fully with the way the device works before

you use it for the ﬁrst time and that you

understand how to handle electrical power tools cor-

rectly. Further details can be found in the operating

instructions. Keep these instructions in a safe place.

If you pass the device on to anyone else, please

ensure that you also pass on all the documentation.

Intended Utilisation

This appliance is intended exclusively for the waxing

and buﬃng / polishing of paint ﬁnishes applied to

vehicles, boats and caravans / campervans. Use

the appliance only as described and only for the

areas of application speciﬁed. Any other use of,

and modiﬁcation to, the appliance is deemed to be

improper usage and may result in serious physical

injury. The manufacturer declines to accept respon-

sibility for damage(s) arising out of usage contrary

to the instructions speciﬁed below. The appliance is

not intended for commercial use.

WARNING!

The vibration level given in these

instructions has been measured in accordance with

a standardised measurement procedure speciﬁed

Diﬀerent uses of the device give rise to diﬀerent vibra-

tion levels and in many cases they may exceed the

values given in these instructions. It is easy to under-

estimate the vibration load if the electrical power

tool is used regularly in particular circumstances.

Note: If you wish to make an accurate assessment

of the vibration loads experienced during a particular

period of working, you should also take into account

the intervening periods of time when the device is

switched oﬀ or is running but is not actually in use.

This can result in a much lower vibration load over

the whole of the period of working.

plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of

electric shock.

b) Avoid touching earthed surfaces such

as pipes, radiators, ovens and refrig-

erators with any part of your body.

your body is earthed

c) Keep the device away from rain or

moisture. Water entering an electrical device

increases the risk of electric shock.

e) When working outdoors with an elec-

trical power tool always use extension

cables that are also approved for use

outdoors. The use of an extension cable suitable

for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

f) Use a residual current device (RCD)

for protection if operating the electri-

cal power tool in a moist environment

is unavoidable. The use of an RCD reduces

the risk of electric shock.

3. Personal safety

a) Remain alert at all times, watch what

you are doing and always proceed

with caution. Do not use the device if

you are tired or under the influence of

drugs, alcohol or medication. One mo

ment

of carelessness when using the device can lead

to serious injury.

Wear personal protective

equipment and always wear

safety glasses. The wearing of

personal protective equipment such as dust

masks, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets or

ear protectors, appropriate to the type of elec-

trical power tool used and work undertaken,

reduces the risk of injury.

c) Avoid unintentional operation of the

device. Check that the electrical power

tool is switched off before you connect

it to the mains, pick it up or carry it.

Accidents can happen if you carry the device

with your ﬁnger on the ON / OFF switch or with

the device switched on.

d) Remove any setting tools or spanners

before you switch the device on. A tool

or spanner left attached to a rotating part of a

device can lead to injury.

e) Avoid placing your body in an unnat-

ural position. Keep proper footing

and balance at all times. By doing this

you will be in a better position to control the

device in unforeseen circumstances.

f) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear

loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your

hair, clothing and gloves clear of mov-

ing parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long

hair can become trapped in moving parts.

g) If vacuum dust extraction and collection

devices are fitted do not forget to

check

that they are properly connected and

correctly used. The use of these devices

reduces the hazard presented by dust.

Careful handling and use

of electrical power tools

a) Do not overload the device. Always

use an electrical power tool that is

intended for the task you are under-

taking. By using the right electrical power

tool for the job you will work more safely and

achieve a better result.

b) Do not use an electrical power tool if

its switch is defective. An electrical power

tool that can no longer be switched on and oﬀ

is dangerous and must be repaired.

c) Pull the mains plug from the socket

before you make any adjustments to

the device, change accessories or when

the device is put away. This precaution is

intended to prevent you from unintentionally

starting the device.

d) When not in use always ensure that

electrical power tools are kept out of

reach of children. Do not let anyone use

the device if he or she is not familiar

with it or has not read the instructions

and advice. Electrical power tools are dan-

gerous when they are used by inexperienced

people.

e) Look after the device carefully. Check

that moving parts are working prop-

erly and move freely. Check for any

parts that are broken or damaged

enough to detrimentally affect the

functioning of the device. Have dam-

aged parts repaired before you use

the device. Many accidents have their origins

in poorly maintained electrical power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools clean and sharp.

Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp

cutting edges are less likely to jam and are

easier to control.

g) Use the electrical power tool, accesso-

ries, inserted tools etc. in accordance

with these instructions and advice, and

the stipulations drawn up for this par-

ticular type of device. In doing this, take

into account the working conditions

and the task in hand. The use of electrical

power tools for purposes other than those in-

tended can lead to dangerous situations.

Safety advice for

car polisher

Avoiding the danger of injury, fire and

damage to your health:

J Always pull the plug out of the mains socket

before cleaning or maintaining the device.

J Ensure that the bonnet is well secured to the

buﬃng plate.

J Do not touch any rotating parts!

Before switching on check to ensure that the

buﬃng plate is not blocked and can start up

without problem.

J Check to ensure that the bonnet and the buﬃng

plate are complete and undamaged. Immedi-

ately exchange torn or damaged bonnets /

buﬃng plates.

J Wait until the polishing disc is ﬂat on the surface

to be polished before switching on the waxer /

polisher.

J Do not use any abrasives; these can destroy

the paint ﬁnish.

J Use only the ancillaries and accessories

that are detailed in the operating in-

structions. The use of parts other than those

recommended in the operating instructions, or

other accessories, can put you at risk of injury.

J When you have become familiar with these

ances, and, with the help of the appropriate

operating instructions, know all about the func-

tions and handling of your electrical appliance,

then you can start working with it. You will

work at your safest only with careful attention

to all of the declarations and instructions of the

manufacturer.

Operation

Placing the bonnet on the

buﬃng plate

1. Turn the car polisher over so that the polishing

disc

is pointing upwards.

2. Place the bonnet

over the buﬃng

plate

. Ensure that the bonnet

is placed

centrally and taughtly onto the buﬃng plate.

Applying wax / polish

with the terry bonnet

1. Always use high quality products for waxing.

j Follow the working methods given on the

packaging.

2. Apply the wax / polish directly on the working

surface of the terry bonnet

j Spread the wax / polish so that it forms a thin,

even, complete coating over the terry bonnet

Note: Too much wax does not necessarily

achieve a better ﬁnish and you will have to

spent more time later removing the coating.

3. Spread the wax evenly right up to the edge of

the terry bonnet

waxing / polishing the paintwork

Note: The paintwork to be polished must be care-

fully cleaned and completely dry. If necessary, use

a paintwork cleaner. Use products that are appro-

priate for the demands on and condition of your

paintwork. Heavily oxidised paintwork will require

the use of a special cleaner. For this use a combined

product (cleaner + wax).

1. Place the car polisher on the surface to be pol-

ished.

Note: To avoid the splattering of wax or polish,

do not switch the appliance on yet. Dab the

appliance a few times at various points on the

area to be buﬀed. In this way you can ensure

that excess wax / polish is once more distributed

evenly over the terrycloth bonnet and the area

to be buﬀed.

2. Take both appliance grips

ﬁrmly in your

hands and switch the appliance on by pressing

the ON / OFF switch

(see also Fig. B).

3. Guide the waxer/polisher evenly over the

paintwork (see Fig. C).

Note: Do not press on the waxer /polisher!

The self-weight of the car polisher alone

applies suﬃcient pressure for the waxing / pol-

ishing process.

4. Switch the appliance oﬀ before you remove it

from the area being buﬀed. To do this, release

the ON / OFF switch

j Any diﬃcult to reach corners or recesses may

have to be completed later by hand. Take the

terry bonnet

oﬀ the car polisher and use

the bonnet for the corners and recesses.

Polishing or removing wax with

the synthetic polishing bonnet

Note: The wax / polish must be allowed to dry on

suﬃciently to produce the best polishing performance.

