The Freedom 1 comes in two parts, the USB dongle and
the wireless headset. There is also a micro-USB charging
cable included in the box for charging your headset
from any USB device that is able to transfer power.
The headset’s top fascia can be removed (see Page 3
for instructions) and there is an alternative design included
in the box.
The ear hook can be switched from left to right, depending
on the user’s preference. See Page 4 for more details.
Before using the headset, turn the volume down to a mid-level or
very low, then slowly adjust it to a comfortable level. Exposure
to high volume sound levels may cause temporary or permanent
damage to your hearing. You should always set your volume to
moderate levels and avoid long exposure to high volume levels.
SETUP FOR: PS4™
1. Charge the Freedom 1 Wireless headset before use.
To charge, connect one end of the micro-USB
cable to the headset and the other end into one
of the USB ports on your PS4™ system. Once the
headset is fully charged, disconnect the micro-USB
cable. Charging takes approximately 2 hours.
2. Plug the USB dongle into one of the free
USB ports on your PS4™ system.
3. Switch the Freedom 1 headset ON. If pairing does
not happen automatically, (indicated by a solid red
LED on both the USB dongle and headset), hold down
the power button until the LED on the USB dongle
starts to ash. Once they both become solid, pairing
is complete. This should be a very fast process.
4. The PS4™ system allows you to select whether the
headset will output both game and chat sound together
or only chat. To switch between the two modes, use
your controller to navigate through the following
menus accessed via your PS4™: Settings > Devices >
Audio Devices. From here you can toggle between
‘All Audio’ and ‘Chat only’. If you only want to hear
other players communicating via PlayStation™ Network,
please make sure that ‘Chat Only’ is selected.
5. From this same menu, set the volume at which your
PS4™ sends sound to the headset to maximum, and
then set the sensitivity of the microphone. Test
the microphone’s function and click on OK before
leaving. Ideally set the microphone before starting
a game to be sure the level is set correctly.
6. Use the Voice Monitor button to toggle on
and off the ability to hear yourself.
7. Use the mute slider to toggle the microphone on and off,
so you can control when other players can hear you.
8. Use the volume controls on the side of the Freedom 1 to
cut or boost the volume of the speaker in the headset.
At maximum volume you will hear a beep tone.
9. When the Freedom 1 is running low on battery (which
can affect performance) you will hear a beep tone
every minute.

SETUP FOR: PS3™
1. Charge the Freedom 1 Wireless headset before use.

chat, access the XMB™ menu, and go to : Settings >

Device. Select the Freedom 1 and from here you
can change the sensitivity of the microphone.
5. In addition, to make sure that all chat sound goes via the
Freedom 1 go to : Settings > Accessory Settings > Audio
Device Settings > Output Device. Select the Freedom 1.

Le Freedom 1 se compose de deux parties : le dongle USB
et l’oreillette sans l. La boîte contient également un câble
micro-USB permettant de recharger l’oreillette depuis un
appareil USB compatible.
La coque supérieure de l’oreillette peut être retirée (voir
page 3 pour plus d’informations), et un autre modèle est

L’oreillette peut être portée à gauche ou à droite, selon vos

Avant d’utiliser le casque, réglez le volume à bas niveau puis
augmentez-le progressivement jusqu’à obtenir un niveau d’écoute
confortable. Une exposition prolongée à un volume élevé peut
induire une perte d’audition et des dégâts irréversibles. Veillez
à toujours régler le volume à un niveau modéré et évitez toute
exposition prolongée à des niveaux sonores élevés.
INSTALLATION POUR SYSTÈME PS4™
1. Chargez l’oreillette sans l Freedom 1 avant utilisation.
Pour cela, connectez une extrémité du câble micro-USB
à l’oreillette et l’autre extrémité à un des ports USB
de votre système PS4™. Une fois l’oreillette chargée,
débranchez le câble micro-USB. Le processus de
chargement dure environ 2 heures.
2. Connectez le dongle USB à l’un des ports USB disponibles
de votre système PS4™.
3. Allumez l’oreillette Freedom 1. Si l’appairage ne se lance
pas automatiquement (indiqué par une LED rouge xe
sur le dongle USB et l’oreillette), maintenez appuyé le
bouton Marche/Arrêt jusqu’à ce que la LED du dongle
USB clignote. L’appairage est terminé lorsque les deux
LED arrêtent de clignoter. Le processus d’appairage
est très rapide.
4. Le système PS4™ vous permet de sélectionner le mode
de fonctionnement de l’oreillette : sons des jeux et du
chat, ou sons du chat uniquement. Pour basculer entre
les deux modes, utilisez votre manette pour parcourir
les menus suivants de votre PS4™ : Paramètres >
Paramètres accessoires > Paramètres périphériques
audio. Depuis ce menu, vous pouvez basculer entre le
mode “Tout audio” et “Chat uniquement”. Si vous souhaitez
uniquement entendre les autres joueurs communiquer
via le PlayStation™ Network, sélectionnez l’option “Chat

désactiver le retour de votre voix dans l’oreillette.
7. Utilisez le curseur an d’activer ou de désactiver le micro.
De cette manière, vous pourrez contrôler lorsque les
autres joueurs vous entendent.
8. Utilisez les commandes de volume sur le côté du Freedom
1 an d’augmenter ou de baisser le volume audio dans
l’oreillette. Vous entendrez un bip sonore lorsque vous
atteindrez le volume maximal.
9. Lorsque votre Freedom 1 est presque à court de batterie

vous entendrez un bip sonore toutes les minutes.

