1 Zu diesem Dokument
Dieses Dokument gilt für den MB1, dessen Ausführungen (BS, BL, BT) und Varian-
ten (00, 10, 11). Beachten Sie die zugrundeliegende Betriebsanleitung des MB1.
Sie nden die aktuelle Betriebsanleitung, indem Sie auf www.sick.com im Such-
feld die Artikelnummer eingeben (Artikelnummer: siehe Typenschildeintrag im
Feld „Ident. no.“).
Folgende Sensoren können an den MB1 montiert werden:
• Sicherheitsschalter RE1 und STR1,
• Sicherheitszuhaltung i10 Lock, i110 Lock, TR10 Lock, TR110 Lock.
2 Montage
Voraussetzungen:
• Der MB1 muss von einer dafür qualizierten Person gemäß den Anforderun-
gen der Maschine korrekt projektiert sein.
• Bei der Projektierung müssen auch die Anforderungen der Sensoren berück-
sichtigt werden.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Montage von einer dafür qualizierten Person vorge-
nommen wird.
2.1 Lieferumfang
Die Türriegeleinheit gibt es in folgenden Varianten:
• MB1-Bx00: Türriegeleinheit, optional mit Riegelöse (1)
• MB1-Bx10: Türriegeleinheit mit Entsperrknopf (3) und klappbare Sperre (2)
• MB1-Bx11: Türriegeleinheit mit Entsperrknopf (3), klappbare Sperre (2) und
Fluchtentriegelung (4)

2.5 Optionale Fluchtentriegelung montieren
Voraussetzung:
• Das Langloch für die Fluchtentriegelung ist vorhanden.
ca. 10 mm
1. Fluchtentriegelung auf die Schraubbefestigung montieren.
Die Schraubbefestigung steht ca. 10 mm über.
2. Empfehlung: Verschraubung mit Sicherungslack sichern.
3. Korrekte Funktion der Fluchtentriegelung prüfen und sicherstellen.
2.6 Rahmenplatte montieren
VORSICHT
Überstehende Bauteile
Überstehende Bauteile können zu Verletzungen führen.
• Rahmenplatte so montieren, dass durch die Rahmenplatte kein Verlet-
zungsrisiko entsteht.
Die Rahmenplatten BS und BL sind so konstruiert, dass an 40-mm-Rahmenprole
beidseitig bündig montiert werden kann.
Bei der Rahmenplatte BT sind zwei Aufnahmebohrungen paarweise versetzt ange-
ordnet, für Türanschlag rechts oder links. Die Rahmenplatte (45 mm breit) kann
so bündig an einem 40-mm-Rahmenprol montiert werden.
Zur Türseite hin müssen überstehende Bauteile oder scharfe Kanten vermieden
werden.

2.7.1 MB1-BS
1. Länge der Schrauben entsprechend der Materialstärken von Rahmenplatte
und Sicherheitssschalter wählen.
• STR1: M4 x 18-20
• RE1: M4 x 12-15
2. Sicherheitsschalter an Rahmenplatte montieren.
2.7.2 MB1-BL
1. Länge der Schrauben entsprechend der Materialstärken von Rahmenplatte
und Sicherheitssschalter bzw. von Rahmenplatte und Sicherheitszuhaltung
wählen.
• STR1: M4 x 18-20
• RE1: M4 x 12-15
• i10, i110, TR110 Lock: M5 x 36-40

2.7.3 MB1-BT

2. Sicherheitszuhaltung an Rahmenplatte montieren.
3 Prüfungen
• Sicherstellen, dass der Sensor und der Betätiger korrekt ausgerichtet sind.
• Sicherstellen, dass der MB1 mechanisch korrekt funktioniert.
• Sicherstellen, dass alle Schraubverbindungen sicher und fest sind.
• Empfehlung: Schraubverbindungen mindestens an einer Stelle gegen Mani-
pulation wie z. B. durch Sicherungslack sichern.

1 About this document
This document applies to versions BS, BL, and BT and variants 00, 10, and 11 of
the MB1. Please observe the basic operating instructions for the MB1.
You can nd the latest operating instructions by entering the part number in the
search eld at www.sick.com (for the part number, see the type label entry in the
“Ident. no.” eld).
The following sensors can be mounted on the MB1:
• RE1 and STR1 safety switches
• i10 Lock, i110 Lock, TR10 Lock, and TR110 Lock safety locking devices
2 Mounting
Prerequisites:
• The MB1 must be correctly set up in line with the requirements of the
machine by a person who is qualied to do so.
• The requirements of the sensors must also be taken into account during
setup.
Make sure that mounting is performed by a person who is qualied to do so.
2.1 Scope of delivery
The bolt unit is available in the following variants:
• MB1-Bx00: bolt unit with option of tongue padlock receptacle (1)
• MB1-Bx10: bolt unit with catch release button (3) and mechanical lock with
padlock receptacle (2)
• MB1-Bx11: bolt unit with catch release button (3), mechanical lock with
padlock receptacle (2), and escape release (4)

2.3 Mounting the actuator
2.3.1 MB1-BS
1. Mount the L adapter on the sliding carriage using a screw.
2. Mount the actuator on the L adapter using 2 screws.
2.3.2 MB1-BL
1. Mount the L adapter on the sliding carriage using a screw.
2. Mount the actuator on the L adapter using 2 screws.

2.3.3 MB1-BT
1. Remove the actuator.
2. Mount the actuator on the xing plate.
3. Mount the adapter and the actuator using 2 screws.
2.4 Mounting the bolt unit
1. Open the bolt.
l The holes in the base plate are accessible.
2. Mount the bolt unit on the door using 2 screws.
2.5 Mounting the optional escape release
Prerequisite:
• The slot for the escape release is present.
ca. 10 mm
1. Mount the escape release on the xed screw.
The xed screw protrudes by around 10 mm.
2. Recommendation: Secure the screw connection using locking varnish.
3. Verify that the escape release is working correctly.
2.6 Mounting the frame plate
CAUTION
Protruding components
Protruding components can lead to injuries.
• Mount the frame plate in a way that prevents it from creating the risk
of injury.
The BS and BL frame plates are designed in a way that allows them to be
ush-mounted at both sides on 40 mm frame proles.
In the case of the BT frame plate, there are two location holes in an oset position
to accommodate door hinges on the right or left. This allows the frame plate
(which measures 45 mm wide) to be ush-mounted on a 40 mm frame prole.
Protruding components and sharp edges must be avoided at the side of the door.

head screws (not included with delivery).

2.7 Mounting the safety switch and/or safety locking device
2.7.1 MB1-BS
1. Select a screw length that is suitable for the material thicknesses of the
frame plate and safety switch.
• STR1: M4 x 18–20
• RE1: M4 x 12–15
2. Mount the safety switch on the frame plate.
2.7.2 MB1-BL
1. Select a screw length that is suitable for the material thicknesses of the
frame plate and safety switch or the frame plate and safety locking device.
• STR1: M4 x 18–20
• RE1: M4 x 12–15
• i10, i110, TR110 Lock: M5 x 36–40
2. Mount the safety switch on the frame plate.
3. Mount the safety locking device on the frame plate.
2.7.3 MB1-BT
1. Select a screw length that is suitable for the material thicknesses of the
frame plate and safety locking device.
• TR10 Lock: M5 x 14–18
2. Mount the safety locking device on the frame plate.
3 Checks
• Verify that the sensor and the actuator are correctly aligned.
• Verify that the MB1’s mechanical function is working properly.
• Verify that all the screw connections are secure and tight.
• Recommendation: Secure at least one point of the screw connections to
prevent manipulation; for example, using locking varnish.
