Parte 1ª - ISTRUZIONI PER L’INSTALLAZIONE

1 - GENERALITÀ

Questa cappa è predisposta per essere installata sopra un piano di cottura posizio-

nato a ridosso di una parete. Può essere fissata sotto un pensile o direttamente a

muro. Può essere utilizzata in versione aspirante (evacuazione esterna), oppure in

versione filtrante (riciclo interno). Si raccomanda che l’installazione venga effet-

tuata da personale specializzato, rispettando tutte le prescrizioni delle autori-

tà competenti relative allo scarico dell’aria da evacuare. Il produttore declina

qualsiasi responsabilità per danni dovuti ad installazione non corretta o non

conforme alle regole dell’arte.

2 - AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA

2.1 - Non collegare il gruppo a condotti di scarico dei fumi prodotti da combustione (caldaie, caminetti,ecc...).

2.2 - Verificare che la tensione di rete corrisponda a quella riportata nella targhetta posta all’interno del gruppo.

2.3 - Collegare il gruppo alla rete interponendo un interruttore bipolare con apertura dei contatti di almeno 3

mm.

2.4 - Questo apparecchio non necessita di messa a terra, poiché é dotato di doppio isolamento.

2.5 - La distanza minima di sicurezza tra il piano di cottura e il gruppo è di 65 cm.

2.6 - Non fare cucine alla fiamma sotto il gruppo.

2.7 - Controllare le friggitrici durante l’uso: l’olio surriscaldato potrebbe infiammarsi.

2.8 - Prima di procedere a qualsiasi operazione di pulizia o di manutenzione, disinserire l’apparecchio togliendo

la spina o agendo sull’interruttore generale.

2.9 - Nel caso in cui nella stanza vengano utilizzati sia il gruppo che apparecchi non azionati da energia

elettrica (ad esempio apparecchi utilizzatori a gas), si deve provvedere ad una aerazione sufficiente

dell’ambiente. Un uso proprio e senza rischi si ottiene quando la depressione massima del locale non

supera 0,04 mBar; si evita in questo modo un ritorno dei gas di scarico.

2.10 -L’apparecchio deve essere posto in modo che la spina sia accessibile.

2.11 -Se il cavo di alimentazione é danneggiato, esso deve essere sostituito da un cavo o un assieme speciale

disponibili presso il costruttore o il suo servizio assistenza tecnica.

3 - INSTALLAZIONE

3.1 - Installazione al muro

La cappa può essere dotata di due diversi kit di fissaggio:

a) viti, tasselli e squadretta di sicurezza.

b) viti, tasselli e staffe metalliche.

1 - Fissaggio con viti:

Con l’ausilio della dima in cartone effettuare la foratura della parete (2 fori Ø 8 mm

leggere le istruzioni nella dima), inserire i tasselli nei fori, avvitare le due viti 4,2 x

44,4 (in dotazione) lasciando circa 5 mm non avvitati, agganciare la cappa alle viti

al serraggio definitivo (fig. 2).

Montare sopra la cappa la

squadretta di sicurezza (in dota-

zione) (fig. 3).

2 - Fissaggio con staffe:

Con l’ausilio della dima in carto-

ne effettuare la foratura della pa-

rete (4 fori Ø 8 mm leggere le

istruzioni nella dima), fissare le

staffe metalliche con viti e tasselli

(in dotazione), agganciare la cap-

pa alle staffe (fig. 4). Fissare la

cappa con due pomelli (in dotazio-

ne) (fig. 5). Regolare l’assetto oriz-

zontale della cappa ruotando le viti

di regolazione (fig. 6).

3.2 - Installazione al pensile

Con l’ausilio della dima in cartone

forare il fondo del mobile pensile,

(leggere le istruzioni nella dima). Fis-

sare la cappa dall’interno del mobi-

le con quattro viti da 4,2 x 44,4 (in

dotazione) (fig. 7). Per cappe in ver-

sione aspirante, deve essere effet-

tuata la foratura del pensile per il

passaggio del tubo evacuazione

dell’aria. Per cappe in versione fil-

trante non é necessario effettuare

questo tipo di foratura, in quanto

l’aria viene riciclata nell’ambiente at-

traverso le asole poste nella parte anteriore della cappa.

