The food-safe material of devices

2. Intended purpose
The Hand Blender Set Multifunction is solely
intended to chop, stir and purée food. For
each utensil, please observe the area of ap-
plication described in these instructions.
The device is designed for private, domestic
use. The device must only be used indoors.
This device must not be used for commercial
purposes.
Foreseeable misuse
WARNING! Risk of material damage!

Do not use the device for chopping par-
ticularly hard food, e.g. frozen food,
bones, nutmeg, grain, coffee beans or
spices. This device is also not intended
for processing chocolate.
3. Safety instructions
Warnings
If necessary, the following warnings will be
used in these user instructions:
DANGER! High risk: failure to ob-
serve this warning may result in inju-
ry to life and limb.
WARNING! Moderate risk: failure to ob-
serve this warning may result in injury or se-
rious material damage.

Instructions for safe operation

This device must not be used by children.
~
Children must not play with the device.
~
The device and the power cable must be kept away from children.
~
This device can be used by people with restricted physical, sensory
or intellectual abilities or people without adequate experience and/
or understanding if they are supervised or instructed on how to use
this device safely and if they are aware of the resulting hazards.
~
This device is equally intended for use in the home and in applica-
tions similar to the home, such as for example...
in kitchens for staff in shops, offices and other commercial set-
tings;
on agricultural properties;
by customers in hotels, motels and other residential facilities;
in bed-and-breakfast establishments.
~
Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket …
when it is not supervised,
before you assemble or disassemble the device, and
before you clean the device.
~
The blade assemblies are sharp. Handle them with care, particular-
ly when removing food from the containers and during cleaning.
When washing manually, the water should be sufficiently clear that
you can see the blades easily.
~
Clean all parts and surfaces that will come into contact with food be-
fore using the device for the first time (see “Cleaning” on page 15).
~
If the mains power cable of this device should become damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer
service department or a similarly qualified specialist, in order to
avoid any hazards.

The device is designed for a continuous operating time of …
no more than 2 minutes in the mode Multifunction,
no more than 2 minutes in the function Chopper,
no more than 1 minute in the function Hand blender,
no more than 1 minute in the function Masher,
no more than 2 minutes in the function Whisk.
After this, the device must remain switched off for 2 minutes.
Use the hand blender for very hard or tough food (e.g. meat) for
no longer than 30 seconds at a time.
~
Switch the device off and pull out the mains plug from the wall
socket before you exchange auxiliary or additional equipment
moving in operation.
DANGER for children
~ Children must not play with packing
material. Do not allow children to play
with plastic bags. There is a risk of suf-
focation.
~ Keep the device out of the reach of chil-
dren.
DANGER to and from pets
and livestock
~ Electrical devices can represent a haz-
ard to pets and livestock. In addition,
animals can also cause damage to the
device. For this reason you should keep
animals away from electrical devices at
all times.
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock due to moisture
~ The device must never be operated in
the vicinity of a bathtub, a shower, a
filled washbasin or similar.
~ The motor unit, the power cable and
the mains plug must not be immersed in
water or other liquids.
~ Protect the motor unit from moisture and
dripping and splashing water.
~ Should liquids enter the motor unit, pull
out the mains plug immediately. Have
the device checked before reusing.
~ Never touch the device with wet hands.
~ If the device falls into water, disconnect
the mains plug immediately. Only then
is it safe to retrieve the device.
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock
~ Only plug the mains plug into the wall
socket after the motor unit and the ac-
cessories have been assembled.
~ Only connect the mains plug to a prop-
erly installed and easily accessible wall
socket whose voltage corresponds to
the specifications on the rating plate.
The wall socket must continue to be eas-
ily accessible after the device is
plugged in.
~ Ensure that the power cable cannot be
damaged by sharp edges or hot points.
~ Even after it has been switched off, the
device has not been completely discon-
nected from the mains. In order to fully
disconnect it, pull out the mains plug.
~ When using the device, ensure that the
power cable cannot be trapped or
crushed.

~ To pull the mains plug out of the wall
socket, always pull on the mains plug,
and never on the power cable.
~ Disconnect the mains plug from the wall
socket …

during thunderstorms.

