With quaterwave two-way antennas, the radio set itself also radiates and is sensitive to
both
touch and changes in the way it is held. The K 51 56 2 antenna, which is largely decoupled
from the radio, can improve this situation. In actual service with portables, this antenna
provides an improvement of approx. 5 dB, and thus a significantly greater range.

K 51 56 22 as an extra lightweight, omnidirectional antenna
for the mobile use.
With the following accessories, the K 51 56 22 antenna (with UHF connector)
is suitable for mast installation or for mounting on non-conducting surfaces or
metallic surfaces. In the case of the both installation modes, the antenna gain
is 0 dB (ref. to the half wave dipole).
