Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Targus USB 2.0
4-Port Hub with Swivel Port. This hub allows you to add
up to a maximum of 127 (through daisy chaining) high
performance USB 2.0 peripheral devices to your
computer. This Wireless-optimized hub features a 180°
rotating port that enables you to easily connect any USB
adapter and for maximum RF performance.

Connecting the Hub
1 Using the supplied Y-cable, connect the USB type A
connector to a USB port on your computer. The
second type T-connector does not need to be used
unless you are using a high-power USB device. The T-
connector has a USB pass-through for use with low
power USB devices.
2 Connect the Y-cable's USB type B connector into the
hub and turn on your computer.
3 Your computer's operating system automatically
detects the new hardware and begins installing the
appropriate default drivers. Follow any on-screen
instructions to complete the driver installation.

WHEN CONNECTED TO A USB VERSION 1.1 PORT ON YOUR COMPUTER, THE
HUB'S PERFORMANCE LEVEL WILL BE LESS THAN OPTIMAL.
Over-Current Status
Each USB port is protected. When there is excessive
power draw from a device, the over-current protection will
disconnect power from the related port and the green
LED goes off.
If there is a pop-up window, "USB Hub Current Limit
Exceeded", please click Reset to resume work or you can
reset the hub by unplugging the USB cable and plugging
it back in.

Den Hub anschliessen
1 Den USB-Stecker vom Typ A mit dem mitgelieferten Y-
Kabel an einen USB-Anschluss an Ihrem Computer
anschliessen. Der zweite Stecker vom Typ T braucht
nur verwendet zu werden, wenn Sie ein
leistungsstarkes USB-Gerät verwenden. Der T-
Stecker besitzt einen USB-Durchgang für den Einsatz
mit leistungsschwachen USB-Geräten.
2 Den USB-Stecker vom Typ B des Y-Kabels an den
Hub anschliessen und den Computer einschalten.
3 Das Computerbetriebssystem erkennt die neue
Hardware automatisch und beginnt mit der Installation
der geeigneten Standardtreiber. Die eingeblendeten

Überspannungsschutz
Jede USB-Buchse ist geschützt. Wenn ein Gerät zu viel
Strom zieht, wird der Überspannungsschutz den Strom
von der zugehörigen Buchse abschalten, und die grüne
LED-Leuchte geht an.
Wenn ein Pop-up-Fenster mit der Meldung "USB Hub
Stromgrenze überschritten" erscheint, klicken Sie Reset,
um mit der Arbeit fortzufahren, oder Sie können den Hub
auf Null zurücksetzen, indem Sie das USB-Kabel zuerst
ziehen und dann wieder anschliessen.

Cómo conectar el
replicador
1 Use el cable en Y suministrado y enchufe el conector
de tipo A del cable USB a un puerto USB de su
ordenador. No es necesario usar el segundo conector
de tipo T a menos que utilice un dispositivo USB de
gran consumo eléctrico. El conector en T tiene un
bucle USB que se emplea para dispositivos USB de
poco consumo eléctrico.
2 Enchufe el conector USB de tipo B del cable en Y el
replicador y encienda su ordenador.
3 El sistema operativo de su ordenador detecta
automáticamente el equipo nuevo y comienza a
instalar el driver predeterminado correcto. Siga todos
los procedimientos que aparezcan en pantalla para
completar la instalación del driver.

Protección contra la sobretensión
• Cada puerto USB está protegido. Cuando un
dispositivo toma demasiado suministro eléctrico, la
protección contra la sobretensión interrumpe el
suministro eléctrico al puerto correspondiente y se
enciende un diodo electroluminiscente (LED) de color
verde.
• Si aparece una ventana que indica "Se ha superado el
límite de corriente del replicador USB" (USB Hub
Current Limit Exceeded), pulse el botón Restablecer
(Reset) para continuar usando el ordenador, o bien
reestablezca el replicador desconectando el cable USB
y volviéndolo a conectar.
