We congratulate you on the purchase of your new device.

You have chosen a high quality product. These operating

instructions form a part of this product. They contain important

information on safety, use and disposal. Make yourself familiar with all

the operating instructions and safety advice for the product before use.

Use the product only as described and for the indicated purpose. If

you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also

pass on all the documentation with it. Check that the correct mains volt-

age is available and that all the parts have been properly assembled

before bringing into use.

Proper use

This lamp is designed for use indoors only, in dry and enclosed rooms.

This product is intended for use in a private, domestic environment

only. Other uses or modiﬁcation of the product shall be considered as

improper use and could lead to injury or damage. The manufacturer

accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from improper use.

To avoid danger to life from electric shock

Before connecting the lamp to the mains, always check it and the

mains lead / plug 4

for any damage. Never use your lamp if you

discover that it is damaged in any way.

If the external ﬂexible lead of this lamp becomes damaged, avoid

danger and have it replaced by the manufacturer, his servicing

agent or an equivalent electrical appliance repair specialist.

Safety advice

CAUTION! A damaged mains lead presents a serious

danger to life from electric shock. In the event of damage,

repairs or other problems with the lamp, please contact

the Service Centre or an electrician.

Never let the lamp come into contact with water or other liquids.

Never open any electrical devices such as switches, ﬁttings etc. or

allow any object to be inserted into them. This sort of interference

can lead to a serious danger to life from electric shock.

Touch only the insulated part of the plug when connecting to or

disconnecting from the mains supply.

Before installation ensure that the available mains voltag e agrees

with the operating voltage required for the lamp (230–240 V ∼).

To avoid danger of ﬁre and injury

DANGER OF INJURY! Check all bulbs and shades for damage

immediately after unpacking. Do not ﬁt a defective shade into the

lamp. In this event contact the Service Centre for a replacement.

DANGER OF BURNS! Ensure the lamp has been switched oﬀ

and allowed to cool before you touch it. In this way you will avoid

the danger of burns. Light bulbs develop a great deal of heat.

Replace defective bulbs immediately. Before replacing the bulb,

always remove the mains plug from the mains socket.

Allow the lamp to cool for at least 15 minutes before replacing a

defective bulb.

DANGER OF FIRE! Always ensure that there is at

least 0.2 m clear distance between the lamp and other

items of furniture or furnishings.

Do not allow any objects to cover the lamp. Fire can result from

the development of too much heat.

Safety advice / Operation

Position the lamp so that it is protected from moisture and dirt.

Never leave the lamp operating unattended.

Use the above-indicated bulbs only.

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! If protective glass is

broken, replace prior to using the lamp again.

Operation

Using the lamp

Always ensure that there is at least 20 cm clear distance between

the lamp and other items of furniture or furnishings.

Unwind the mains cable 4 completely before use.

Insert the mains plug 4 into the socket.

Set the lamp head

to the desired height with the telescopic arm

Set the lamp head 1 in the desired position with the adjustment

lever 2.

CAUTION! DANGER OF BURNS! If the lamp is switched on,

adjust the lamp head 1 with only the adjustment lever 2. Do

not touch the lamp head 1. The lamp head 1 gets very hot

when the lamp is switched on.

Set the ON / OFF switch 3 into position I to switch on the device.

Set the ON / OFF switch 3 into position 0 to switch oﬀ the device.

Replacing a bulb

CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Pull the mains plug 4 out of the socket.

Note: To do this you will require a crosshead screwdriver.

Allow the bulb 8 to cool down completely.

Note: Ensure that the lamp shade 7 does not fall out when the

last screw 6 is released.

Screw out the screws 6 in the direction and completely

remove all the glass-retainers.

Remove the lamp shade 7.

Draw the defective bulb 8 out of the socket.

Use a clean, ﬂuﬀ-free cloth when you are replacing a bulb.

Then insert a new bulb (max. 20 W) into the socket.

Note: Ensure that the pins are correctly engaged in the socket.

Place the lamp shade 7 back into the recess.

Screw in the screws 6 in the direction .

Note: Ensure that the brackets of the glass-retainers rest properly

against the lamp shade 7.

Cleaning and maintenance

CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Before cleaning, always pull out the mains plug 4 out of the socket.

Do not use solvents such as petrol and the like as they could

damage the lamp.

For electrical safety reasons, never clean the lamp with water or

other ﬂuids or immerse it in water. Use a dry, ﬂuﬀ-free cloth for

cleaning.

The lamp is maintenance-free.

Disposal / Warranty and Service

Disposal

The packaging consists entirely of environmentally friendly

materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling

facility.

The symbol of the wheelie bin with a cross through It means

that, in the European Union, the product has to be disposed

of in a separate refuse collection. This applies to the product

and to all components bearing this symbol. Products marked in this

way may not be disposed of with normal domestic waste but have to

be handed in at a recycling collection point for electrical and electronic

appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials

and to ease the burden on the environment.

This product has a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase; the war-

ranty is only valid for the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase. The warranty applies

to material or manufacturing defects only. It does not cover wear parts

or damage caused by improper use. The guarantee lapses in cases of

unauthorized tampering. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any

way by this warranty. Please contact the service centre by telephone. In

the event of any claims under the warranty. This is the only way to en-

sure that your instrument can be returned free of charge.

cydowali się Państwo na zakup produktu wysokiej jakości.

Instrukcja obsługi stanowi część składową niniejszego pro-

duktu. Zawiera ona ważne wskazówki dotyczące bezpieczeństwa,

użytkowania produktu oraz usuwania produktu do odpadów. Przed

rozpoczęciem użytkowania produktu zapoznaj się ze wszystkimi wskazów-

kloszem. W takim przypadku skontaktuj się w celu wymiany z

punktem serwisowym.

NIEBEZPIECZEŃSTWO OPARZENIA SIĘ! Aby uniknąć

oparzeń upewnij się, że lampa jest wyłączona i że ochłodziła się,

zanim jej dotkniesz. Źródła światła wytwarzają bardzo silne gorąco.

Uszkodzone źródło światła wymień natychmiast na nowe. Przed

wymianą źródła światła zawsze wyciągnij wtyczkę sieciową z

gniazdka sieciowego.

Przed wymianą uszkodzonego źródła światła, pozwól żeby lampa

ochładzała się przez co najmniej 15 minut.
