

c) Vermeiden Sie eine unbeab-

sichtigte lnbetriebnahme. Ver-

gewissern Sie sich, dass das

Elektrowerkzeug ausgeschaltet

ist, bevor Sie es an die Strom-

die den Staub oder die Dämpfe ent-

zünden können.

c) Halten Sie Kinder und andere

Personen während der Benut-

zung des EIektrowerkzeugs fern.

Bei Ablenkung können Sie die Kontrolle

über das Elektrowerkzeug verlieren.

2) ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT

a) Der Anschlussstecker des Elek-

trowerkzeuges muss in die

Steckdose passen. Der Stecker

darf in keiner Weise verändert

werden. Verwenden Sie keine

Adapterstecker gemeinsam mit

schutzgeerdeten Elektrowerk-

zeugen. Unveränderte Stecker und

passende Steckdosen verringern das

Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

b) Vermeiden Sie Körperkontakt

mit geerdeten OberfIächen, wie

von Rohren, Heizungen, Herden

und Kühlschränken. Es besteht

ein erhöhtes Risiko durch elektrischen

Schlag, wenn Ihr Körper geerdet ist.

c) Halten Sie Elektrowerkzeuge

von Regen oder Nässe fern. Das

Eindringen von Wasser in ein Elekt-

rowerkzeug erhöht das Risiko eines

elektrischen Schlages.

d) Zweckentfremden Sie die An-

schlussleitung nicht, um das

Elektrowerkzeug zu tragen,

aufzuhängen oder um den

Stecker aus der Steckdose

zu ziehen. Halten Sie die An-

schlussleitung fern von Hitze,

Öl, scharfen Kanten oder sich

bewegenden Teilen. Beschädigte

oder verwickelte Anschlussleitungen

erhöhen das Risiko eines elektrischen

Schlages.

Schalter haben oder das Gerät einge-

ge oder Schraubenschlüssel,

bevor Sie das Elektrowerkzeug

einschalten. Ein Werkzeug oder

Schlüssel, der sich in einem drehenden

Geräteteil bendet, kann zu Verletzun-

gen führen.

e) Vermeiden Sie eine abnormale

Körperhaltung. Sorgen Sie für

einen sicheren Stand und halten

Sie jederzeit das Gleichgewicht.

Dadurch können Sie das Elektrowerk-

zeug in unerwarteten Situationen bes-

ser kontrollieren.

f) Tragen Sie geeignete Kleidung.

Tragen Sie keine weite Kleidung

oder Schmuck. Halten Sie Haare

und Kleidung fern von sich be-

wegenden Teilen. Lockere Kleidung,

Schmuck oder lange Haare können von

sich bewegenden Teilen erfasst werden.

g) Wenn Staubabsaug- und -auf-

fangeinrichtungen montiert

werden können, sind diese

anzuschließen und richtig zu

verwenden. Verwendung einer

Staubabsaugung kann Gefährdungen

durch Staub verringern.

h) Wiegen Sie sich nicht in falscher

Sicherheit und setzen Sie sich

nicht über die Sicherheitsregeln

für elektrowerkzeuge hinweg,

auch wenn Sie nach vielfachem

Gebrauch mit dem Elektrowerk-

zeug vertraut sind. Achtloses Han-

deln kann binnen Sekundenbruchteilen

zu schweren Verletzungen führen.

4) VERWENDUNG UND BEHAND-

LUNG DES ELEKTROWERKZEUGES

a) Überlasten Sie das Elektrowerk-

zeug nicht. Verwenden Sie für

Ihre Arbeit das dafür bestimmte

Elektrowerkzeug. Mit dem pas-

senden Elektrowerkzeug arbeiten Sie

besser und sicherer im angegebenen

Leistungsbereich.

b) Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerk-

zeug, dessen Schalter defekt ist.

Ein Elektrowerkzeug, das sich nicht

mehr ein- oder ausschalten Iässt, ist

gefährlich und muss repariert werden.

c) Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der

Steckdose und/oder entfernen

Sie den Akku, bevor Sie Ge-

räteeinsteIlungen vornehmen,

Einsatzwerkzeugteile wechseln

oder das Elektrowerkzeug weg-

legen. Diese Vorsichtsmaßnahme

verhindert den unbeabsichtigten Start

des Elektrowerkzeuges.

d) Bewahren Sie unbenutzte Elek-

trowerkzeuge außerhalb der

Reichweite von Kindern auf.