3.3 - Connessione aspirante o filtrante

1 - Connessione aspirante (l’aria aspirata viene con-

vogliata all’esterno dell’abitazione)

La cappa dotata di due fori per l’uscita dell’aria,

viene fornita di serie con il tappo in plastica monta-

to nel foro posteriore, la flangia in dotazione, verrà

montata in funzione della soluzione scelta; uscita

superiore (fig. 8), uscita posteriore (fig. 9). Nel caso

di installazione con uscita posteriore, il tappo in

plastica va montato nel foro superiore e la flangia

nel foro posteriore. Collegare con un tubo Ø 100 o

120 mm la flangia di uscita dell’aria, alla tubazione

di evacuazione esterna. Aprire la griglia di aspira-

zione premendo i pomelli verso l’interno (fig. 10),

controllare che la leva (cappa ad un motore) o l’in-

dice della manopola (cappa a due motori) sia col-

locata in posizione aspirante (fig. 11), togliere se

presente la cartuccia al carbone attivo ruotando la

manopola in senso antiorario (vedi par. 3.3 2 parte

). Rispettare l’avvertenza 2.1.

2 - Connessione filtrante (l’aria aspirata viene filtrata e riciclata all’interno dell’abitazio-

ne)

Aprire la griglia di aspirazione, controllare che la leva (cappa ad un motore) o l’indice

della manopola (cappa a due motori) sia collocata in posizione filtrante (fig. 11),

montare la cartuccia al carbone attivo (vedi par. 3.3 2 parte 2

3.4 - Collegamento elettrico e controllo funzionale

1 - É necessario rispettare scrupolosamente le avvertenze dei punti 2.2, 2.3 e 2.4 del

paragrafo 2 relative alla sicurezza.

2 - Effettuato il collegamento elettrico, verificare il corretto funzionamento di illumina-

zione, accensione del motore, cambio delle velocità.

1 - AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA

(È assolutamente necessario rispettare tutte le avvertenze riportate al paragrafo 2

della 1

parte - Istruzioni per l'installazione). In aggiunta, è molto importante fare

particolare attenzione, nell'uso e nella manutenzione, alle seguenti avvertenze:

1.1 - Effettuare una scrupolosa e tempestiva manutenzione dei filtri antigrasso e al

carbone attivo, secondo gli intervalli consigliati dal Fabbricante, o più

frequentemente, per un uso particolarmente gravoso (oltre le 4 ore giornaliere).

1.2 - Non lasciare fiamme libere a forte intensità sotto la cappa in funzione: togliendo le

pentole, spegnere la fiamma o almeno, per brevi periodi e sotto sorveglianza,

tenerla al minimo.

1.3 - Regolare sempre le fiamme in modo da evitare una evidente fuoriuscita laterale

delle stesse rispetto al fondo delle pentole: si risparmia energia e si evitano

pericolose concentrazioni di calore.

1.4 - Non fare mai un uso improprio dell'apparecchio, che è stato progettato esclu-

sivamente per abbattere gli odori in cucina.

2 - USO

Quadro comandi (fig. 12)

TASTO T1 = Accende e spegne l'impianto di illuminazione.

TASTO T2 = Accende e spegne il motore. Velocità minima, adatta ad un ricambio

d’aria continuo particolarmente silenzioso, in presenza di pochi vapo-

ri di cottura.

TASTO T3 = Velocità media, adatta alla maggior parte delle condizioni di uso, dato

l’ottimo rapporto tra portata d’aria trattata e livello di rumorosità.

TASTO T4 = Velocità massima, adatta a fronteggiare le massime emissioni di va-

pori di cottura, anche per tempi prolungati.

L = Spia di funzionamento.

3 - MANUTENZIONE

Una costante manutenzione garantisce un buon funzionamento ed un buon rendi-

mento nel tempo. Particolari attenzioni vanno rivolte ai filtri antigrasso e, per le sole

cappe filtranti, ai filtri al carbone attivo.