Otherwise any polish that is still ﬂuid will be smeared

by the polishing bonnet.

j Use the synthetic polishing bonnet

for ﬁnal

polishing or removing the wax.

j When working, always follow the instructions

for use of the wax / polish.

Cleaning and Maintenance

CAUTION! Ensure that no ﬂuids can permeate into

the appliance, this could lead to the destruction of

the product.

The appliance is maintenance-free.

j Use a slightly moist cloth to clean the housing,

if necessary with a mild detergent.

j When cleaning the housing, under no circum-

stances should you use strong detergents,

solvents or abrasives.

j Clean the bonnet by washing by hand in

soapy water.

Yleistä

Perehdy ennen ensimmäistä käyttöönottoa

laitteen toimintoihin ja tutustu sähkötyö-

kalun oikeaan käyttöön. Lue tämän lisäksi

yleiset turvaohjeet

VAROLTUS!

Lue kaikki turva- ja muut

ohjeet! Turva- ja muiden ohjeiden laiminlyönti voi

aiheuttaa sähköiskun, tulipalon ja / tai vakavia louk-

kaantumisia.

Säilytä kaikki turva- ja muut ohjeet tulevaa

tarvetta varten!

Turvallisuusohjeissa käytetty käsite ”sähkötyökalu“

koskee verkkokäyttöisiä sähkötyökoneita (verkko-

johdolla) ja akkukäyttösisiä sähkötyökoneita (ilman

johtoa).

Työpaikkaturvallisuus

a) Pidä työskentelypaikka puhtaana ja

hyvin valaistuna. Epäjärjestys ja huono

valaistus voivat johtaa tapaturmiin.

Älä käytä laitetta räjähdys-

vaarallisessa ympäristössä,

jossa säilytetään helposti

syttyviä nesteitä, kaasuja tai jossa

kehittyy pölyä. Sähkötyökalut kehittävät

kipinöintiä, joka voi sytyttää pölyn tai höyryn.

Lapsien ja asiattomien henki-

löiden läsnäolo työpaikalla

laitteen ollessa käynnissä ei

ole sallittua. Voit helposti menettää kontrollin

laitteeseen.

Sähköturvallisuus

a) Laitteen pistokkeen pitää sopia pisto-

rasiaan. Pistoketta ei saa muuttaa

millään tavalla. Älä käytä adapteria

yhdessä suojamaadoitettujen laitteiden

kanssa. Alkuperäinen pistoke ja sopivat pis-

torasia vähentävät sähköiskuvaaraa.

b) Vältä kosketusta maadoitettuihin pin-

toihin, kuten putkiin, lämpöpattereihin,

liesiin sekä jääkaappeihin. Vaarana on

saada sähköisku, jos kehosi on maadoitettu.

Älä pidä laitetta sateessa tai muussa

kosteudessa. Veden pääsy laitteeseen lisää

sähköisku vaaraa.

d) Älä kanna laitetta riiputta-

malla sitä kaapelista ja vedä

kaapeli irti pistorasiasta

pitämällä kiinni pistokkeesta. Älä jätä

kaapelia kuumaan paikkaan, älä pääs-

tä siihen öljyä, varo teräviä reunoja

sekä laitteen pyöriviä osia. Vialliset tai kie-

toutuneet kaapelit lisäävät riskiä saada sähköisku.

e) Jos työskentelet ulkotiloissa, käytä

silloin jatkokaapelia, jonka käyttö on

sallittu myös ulkotilaan. Ulkotilaan sovel-

tuva kaapeli vähentää riskiä saada sähköisku.

f) Jos sähkötyökalua joudutaan käyttä-

mään kosteassa ympäristössä, on

käytettävä vikavirtakytkintä. Vikavirta-

kytkimen käyttö pienentää sähköiskun vaaraa.

3. Henkilöiden turvallisuus

a) Ole aina tarkkaavainen, tarkista aina,

mitä teet ja toimi järkevästi sähkölait-

teilla työskennellessäsi. Älä käytä

laitetta, jos olet väsynyt, käyttänyt

huumeita, alkoholia tai lääkkeitä.

