Sicherheitshinweise und Haftung
Bitte lesen Sie vor Inbetriebnahme Ihrer Fräsmaschine auch die beiliegenden allgemeinen Sicherheits-
hinweise aufmerksam durch.
- Bei Nichtgebrauch der Fräsmaschine, vor allen Servicearbeiten, vor dem Fräserwechsel usw.: Netzstecker zie-
hen!
- Stecker nur bei ausgeschalteter Maschine in die Steckdose stecken.
- Stecker und Kabel vor dem Einstecken auf Beschädigungen überprüfen. Bei Beschädigung sofort von einem Fach-
mann erneuern lassen.
- Überzeugen Sie sich vor Inbetriebnahme der Fräsmaschine, dass die Spannungsangabe auf dem Leistungsschild
mit der Netzspannung übereinstimmt. Die Maschine ist nur für Wechselstrom geeignet.
- Die Lamello Fräsmaschine ist doppelt isoliert und hat (in Übereinstimmung mit den CEE- und VDE-Bestimmungen)
ein zweiadriges Kabel ohne Schutzleiter. Sie können die Maschine ohne Bedenken an eine nicht geerdete Steckdose
anschliessen.
- Das Motorgehäuse nicht anbohren (z.B. zum Anbringen von Schildern), da dadurch die doppelte Isolation aufgehoben
wird. Zur Bezeichnung nur Klebeetiketten verwenden.
- Werkstück wenn möglich festspannen und Maschine mit beiden Händen führen.
- Nur einwandfrei geschärfte Werkzeuge verwenden, da sonst erhöhte Schnittkräfte das Werkstück wegschla-
gen.
- Den Fräser nach dem Ausschalten nicht abbremsen.
- Die Maschine nur für den in dieser Betriebsanleitung beschriebenen Verwendungszweck benützen.
- Die Maschine vor Regen und Feuchtigkeit schützen. Hersteller und Verkäufer lehnen jede Produktehaftung ab,
wenn der Liefer- bzw. Originalzustand der Fräsmaschine in irgendeiner Art verändert wird.

Einsatzbereich
Variocut™ von Lamello® ist eine Handfräsmaschine, welche sich für das Schneiden von Holz und Holzwerkstoffen
bis zu 20 mm Dicke eignet, insbesondere für Schattenfugen an Decken sowie für Dehnungfugen an schwimmend
verlegten Parkettböden. Weitere Einsatzgebiete sind das Nachschneiden von Türen oder das Heraustrennen von
verklebten Fenstergläsern bei deren Bruch.
Funktionsteile
1 Schalter Ein - und Ausschalten der Maschine
2 Höhenverstellung Einstellen der Werkzeugposition in der Vertikalen
+/- 2mm für Fugenbreite 4-8 mm
3 Tiefensteller Einstellen der Schnitttiefe je nach Werkstückdicke
Anwendung (siehe dazu A Seite 12)
1. Fugenbreite über die Höhe des Sägeblattes einstellen
2. Dicke des Materials mit dem Tiefensteller einstellen
3. Maschine einschalten
4. Gewünschten Schnitt durchführen
5. Maschine ausschalten
Werkzeugwechsel (siehe dazu B Seite 12)
1. Maschine ausstecken
2. 4 Stk. Schrauben am Bodenblech lösen und Bodenblech entfernen
3. 4 Stk. Schrauben am Sägeblatt lösen, Sägeblatt austauschen und Schrauben wieder eindrehen
4. Bodenblech aufsetzen und 4 Stk. Schrauben wieder eindrehen
Minispot Fräserwechsel
1. Maschine ausstecken
2. 4 Stk. Schrauben am Bodenblech lösen
3. Bodenblech entfernen und Maschine umdrehen
4. 4 Stk. Schrauben am Sägeblatt lösen, Sägeblatt sowie Distanzscheibe entfernen, Minispotfräser einsetzen und
Schrauben wieder eindrehen
5. Bodenblech aufsetzen und 4 Stk. Schrauben wieder eindrehen
6. 4 Stk. Schrauben entfernen, Frontplatte austauschen und Schrauben wieder einsetzen
Wartung und Reparatur
Maschine öfters ausblasen.
Reparaturen an der Fräsmaschine Lamello Variocut dürfen nur vom Hersteller oder von lizenzierten
Reparaturwerkstätten durchgeführt werden.

Safety instructions and liability
Please also read the enclosed general safety instructions carefully before putting your grooving machine
into service.
- When the grooving machine is not in use, before all servicing work, before changing the cutter, etc.: unplug the
cable!
- Ensure that the machine is switched off before inserting the plug in the socket.
- Check plug and cable for damage before inserting. If damage is found, replacement must be made immediately by
a technician.
- Make sure before starting the grooving machine that the rated voltage on the name-plate corresponds with the mains
voltage. The machine is only suitable for AC power supplies.
- The grooving machine is double-insulated and (conforming to CEE and VDE regulations) has a two-conductor cable
without ground conductor. The machine can be connected without risk to an ungrounded socket.
- Do not drill the motor case (e.g. to attach labels) since this damages the double insulation. Use only adhesive labels
for labelling.
- Clamp work tightly if possible and guide machine with both hands.
- Use only perfectly sharpened tools, since otherwise increased cutting forces may shift the work away.
- Do not stop the cutter after switching off.
- The machine should only be used for the applications described in these operating instructions.
- Do not expose to rain or use in damp locations.
- Manufacturer and retailer disclaim all product liability if the grooving machine is modified in any way from its original
state or condition as delivered, or if the grooving machine is used in a manner inconsistent with operating and safety
instructions.

General information
Variocut™ by Lamello® is a hand milling machine which is ideal to cut wood and wood composites up to 20 mm thick.
It is especially well suited for the cutting of expansion gaps on swimming parquet fl oors, shortening doors or cutting
the window glass on glued in window panes if they break.
Functional parts

Application (see A page 12)
1. Adjust the desired gap width by setting the blade height
2. Adjust the thickness of the material by setting the depth adjuster
3. Switch the machine on
4. Perform the desired cut
5. Switch the machine off
Tool change (see B page 12)
1. Unplug the machine
2. Unscrew 4 screws in the base cover and take off base cover
3. Unscrew 4 screws holding the saw blade, exchange the blade and insert the screws again
4. Place the base cover on the machine and insert the screws again
Minispot tool change
1. Unplug the machine
2. Unscrew 4 screws in the base cover
3. Take off base cover and turn the machine
4. Unscrew 4 screws holding the saw blade, remove the blade and the distance ring, insert the Minispot cutter
and insert the screws again
5. Place the base cover on the machine and insert the screws again
6. Unscrew the 4 screws, exchange the frontplate and insert the screws again
Ceaning and Repair
Blow out machine frequently
Repairs to the Lamello Variocut machine may only be performed by the manufacturer or licenced repairers.