3.1 - Filtro antigrasso in fibra sintetica

1 - Non può essere lavato, ma va

sostituito mediamente ogni due

mesi. Se il filtro é dotato di in-

dicatori chimici di saturazione,

sostituire quando il colore ros-

so dei puntini visibile dall’ester-

no é diffuso su tutta la superfi-

cie.

2 - Sostituzione

Aprire la griglia di aspirazione,

togliere i fermafiltro in filo me-

tallico e sostituire il filtro

antigrasso (fig. 13). Richiudere

la griglia di aspirazione.

3.2 - Filtri antigrasso metallici

1 - Pulizia

È necessario lavare con normale detersivo domestico questi filtri al massimo ogni 2

mesi. La loro dimensione compatta consente il lavaggio anche in lavastoviglie.

2 - Smontaggio dei filtri

Aprire la griglia di aspirazione, togliere i fermafiltro in filo metallico e il filtro antigrasso

(fig. 13). Asciugare bene il filtro prima di rimontarlo, richiudere la griglia di aspirazio-

ne.

ATTENZIONE - è necessario rispettare i tempi di manutenzione indicati, per

evitare un possibile incendio se i filtri sono saturi di grassi.

3.3 - Filtri al carbone attivo

1 - Funzionamento

I filtri al carbone attivo hanno la capacità di trattenere gli

odori fino a raggiungere la saturazione. Non sono lava-

bili e non sono rigenerabili e vanno pertanto sostituiti

almeno ogni 4 mesi o, più frequentemente per un uso

particolarmente intenso.

2 - Sostituzione

Aprire la griglia di aspirazione, sostituire i filtri al carbo-

ne attivo girando la manopola di fissaggio in senso antiorario per smontare, in senso

orario per rimontare (fig. 14). Richiudere la griglia di aspirazione.

3.4 - Illuminazione

É costituita da 1 o 2 lampade da 40

W a cui si ha accesso aprendo la

griglia di aspirazione (Fig.15). Se le

lampade non funzionano, controlla-

re che siano ben avvitate. Se le lam-

pade sono bruciate, devono essere

sostituite con altre di pari voltaggio

e potenza.

3.5 - Pulizia

Per la normale pulizia della cappa:

- Non utilizzare panni o spugne bagnate, nè getti d'acqua;

- Non utilizzare diluenti o alcoli poiché potrebbero opacizzare le superfici verniciate;

- Non utilizzare sostanze abrasive, in particolare sulle superfici in acciaio inox.

Si consiglia di utilizzare un panno umido e detersivo liquido neutro.

Part 1 - INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1 - GENERAL INFORMATION

This hood has been designed to be wall-mounted above a cooking hob. It can be

installed under a wall unit or directly onto a wall. It can work either by ducting system

(external discharge) or filter (internal recirculation). Before starting the installation,

consideration should be given to the difficulties to be found during installation.

The installation work must be undertaken by a qualified and competent person

in conformity to the rules concerning the evacuation of contaminated air. The

manufacturer disclaims all liability for any damage or injury caused as a result

of not following the instructions for installation contained in the following text.

2 - SAFETY WARNINGS

2.1 - When used in the extraction mode, the cooker hood ducting must not be connected to a flue which is

used for exhausting fumes from appliances supplied with energy other than electric, such as a central

heating flue or water heating flue.

2.2 - Before connecting to the mains supply ensure that the mains voltage corresponds with the voltage on the

rating plate inside the hood.

2.3 - Connect the cooker hood to the mains via a bipolar switch which has 3mm clearance between the

contacts.

2.4 - The device does not require earthing, as it is double-insulated.

2.5 - When installed, the hood must be positioned at least 65 cm above the hotplate.

2.6 - Never do flambé cooking under this cooker hood.

2.7 - Never leave frying pans unattended during use as overheated fat and oil may catch fire.

2.8 - Before carrying out any kind of maintenance or cleaning, disconnect the hood from the mains supply.