Das Freedom 1 besteht aus zwei Teilen, dem USB-Dongle

Bevor Sie das Headset in Betrieb nehmen, schalten Sie die
Lautstärke auf einen mittleren oder sehr niedrigen Pegel. Erhöhen
Sie sie dann schrittweise bis zu einem für Sie angenehmen Pegel.
Zu hohe Lautstärke kann vorübergehende oder dauerhafte
Hörschäden hervorrufen. Sie sollten Ihre Lautstärke immer auf
einen gemäßigten Pegel einstellen und darauf achten, dass Sie
nicht zu lange einer hohen Lautstärke ausgesetzt sind.
SETUP FÜR PS4™
1. Laden Sie das Freedom 1 Wireless Headset vor der
Verwendung auf. Schließen Sie zum Auaden ein Ende
des Micro-USB-Kabels an das Headset an, das andere
Ende an einen der USB-Ports Ihrer PS4™. Wenn das Headset
voll geladen ist, schließen Sie das Micro-USB-Kabel ab.
Der Ladevorgang dauert etwa zwei Stunden.

4. In den Einstellungen der PS4™ können Sie wählen, ob Spiel-
und Chatsound zusammen ausgegeben werden sollen oder
nur Chatsound zu hören sein soll. Um zwischen den beiden
Ausgabemodi zu wechseln, navigieren Sie mit Hilfe Ihres
Controllers zu folgenden Menüs der PS4™: Einstellungen
> Geräte > Audiogeräte Hier können Sie zwischen „Alles“
und „Chat-Audio“ auswählen. Wenn Sie nur hören wollen,
wie andere Spieler über das PlayStation™ Network
kommunizieren, wählen Sie bitte „Chat-Audio“.
5. Bitte stellen Sie im selben Menü den Lautstärke-Regler
des Sounds, der von Ihrer PS4™ an das Headset gesendet
wird, auf Maximum. Stellen Sie dann die Sensitivität des
Mikrofons ein. Testen Sie nun die Funktion des Mikrofons
und bestätigen Sie mit „OK“, bevor Sie das Menü schließen.
Am besten stellen Sie das Mikrofon ein, bevor Sie ein
Spiel starten, um sicherzustellen, dass der Pegel richtig
eingestellt ist.
6. Mit der Taste zur Stimmüberwachung können Sie ein- bzw.
ausschalten, ob Sie Ihre eigene Stimme hören.
7. Verwenden Sie den Stummschaltung-Schieberegler,
um das Mikrofon ein- bzw. auszuschalten. So können Sie
kontrollieren, wann andere Spieler Sie hören können.
8. Verwenden Sie die Lautstärkeregler auf der Seite des

maximale Lautstärke eingestellt wird, hören Sie einen
Piepton.
9. Wenn der Ladestand des Freedom 1 niedrig ist (was sich
auf die Leistung auswirken kann), hören Sie jede Minute
einen Piepton.

4. Um das Freedom 1 als Hauptaudioquelle für den Chat
festzulegen, öffnen Sie das XMB™-Menü und navigieren
Sie zu: Einstellungen > Peripheriegeräte-Einstellungen >
Audio-Gerät-Einstellungen > Eingabe-Gerät. Wählen Sie
das Freedom 1. Sie können nun die Sensititivät des
Mikrofons einstellen.
5. Stellen Sie außerdem sicher, dass der Chat-Sound an das
Freedom 1 gesendet wird. Navigieren Sie zu: Einstellungen >
Peripheriegeräte-Einstellungen > Audio-Gerät-Einstellungen
> Ausgabe-Gerät. Wählen Sie das Freedom 1.
6. Mit der Taste zur Stimmüberwachung können Sie ein- bzw.
ausschalten, ob Sie Ihre eigene Stimme hören.
7. Verwenden Sie den Stummschaltung-Schieberegler, um
das Mikrofon ein- bzw. auszuschalten. So können Sie
kontrollieren, wann andere Spieler Sie hören können.
8. Verwenden Sie die Lautstärkeregler auf der Seite
des Freedom 1, um die über das Headset ausgegebene
Lautstärke zu erhöhen oder zu verringern. Wenn
die maximale Lautstärke eingestellt wird, hören Sie
einen Piepton.
9. Wenn der Ladestand des Freedom 1 niedrig ist (was sich
auf die Leistung auswirken kann), hören Sie jede Minute
einen Piepton.

El auricular Freedom 1 se presenta con dos piezas: el
conector USB y el auricular inalámbrico. La caja también
contiene un cable de carga microUSB para cargar el
auricular en cualquier dispositivo USB que transmita energía.
La carcasa superior del auricular se puede quitar (consulta la
página 3 para ver cómo) y se incluye una carcasa alternativa
en la caja.
El auricular se puede poner en cualquiera de las dos orejas,
según le resulte más cómodo al usuario. Consulta la página 4
para más información.
Antes de usar los auriculares, disminuya el volumen hasta un
nivel de medio a muy bajo y, a continuación, ajústelo lentamente
hasta alcanzar el volumen adecuado. La exposición a volúmenes