Do not use the device if there is visible
damage to the device or the power cable.
~ To avoid any risks, do not make modifi-
cations to the product.
DANGER! Risk of injury
from cutting
~ The blades of the inserts are sharp.
Please be very careful when handling
them. When washing manually, the wa-
ter should be sufficiently clear that you
can see the blades easily.
~
Never reach into rotating blades. Do not
touch rotating parts with spoons or simi-
lar utensils. Keep long hair or loose cloth-
ing away from rotating parts as well.
~ The blade assemblies continue to rotate
after the device is switched off. Wait
until the blade assembly has come to a
standstill before you take the hand
blender out of the food or remove the
lid of the container.
WARNING! Risk of material
damage
~ The device is designed for a maximum
operating time of 2 minutes without in-
terruption (see “Operating time” on
page 10).
~ In order to prevent damage to the de-
vice, interrupt the blending process im-
mediately if an insert is either turning
with difficulty or not turning at all. Pull
out the mains plug and check whether
there is something in the container
blocking movement or whether the food
is too tough. Also check whether the de-
vice is assembled correctly.
~ To prevent a blocking of the blade as-
semblies, fill …

5. Assembly
Remove all packing material.
Check to ensure that all parts are pres-
ent and undamaged.
Clean the device prior to its first
use (see “Cleaning” on page 15)!
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
~ Only plug the mains plug|3 into the wall
socket after the motor unit|1 and the ac-
cessories have been assembled.
5.1 Hand blender
Figure A: place the motor unit|1 on
the hand blender|24 and press the
parts together. The motor unit|1 must
engage audibly.
5.2 Whisk
1. Figure B: align the “blades” of the
whisk|6 such that they fit into the cross-
shaped holder of the whisk adapter|5.
Put the whisk|6 into the whisk adapt-
er|5 until it engages audibly.
2. Figure A: place the motor unit|1 on
the whisk adapter|5 and press the parts
together. The motor unit|1 must engage
audibly.
5.3 Masher
1. Figure A: place the motor unit|1 on
the masher|23 and press the parts to-
gether. The motor unit|1 must engage
audibly.
2. Figure C: turn the masher|23 around.
Screw the masher attachment|22 anti-
clockwise on the masher. Please follow
the symbols and
at masher attach-
ment|22.
NOTE: motor unit|1 and masher|23 must
be assembled so that the masher attach-
ment|22 can be firmly tightened and re-
moved again for cleaning after use.
5.4 Chopper
1. Figure D: place the blade assem-
bly|27 vertically on the peg|25 in the
container|26.
2. Fill the chopper container with the pre-
pared food to no more than the mark-
ing max (approx. 500 ml / for liquids
no more than 300 ml).
3. Figure D: place the drive cover|28 on
the container|26. Align the drive cov-
er|28 so that its locks|29 point to the
guides|30 at the container. Turn the
drive cover|28 clockwise until it engag-
es audibly.
4. Figure A: place the motor unit|1 on
the drive cover|28 and press it down.
The motor unit|1 must engage audibly.

6.1 Operating time
For the five application areas we recom-
mend the following operating times:
- Multifunction up to 2 minutes contin-
uously, then a 2-minute break
- Chopper up to 2 minutes continuously,
then a 2-minute break
- Hand blender up to 1 minute contin-
uously, then a 2-minute break
- Masher up to 1 minute continuously,
then a 2-minute break
- Whisk up to 2 minutes continuously,
then a 2-minute break
6.2 Switching on/off and
speeds
Press the controller|2 to switch the de-
vice on.
The speed increases with the intensity
the controller is pressed. Keep the con-
troller|2 pressed to work in the set
speed.
Release the controller|2 to switch the
device off.
6.3 Hand blender
Application area:
The hand blender|24 is ideal for puréeing
cooked fruit and vegetables and for mixing
drinks, soups, sauces, etc. and for making
milkshakes.
Do not use the hand blender|
24
for especial-
ly hard food such as ice cubes or for nuts.
NOTE: adapt the rotation speed to suit the
food to be blended. Select normal speed for
soft foods to and for harder food
the highest speed .
1. Cut the cooked fruit and vegetables into
small pieces.
2. Put the food into the measuring beak-
er|21 or another suitable container.
3. Place the motor unit|1 on the hand
blender|24 until it engages.
4. Immerse the hand blender into the food
to be pureed/blended.
5. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall
socket.
6. Press the controller|2 to switch the de-
vice on. The speed increases with the
intensity the controller is pressed.
7. Move the hand blender|24 up and
down a bit in the food, to ensure that it
is blended evenly.
8. When you are finished, let go of the
controller|2.
9. After the mixing process, wait until the
blade comes to a standstill. Pull out the
mains plug|3 and remove the hand
blender|24 from the food.
10. Clean the device immediately if possible.
NOTE: if the hand blender|24 builds up a
suction and adheres to the bottom of the con-
tainer, let go of the controller|2 briefly.