2.9 - If the room where the cooker hood is to be used contains a fuel burning appliance such as a central

heating boiler then this must be of the room sealed or balanced flue type. If other types of flue or

appliance are fitted, ensure that there is an adequate supply of air into the room. When the cooker hood

is used in conjunction with appliances supplied with energy other than electric, the negative pressure in

the room must not exceed 0,04 mbar to prevent fumes being drawn back into the room by the cooker

hood.

2.10 -The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.

2.11 -If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the

manufacturer or its service agent.

3 - INSTALLATION

3.1 - Wall installation

The hood can be supplied with two different fixing kits:

a) screws, plugs and safety square.

b) screws, plugs and metal brackets.

1 - Fixing with screws

Using the cardboard template,

mark and drill the holes on the

wall (2 holes Ø 8 mm see

instructions on the template),

insert the plugs in the holes,

tighten both 4,2 x 44,4 screws

(supplied) leaving about 5 mm

unscrewed, hook the hood onto

the screws (fig. 1) and secure

tightly from inside (fig. 2). Mount

the safety square (supplied) above

the hood (fig. 3).

2 - Fixing with brackets

Using the cardboard template,

mark and drill the holes on the wall

(4 holes Ø 8 mm see instructions

on the template), fix the metal

brackets with screws and plugs

(supplied), hook the hood onto the

brackets (fig. 4). Fix the hood with two knobs (supplied) (fig. 5). Make sure the hood

is level and, if necessary, adjust by acting upon the adjustment screws (fig. 6).

3.2 – Wall unit installation

Using the cardboard template, mark

and drill the bottom of the wall unit,

(see instructions on the template).

Fasten the hood from inside the unit

using four screws 4,2 x 44,4

(supplied) (fig.7). For suction hoods,

the wall unit must be drilled to allow

for the air discharge duct. Filter hoods

do not require this type of drilling

operation since the air is recycled into

the room through vents situated on

the front of the hood.

3.3 - Connecting suction or filter hoods

1 - Connecting suction hoods (air is discharged into the atmosphere)

The hood comes with two air outlets, a plastic cover

fitted in the rear hole and a flange to be fitted

according to the solution chosen: top discharge (fig.

8), rear discharge (fig. 9). In case of installation with

rear discharge, fit the plastic cover in the top hole

and the flange in the rear hole. Using a pipe Ø 100

o 120 mm, connect the air discharge flange to the

external discharge duct. Open the grid panel by

pressing inwards on the knobs (fig. 10), check that

the lever (hood with one motor) or the handle (hood

with two motors) points to the ducting mode position

(fig. 11), remove the charcoal filter, if any, by turning

the handle anti-clockwise (see par.3.3 2 part 2°).

2 - Connecting filter hoods (air is filtered and recirculated inside the room)

Open the grid panel, check that the lever (hood with one motor) or the handle (hood

with two motors) points to the filter mode position (fig. 11), insert the charcoal filter

(see par.3.3 2 part 2°).

3.4 - Electrical connection and working test

1 - The safety measures 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 of paragraph 2 are to be strictly observed.

2 - Once the electrical connection has been completed, check that the worktop

illumination, motor and speeds work properly.

1 - SAFETY WARNINGS

(It is most important that all the warnings shown in paragraph 2 of the Installation

Instructions are strictly observed). Moreover, special attention must be paid to the

following warnings during the use and maintenance of the cooker hood:

1.1 - The grease filters and the charcoal filters should be cleaned or replaced as

recommended by the manufacturer or more frequently if the hood is used

consistently (more than 4 hours per day).

1.2 - When using a gas hob in connection with the cooker hood never leave the burners

of the hob uncovered while the hood is in use or when the pans have been

removed. Switch off the gas before removing the pan or for just short periods and

never leave the hob unattended.

1.3 - Always ensure that the appliance is kept at the correct intensity to prevent the

flame from licking round from the bottom of the pan; this will save energy and will

avoid a dangerous concentration of heat.