Epätarkkaavaisuus laitetta käytettäessä voi

aiheuttaa vaikeita loukkaantumisia.

Käytä henkilökohtaisia tur-

vavarusteita ja suojalaseja

aina. Henkilökohtaisten turvavarus-

teiden käyttö, kuten pölynaamari, turvakengät,

kypärä tai kuulosuoja, vähentävät loukkaantu-

misriskiä.

c) Varo käynnistämästä laitetta vahin-

gossa. Varmista, että sähkötyökalu

on kytketty pois päältä, ennen kuin

liität sen pistorasiaan, nostat sen tai

kannat sitä. Tapaturmat ovat mahdollisia,

jos sormesi on laitetta kantaessasi virtakytki-

mellä tai laite on kytketty päälle.

d) Poista kaikki työkalut ja ruuviavaimet

paikalta ennen kuin kytket laitteen.

Pyörivässä laiteosassa oleva työkalu tai avain

voi johtaa tapaturmaan.

e) Vältä työskentelemästä epätavalli-

sessa asennossa. Asetu tukevaan

asentoon ja pysyttele koko ajan tasa-

painossa. Pystyt silloin hallitsemaan laitteen

erityisesti yllättävissä tilanteissa.

f) Käytä sopivaa vaatetusta. Älä käytä

löysiä vaatteita äläkä pidä koruja.

Hiukset, vaatteet ja käsineet on pidet-

tävä etäällä liikkuvista osista. Löysät

vaatteet, korut ja avonaiset hiukset voivat jäädä

kiinni liikkuviin osiin.

g) Jos laitteeseen asennetaan pölynimu-

ri- ja lastunkeruulaite, varmistu sitä

ennen, että osat on liitetty ja niitä käy-

tetään oikein. Näiden laitteiden liittäminen

vähentää pölystä aiheutuvia vaaroja.

Sähkötyökalujen huolellinen

käsittely ja käyttö

a) Älä ylirasita laitetta. Käytä työssäsi

tätä työtä varten tarkoitettua sähkö-

työkalua. Sopivan sähkötyökalun kanssa

työskentelet paremmin ja varmemmin sen teho-

alueella.

b) Älä käytä mitään sähkötyökalua,

jonka käynnistyskytkin on viallinen.

Sähkötyökalu, jota ei voi enää kytkeä päälle

tai päältä, on vaarallinen ja se on korjattava.

c) Irrota pistotulppa pistorasiasta, ennen

kuin säädät laitetta, vaihdat sen va-

rusteita tai laitat sen varastoon. Nämä

varotoimenpiteet estävät sen, että laite käynnistyy

vahingossa.

d) Säilytä sähkötyökaluja silloin, kun nii-

tä ei käytetä, lasten ulottumattomissa.

Älä anna henkilöiden käyttää laitetta,

jos he eivät tunne sitä tai eivät ole lu-

keneet näitä käyttöohjeita. Sähkötyöka-

lut ovat vaarallisia, jos kokemattomat henkilöt

käyttävät niitä.

e) Hoida laitetta huolellisesti. Tarkasta,

toimivatko sen liikkuvat osat moit-

teettomasti ja että ne eivät jumitu;

tarkasta, onko joku osa katkennut tai

murtunut tai vahingoittunut niin, että

se haittaa laitteen toimintaa. Korjauta

vialliset osat aina ennen kuin käytät

laitetta. Moni tapaturma johtuu huonosti

huolletuista sähkötyökaluista.

f) Pidä terät terävinä ja puhtaina. Huolella

hoidetut leikkuuterät terävine leikkuureunoineen

eivät juutu niin helposti kiinni työkappaleeseen

ja ne toimivat kevyemmin.

g) Käytä sähkötyökaluja, lisätarvikkei-

ta, käyttötarvikkeita jne. tässä esitet-

tyjen määräysten mukaisesti ja aina

erityistä tyyppiä vastaavasti.Ota

huomioon työolosuhteet ja työ. Sähkö-

työkalujen käyttö muuhun kuin sille määrättyyn

tarkoitukseen voi aiheuttaa vaarallisia tilanteita.