6.4 Whisk
Application area:
The whisk is suitable for beating whipped
cream (max. 300 ml), egg whites (max. 4)
and food of a similarly light consistency.
1. Put the cream, egg whites or similar
into the measuring beaker|21 or anoth-
er suitable container.
2. Immerse the whisk|6 into the cream or
similar.
3. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall
socket.
4. Press the controller|2 to switch the de-
vice on and release it to switch off.
5. After whipping remove the mains plug|
3
and take the whisk|

out of the food.
6. Remove the whisk|6 from the whisk
adapter|5.
7. Clean the device immediately if possible.
6.5 Masher
Application area:
The masher|23 is suited to mash cooked
fruit or vegetables such as apples, plums,
potatoes or sweet potatoes.
1. Fill food into a suitable container.
2. Place the motor unit|1 on the mash-
er|23 until it engages.
3. Immerse the masher|23 into the food to
be pureed/blended.
4. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall
socket.
5. Press the controller|2 to switch the de-
vice on. The speed increases with the
intensity the controller is pressed.
6. Move the hand masher|23 up and
down a bit in the food, to ensure that it
is blended evenly.
7. When you are finished, let go of the
controller|2.
8. After the mixing process, wait until the
blade comes to a standstill. Pull out the
mains plug|3 and take the masher|23
out of the food.
9. Clean the device immediately if possible.
6.6 Chopper
Application area:
The chopper is ideal for chopping meat, Par-
mesan, vegetables, fruit, nuts and herbs.
Preparing food:
Rinse or wash the food.
Cut the food up into smaller pieces.
Remove the outer shell from nuts. You
may use the inner skin if you wish, e.g.
with almonds.
Use fresh herbs without stems and in a
dry condition.
Remove sinews, bones and gristle from
the meat.
1. Fill the food into the container|26 with
blade assembly|27 and close it with
the drive cover|28.
2. Place the motor unit|1 onto the drive
cover|28 until it engages.
3. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall
socket.
4. Press the controller|2 to switch the de-
vice on and release it to switch off.
5. After chopping remove the mains
plug|3 and remove the motor unit|1
from the drive cover|28.
6. Loosen the drive cover|
28
by turning it an-
ticlockwise.
7. Clean the device immediately if possible.

multifunction accessories
Preparing food:
Rinse or wash the food.
Cut the food up into smaller pieces.
Remove the outer shell from nuts. You
may use the inner skin if you wish, e.g.
with almonds.
Use fresh herbs without stems and in a
dry condition.
Remove sinews, bones and gristle from
the meat.
Blade assembly
The blade assembly|14 is ideal for chop-
ping meat, Parmesan, vegetables, fruit, nuts
and herbs.
1. Fill the food into the container|15 and
close it with the drive cover|8.
2. Place the motor unit|1 onto the drive
cover|8 until it engages.
3. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall
socket.
4. Press the controller|2 to switch the de-
vice on and release it to switch off.
5. After chopping remove the mains
plug|3 and remove the motor unit|1
from the drive cover|8.
6. Figure H: press the button|16 and
turn the drive cover|8 anticlockwise to
open the container|15. Lift the drive
cover|8 off, when the marking |31 at
the handle|17 points to the attachment
marking |32.
7. Clean the device immediately if possible.
Slicing insert and grating disk /
dicer attachment
The slicing insert/grating disk|20 is used to
cut or grate raw fruit and vegetables such as
cucumbers, onions, mushrooms, apples, car-
rots, radishes, potatoes, courgette and cab-
bage.
The dicer, consisting of the blade assem-
bly|11 and disk insert|12, is suited to dice
raw fruit and vegetables such as onions, ap-
ples, carrots, potatoes and courgette.
1. Close the container|15 with the drive
cover|8 (see “Multifunction drive cover
on page 9).
2. Place the motor unit|1 onto the drive
cover|8 until it engages.
3. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall
socket.
4. Press the controller|2 to switch the de-
vice on.
5. Fill food into the refill opening|9. If nec-
essary, use the food pusher|7 to careful-
ly push the food down.
6. When you are finished, let go of the
controller|2.
7. After cutting, grating or dicing pull out the
mains plug|

and remove the motor unit|

Clean the device prior to its first use!

~ Pull the mains plug|3 out of the wall
socket before you clean the device.
~ The motor unit|1, the power cable and
the mains plug|3 must not be immersed
in water or other liquids.
DANGER! Risk of injury from
cutting!
~ When washing manually, the water
should be sufficiently clear that you can
see the blades of the attachments|11 /
|14 /|20 /|27 easily.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
~ Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
NOTE: motor unit|1 and masher|23 must
be assembled so that the masher attach-
ment|22 can be removed for cleaning.
Wiping off
Wipe off the motor unit|1 and the drive cov-
er|8 with a slightly damp cloth.
Dishwasher / Washing off
All parts (except for the motor unit|1,
the whisk adapter|5, the masher|23,
the hand blender|24, the drive cover of
the chopper|28 and the multifunction
drive cover|8) may be cleaned in the
dishwasher.
The whisk adapter|5, the masher|23,
the hand blender|24 and the drive cov-
er of the chopper|28 may be washed
by hand in warm water with detergent.
Afterwards, rinse the parts with clean
water.
Dry all parts carefully, before reassem-
bling the device and storing it.
Some cleaning tips
Preferably clean the accessories imme-
diately after use, to prevent food resi-
dues from drying.
After processing very salty food, you
should rinse the accessories immediately.
8. Storage
DANGER for children!
~ Keep the device out of the reach of chil-
dren.
DANGER!
In order to avoid accidents, the
mains plug
|