1.4 - Always ensure that the appliance is used in accordance with the manufacturer’s

instructions for the removal of contaminated odours during cooking.

2 - USE

Control panel (fig. 12)

BUTTON T1 = controls the worktop illumination.

BUTTON T2 = switches the motor on or off. Low speed, should be selected when

simmering or using only one pan: the noise level is kept to the

minimum.

BUTTON T3 = medium speed, should be selected for normal cooking. This speed

offers the best ratio between air capacity and noise level.

BUTTON T4 = top speed, should be selected when frying or cooking food with strong

odours, even for a long period.

L = pilot light

Part 2 - USE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

3 - MAINTENANCE

Regular maintenance will ensure good performance and extend the working life of

the hood. Special attention should be taken to the grease filters and, for the filter

hoods only, to the charcoal filters.

3.1 - Synthetic grease filters

1 - They cannot be washed and

should be replaced every two

months on average. If the filter

is equipped with chemical

indicators of saturation, replace

it when the visible red-coloured

dots show all over the surface.

2 - Replacement

Open the grid panel, remove the

steel-wire clips and replace the

grease filter (fig. 13). Close the

grid panel.

3.2 - Metal grease filters

1 - Cleaning

These filters need to be washed with ordinary household detergent every 2 months

maximum. Thanks to their reduced dimensions, they can also be washed in the

dishwasher.

2 - Removing the filter

Open the grid panel, remove the steel wire clips and the grease filter (fig. 13). Make

sure that the filter is dry before replacing it, close the grid panel.

WARNING : Respect replacement and maintenance schedules recommended

in order to avoid fire hazards caused by over-saturated filters.

3.3 - Charcoal filters

1 - How they work

Charcoal filters can absorb smells and odours until they

are saturated. They cannot be washed or recycled and

so they should be replaced at least every 4 months or

more frequently if the hood is heavily used.

2 - Replacement:

Open the grid panel, replace the charcoal filter by turning

the locking handle anti-clockwise for removing and

clockwise for replacing (fig. 14). Close the grid panel.

3.4 - Lighting

It is composed of one or two 40 W

lamps which can be reached by

removing the grid panel (Fig.15).

If the lights fail to function, check

that they are fully screwed into

place. If they have blown, they

should be replaced with similar

lamps having the same voltage and

power.

3.5 - Cleaning

When cleaning the hood:

- Never use a wet cloth or sponge, or running water.

- Never use thinners or products containing alcohol, as they might damage the

paintwork.

- Never use abrasive cleaning materials, in particular when cleaning stainless steel

surfaces.

It is recommended to use a damp cloth and mild liquid household cleaner.

contre le mur. Elle peut être utilisée dans la version aspirante (évacuation externe)

ou dans la version filtrante (recyclage interne). L’appareil étant complexe, il est

préférable que l’installation soit effectuée par un spécialiste tout en respectant

les prescriptions des autorités concernant l’évacuation de l’air. La

responsabilité du producteur ne saurait être engagée pour tout incident ou

accident provoqué par une installation défectueuse.

2 - CONSEILS CONCERNANT LA SECURITE

2.1 - N’utilisez jamais pour le raccordement une cheminée servant de conduit de fumée (chaudières, cheminées,

etc...)

2.2 - Vérifiez que la tension du secteur soit identique aux valeurs indiquées sur la plaquette signalétique

figurant à l’intérieur de la hotte.

2.3 - Reliez la hotte au réseau en interposant un interrupteur bipolaire avec ouverture des contacts de 3 mm

au moins.

2.4 - Produit double isolation ne nécessitant pas obligatoirement une prise de terre.

2.5 - La distance de sûreté minimum entre le plan de cuisson et la hotte est de 65 cm.

2.6 - Il est interdit de faire flamber des préparations sous la hotte.

2.7 - Lorsque des fritures sont effectuées sous la hotte en fonctionnement, elles doivent faire l’objet d’une

surveillance permanente: l’huile surchauffée pourrait s’enflammer.

2.8 - Avant d’effectuer le nettoyage ou l’entretien de la hotte, débranchez l’appareil ou agissez sur l’interrupteur

omnipolaire de votre installation.