Kiillotuskoneita koskevat

turvallisuusohjeet

Loukkaantumisten, palovaaran sekä ter-

veydellisten vaarojen estämiseksi:

J Irrota pistotulppa pistorasiasta aina ennen lait-

teen puhdistusta tai huoltoa.

J Varmista, että käytetty kiillotustyyny on kiinnitetty

kiillotuslevyyn kunnolla.

J Älä koske pyöriviin osiin!

Ennen virran kytkemistä laitteeseen tulee varmis-

taa, ettei kiillotuslevy ole estynyt ja että se voi

pyöriä vaaratta.

J Tarkasta aina, että käytettyjen tyynyjen sekä

kiillotuslevyn kunto on moitteeton. Vaihda repey-

tyneet tai vaurioituneet kiillotuslevyt / tyynyt

välittömästi uusiin.

J Kytke kiillotuskoneeseen virta vasta, kun kiillo-

tuskone on asetettu kiillotettavalle pinnalle.

J Älä käytä hankaavia aineita - ne saattavat

vahingoittaa maalipintaa.

lisälaitteet

J Käytä ainoastaan käyttöohjeessa il-

moitettuja tarvikkeita ja lisälaitteita.

Muiden kuin käyttöohjeessa suositeltujen osien

tai muiden tarvikkeiden käyttö saattaa merkitä

loukkaantumisvaaraa.

Ymmärsitkö kaiken?

J Kun olet tutustunut näihin yleisiin sähkölaitteita

koskeviin turvaohjeisiin ja tunnet vastaavan

käyttöohjeen perusteella kaikki sähkölaitteesi

toiminnot ja sen käsittelyn, voit aloittaa työs-

kentelyn. Noudattamalla kaikkia valmistajan

antamia tietoja ja ohjeita työskentelet kaikkein

turvallisimmin.

Käyttö

Tyynyn asettaminen

kiillotuslevylle

1. Käännä kiillotuskone ympäri niin, että kiillotus-

laikka

on ylöspäin.

2. Vedä tyyny

kiillotuslevyn päälle

Varmista, että tyyny istuu tiukasti ja keskellä

kiillotuslevyä

Vahan- / Kiillotustahnan

levittäminen froteemyssyllä

1. Käytä vahaamiseen ainoastaan laadullisesti

korkeatasoisia tuotteita.

j Huomioi pakkauksessa annetut käsittelyohjeet.

2. Kuljeta vahaa / kiillotustahnaa suoraan frotee-

myssyn

työpinnalle.

j Jaa vaha- / kiillotustahna niin, että saavutat

froteemyssyllä

jatkuvan tasalaatuisen,

ohuen päällysteen.

Huom: Liika vaha ei tosiaankaan paranna

tulosta, vaan vaikeuttaa vain kerroksen myö-

hempää poistamista.

3. Jaa vaha tasaisesti froteemyssyn

reunaan

saakka.

Käynnistys ja maalipinnan

vahaaminen / kiillottaminen

Huom: Käsittelyä varten täytyy maalipinnan olla

huolellisesti puhdistettu ja täydellisen kuiva. Käytä

tarvittaessa maalin puhdistajaa. Kunkin maalipinnan

vaatimuksen ja kunnon mukaan saat vastaavia tuot-

teita. Voimakkaasti hapettuneet maalit edellyttävät

erityisen puhdisteen käyttöä. Käytä sitä varten yhdis-

telmätuotetta (Puhdistaja + Vaha).

1. Aseta kiillotuskone kiillotettavalle pinnalle.

Huom: Älä käynnistä laitetta vielä, jotta vaha /

kiillotusaine ei lennä ympäriinsä. Taputtele laitetta

muutamia kertoja eri kohtiin kiillotettavaa pintaa.