Lassen Sie keine Personen das

Elektrowerkzeuge benutzen, die

mit diesem nicht vertraut sind

oder diese Anweisungen nicht

gelesen haben. Elektrowerkzeuge

sind gefährlich, wenn sie von unerfahre-

nen Personen benutzt werden.

e) Pegen Sie Elektrowerkzeu-

ge und Einsatzwerkzeuge mit

Sorgfalt. Kontrollieren Sie, ob

bewegliche Teile einwandfrei

funktionieren und nicht klem-

men, ob Teile gebrochen oder

so beschädigt sind, dass die

Funktion des Elektrowerkzeu-

ges beeinträchtigt ist. Lassen

Sie beschädigte Teile vor dem

reparieren. Viele Unfälle haben ihre

Ursache in schlecht gewarteten Elektro-

werkzeugen.

f) Halten Sie Schneidwerkzeuge

scharf und sauber. SorgfäItig ge-

pegte Schneidwerkzeuge mit schar-

fen Schneidkanten verklemmen sich

weniger und sind Ieichter zu führen.

g) Verwenden Sie Elektrowerk-

zeug, Einsatzwerkzeug, Einsatz-

werkzeuge usw. entsprechend

diesen Anweisungen. Berück-

sichtigen Sie dabei die Arbeits-

bedingungen und die auszufüh-

rende Tätigkeit. Der Gebrauch von

Elektrowerkzeugen für andere als die

vorgesehenen Anwendungen kann zu

gefährlichen Situationen führen.

h) Halten Sie die Griffe und Griff-

äche trocken, sauber und frei

von Öl und Fett. Rutschige Griffe

und Griffächen erlauben keine siche-

re Bedienung und Kontrolle des Elek-

trowerkzeugs in unvorhergesehenen

Situationen.

5) SERVICE

Lassen Sie lhr Elektrowerkzeug nur

von qualiziertem Fachpersonal

und nur mit Original-Ersatzteilen re-

parieren. Damit wird sichergestellt, dass

die Sicherheit des Gerätes erhalten bleibt.

Besondere Sicherheitshin-

weise für Schwingschleifer

Warnung! Beim Schleifen

können gesundheitsschädli-

che Stäube entstehen (z. B.

von Materialien wie bleihal-

tigen Farben, asbesthaltigem

Material, Metallen oder ei-

nigen Holzarten), deren Be-

rührung oder Einatmung eine

Gefährdung für die Bedien-

person oder in der Nähe be-

ndliche Personen darstellen

können. Sorgen Sie für eine

gute Belüftung des Arbeits-

platzes. Tragen Sie stets eine

Schutzbrille, Sicherheitshand-

schuhe und einen Atemschutz.

Schließen Sie eine Staubab-

saugung an.

a) Sichern Sie das Werkstück. Ein mit

Spannvorrichtungen oder Schraubstock

festgehaltenes Werkstück ist sicherer

gehalten als mit Ihrer Hand.

b) Verwenden Sie das Elektrowerk-

zeug nur für den Trockenschliff.

Schaben Sie keine angefeuchte-

ten Materialien. Das Eindringen von

Wasser in ein Elektrogerät erhöht das

Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

c) Vermeiden Sie eine Überhitzung

des Schleifgutes und des Schlei-

fers. Es besteht Brandgefahr.

d) Das Werkstück wird beim Schlei-

fen heiß. Nicht an der bearbeite-

ten Stelle anfassen, lassen Sie es

abkühlen. Es besteht Verbrennungs-

gefahr. Verwenden Sie kein Kühlmittel

oder ähnliches.

e) Entleeren Sie vor Arbeitspau-

sen stets den Staubbehälter.

Schleifstaub im Staubsack, Microlter,

Papiersack (oder im Filtersack bzw.

Filter des Staubsaugers) kann sich unter

ungünstigen Bedingungen, wie Funken-

ug beim Schleifen von Metallen, selbst

entzünden. Besondere Gefahr besteht,

wenn der Schleifstaub mit Lack-, Poly-

urethanresten oder anderen chemischen

Stoffen vermischt ist und das Schleifgut

nach langem Arbeiten heiß ist.