2.9 - Une ventilation convenable de la pièce doit être prévue si une hotte de cuisine et des appareils alimentés

par une énergie autre que l’énergie électrique évacuent les fumées simultanément. Une utilisation sans

dangers est possible si la dépression maximum qui se crée dans la pièce est inférieure à 0,04 mbar, ce

que évite un retour des gaz de décharge dans la pièce.

2.10 -L’appareil doit être placé de façon telle que la fiche de prise de courant soit accessible.

2.11 -Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplace par un câble ou un ensemble spécial

disponible auprés du fabricant ou de son service aprés vente.

3 - INSTALLATION

3.1 - Installation contre le mur

La hotte peut être équipée de deux différents kits de fixation:

a) vis, goujons et petite équerre de sécurité .

b) vis, goujons et étriers métalliques.

1 - Fixation avec vis

À l’aide du gabarit en carton, effectuer le perçage de la paroi (2 trous Ø 8 mm, lire

les instructions reportées sur le gabarit), insérer les goujons dans les trous, visser

les deux vis 4,2 x 44,4 (fournies

avec l’appareil) sans les serrer à

fond (laisser 5 mm. de jeu

environ), accrocher la hotte aux

vis (fig. 1) puis effectuer le

serrage définitif depuis l’intérieur

(fig. 2). Monter la petite équerre

de sécurité (fournie avec

l’appareil) sur la hotte (fig. 3).

2 - Fixation avec étriers

Effectuer le perçage de la paroi à

l’aide du gabarit en carton (4 trous

Ø 8 mm, lire les instructions

reportées sur le gabarit), fixer les

étriers métalliques au moyen des

vis et goujons (fournis avec

l’appareil), puis accrocher la hotte

aux étriers (fig. 4).

Fixer la hotte au moyen de deux

pommeaus (fournies avec l’appareil) (fig. 5). Régler la mise à niveau horizontale de

la hotte en tournant les vis de réglage (fig. 6).

3 - Respecter les indications reportées dans l’avertissement 2.5.

3.2 - Installation avec élément mural

Percer le fond de l’élément mural à

l’aide du gabarit en carton (lire les

instructions reportées sur le gabarit).

Fixer la hotte depuis l’intérieur de

l’élément mural au moyen de quatre

vis 4,2 x 44,4 (fournies avec

l’appareil) (fig.7). Pour les hottes

dans la version aspirante, il faut

effectuer le perçage de l’élément

mural pour permettre le passage du

tuyau d’évacuation de l’air. Pour les

hottes dans la version filtrante, il

n’est pas nécessaire d’effectuer ce

type de perçage, étant donné que

l’air est recyclé dans le local à travers les orifices

placés dans la partie avant de la hotte.

3.3 - Connexion aspirante ou filtrante

1 - Connexion aspirante (l’air aspiré est convoyé à

l’extérieur de l’appartement)

La hotte, équipée de deux ouvertures pour la sortie

de l’air, est fournie en série avec un bouchon en

plastique monté dans l’ouverture arrière. La bride

fournie avec la hotte sera montée en fonction de

la solution choisie; sortie supérieure (fig. 8), sortie

arrière (fig. 9). Dans le cas d’installation avec sortie

arrière, le bouchon en plastique devra être monté

dans l’ouverture supérieure et la bride dans l’ou-

verture arrière. Connecter la bride de sortie de l’air

au conduit d’évacuation externe au moyen d’un

tuyau Ø 100 ou 120 mm. Ouvrir la grille d’aspiration

en appuyant sur les boutons vers l’intérieur (fig.

10), contrôler que le levier (hotte à un moteur) ou

l’indicateur de la poignée (hotte à deux moteurs)

se trouve sur la position aspirante (fig. 11), retirer

la cartouche à charbon actif, si présente, en faisant

tourner la poignée dans le sens contraire à celui

des aiguilles d’une montre (voir paragraphe 3.3 2,

partie 2). Respecter les indications reportées dans l’avertissement 2.1.