must never be connected to a
wall socket while in storage.
Select a location where neither high
temperatures nor moisture can affect the
device.
Food must not be stored in the contain-
ers|15 /|26 for more than 24 hours.
This also applies to storage in the refrig-
erator.

9. Recipes
Vegetable-cream soup
2 - 4 persons
Ingredients
- 2 - 3 tbs oil
- 200 g onions
- 200 g potatoes (especially suited are
floury varieties)
- 200 g carrots
- 350 - 400 ml vegetable broth (fresh or
instant)
- Salt, pepper, nutmeg
- 5 g parsley
Preparation
1. Peel and finely dice the onions. Wash,
peel and cut carrots in slices. Peel,
wash and cut potatoes in dices approx.
2 cm in size.
2. Heat oil in a pot, stew onions until
glazed. Add carrots and potatoes and
continue to stew. Add so much broth

and let everything cook for 10-15 min-
utes until soft. As required, add broth to
keep the vegetables covered.

stalks. Tear parsley in large pieces for
the soup. Blend everything with the
hand blender|24 for approx. 1 minute.
Season to taste with salt, pepper and
ground nutmeg.
Pumpkin soup

Ingredients
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 10 - 20 g fresh ginger
- 3 tbs rapeseed oil
- 400 g pumpkin flesh (best suited is
Hokkaido pumpkin, since its skin sof-
tens when cooked, and it does not need
to be peeled)
- 250 - 300 ml coconut milk
- 250 - 500 ml vegetable broth
-Juice from ½ orange
- some dry white wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt, pepper
Preparation
1. Peel and dice the onion as well as the gar-
lic. Peel and dice ginger. First, stew onion
and ginger in hot oil. After 2 minutes add
garlic and continue to stew.
2. Clean the pumpkin thoroughly under
warm water using a vegetable brush,
then cut into 2-3 cm large dices. (If a
type of pumpkin other than the Hokkai-
do pumpkin is used, it must be peeled).
3. Add pumpkin dices to onion and ginger
and continue to stew. Fill up with half of
the coconut milk and vegetable broth to
cover the pumpkin well. Cook with the
lid closed for approx. 20-25|minutes un-
til soft.
4. Blend everything with the hand blend-
er|24. Add enough coconut milk until
the soup has the proper fine and
creamy consistency.
5. Season the soup to taste with orange
juice, white wine, sugar, salt and pep-
per, so the soup will not only be hot but
also sweet with a balanced sourish and
saltish taste.

Sweet fruit spread
Ingredients
- 250 g strawberries or other fruit (fresh
or frozen)
- 1 small bag (approx. 125 g) of instant
gelling sugar
- 1 squirt of lemon juice
- 1 pinch of pulp of a vanilla pod
Preparation
1. Wash and clean strawberries, remove
the green stem base.
2. Place in a sieve and let drip well, so
that all excess water will drain and the
spread will not be too liquid. Cut larger
strawberries into small pieces.
3. Weigh 250 g of strawberries and put
in a suitable mixing bowl.
4. Squirt with lemon juice once.
5. When required, scrape out and add the
pulp of a vanilla pod.
6. Add the contents of the small package
of instant gelling sugar and mix thor-
oughly with the hand blender|24 for
45-60 seconds. Should larger pieces
still exist, leave everything for 1 minute
and then blend again for 60 seconds.
7. Enjoy immediately or fill the fruit spread
into a jar with a screw lid and close.
Chocolate cream

Ingredients
- 350 g whipped cream
- 200 g dark chocolate (> 60% cocoa
content)
- ½ vanilla pod (pulp)
Preparation
1.
Let the
cream
come to a boil, crumble
chocolate
and melt in the cream at low
heat. Scrape out the pulp from half a
vanilla pod and stir into the mixture.
2. Allow to cool and go solid in the refrig-
erator.
3. Just before serving, stir up creamily with
the whisk|6. Tip: fresh fruit tastes great
with it.
Mayonnaise
Ingredients
- 200 ml neutral vegetable oil,
such as rapeseed oil
- 1 egg (egg yolk and egg white)
- 10 g mild vinegar or lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