Näin ylimääräinen vaha / kiillotusaine levittyy

vielä froteetyynyyn tai pinnalle.

2. Ota lujasti kiinni laitteen molemmista kahvoista

ja kytke laite päälle virtakytkimellä

(katso

myös kuva B).

3. Ohjaa kiillotuskonetta tasaisesti lakkapinnan

päällä (katso myös kuva C).

Huom: Älä paina kiillotuskonetta! Laitteen

omapaino riittää täysin puristuspaineeksi työstön

aikana.

4. Sammuta laite ennen sen ottamista pois kiillotet-

tavalta pinnalta. Päästä tätä varten virtakytkin

jälleen irti.

j Nurkat ja syvennykset, joihin laite ei ylety, on

työstettävä käsin. Käytä siinä kiillotuskoneesta

irrotettua froteesuojusta

Kiillotus tai vahaus

tekokuitu-kiillotusmyssyllä

Huom: Vaha- / kiillotustahna täytyy olla riittävästi

kuivunut, jotta optimaalinen kiillotusprosessi voidaan

suorittaa. Muussa tapauksessa vielä juokseva kiillote

tulee kiillotusmyssyllä tiivistetyksi.

j Käytä seuraavaa kiillotus- tai vahausmenetelmää

varten synteettistä kiillotusmyssyä

j Noudata käsittelyssä vahan / kiillotusaineen

käyttöohjeita.

Huolto ja puhdistus

VAROLTUS!

LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!

Katkaise laitteesta virta laitteen käytön päätyttyä ja

ota pistotulppa pois pistorasiasta.

VARO! Varmista, ettei laitteen sisälle pääse nesteitä,

se johtaa tuotteen vaurioitumiseen.

Laite ei vaadi kunnossapitoa.

j Puhdista kotelo kevyesti kostutetulla kankaalla

ja tarvittaessa miedolla puhdistusaineella.

j Älä missään tapauksessa puhdista koteloa

bensiinillä, liuotinaineilla tai puhdistusaineilla.

j Puhdista myssyt käsipesussa saippualiuoksella.

Huolto

VAROLTUS!

Anna laitteet huolto-

liikkeen tai sähköliikkeen korjattavak-

si. Korjauksissa saa käyttää vain al-

kuperäisiä varaosia. Laitteesi säilyy näin

turvallisena.

VAROLTUS!

Laitteen pistokkeen

tai verkkojohdon saa vaihtaa vain

laitteen valmistaja tai sen valtuuttama

huoltoliike. Laitteesi säilyy näin turvallisena.

Takuu

Laitteen takuu on 3 vuotta ostopäivästä.

Laite on valmistettu huolellisesti ja tarkis-

tettu tarkasti ennen toimitusta. Säilytä

ostokuitti todisteeksi takuun voimassaolos-

ta. Ota takuutapauksessa puhelimitse

yhteyttä huoltopisteeseesi. Vain näin voi-

daan taata tuotteesi maksuton lähettä-

minen huoltoon.

Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaali- ja valmistusvir-

heitä, ei kuitenkaan kuljetusvaurioita, kuluvia osia

tai herkästi vaurioituvien osien, esim. kytkinten tai

akkujen vaurioita. Tuote on tarkoitettu ainoastaan

yksityiseen, ei kaupalliseen käyttöön.

Väärä tai asiaton käyttö, väkivallan käyttö ja muiden

kuin valtuutetun huoltopisteen suorittamat korjauk-

set aiheuttavat takuun raukeamisen. Tämä takuu ei

rajoita kuluttajan lakisääteisiä oikeuksia.

Takuukorjaus ei pidennä takuuaikaa. Tämä koskee

myös vaihdettuja ja korjattuja osia. Mahdollisista jo

ostettaessa olemassa olevista vahingoista ja puut-

teista on ilmoitettava välittömästi pakkauksesta pur-

kamisen jälkeen, kuitenkin viimeistään kaksi päivää

ostopäiväyksen jälkeen. Takuuajan jälkeen suorite-

tut korjaukset ovat maksullisia.
