What is SICK AppEngine?
The software product SICK AppEngine integrates devices such as industrial PCs or controls into the SICK
AppSpace eco-system and makes them programmable. SICK AppEngine therefore extends the portfolio of
programmable devices on which SICK AppSpace can be used. Using the eco-system, sensor applications are
implemented efficiently based on individual SensorApps and run on the SICK AppEngine, regardless of the
area of application and sensor technology. The SICK AppEngine contains a collection of powerful software
libraries for this purpose and provides application developers with countless functions using a uniform API
structure. Sensor and data applications can be quickly and cost-effectively solved using these functions.
The software product SICK AppEngine includes a runtime license for installation and operation of the software
on a supported host device.

Contract and license terms
The General Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Software Products (AVB Software SICK) apply, in the
respective current version, available for download at www.sick.com.
License type
The software is provided under a device license. The license is valid for the version of SICK AppEngine you
have purchased and activated. Upgrades are not included.
Prices
The agreed prices apply. In case no prices are agreed, the prices set out in the quotation apply.

Software maintenance
Functional updates are provided by SICK at irregular intervals via supportportal.sick.com for the supported
devices. Updates for the licensed version are provided free of charge. SICK reserves the right to provide major
version-spanning updates, also called upgrades, for a fee.

Was ist SICK AppEngine?
Das Softwareprodukt SICK AppEngine bindet Geräte, wie Industrie-PCs oder Computer, in das Eco-System SICK
AppSpace ein und macht diese programmierbar. Damit erweitert die SICK AppEngine das Portfolio an
programmierbaren Geräten, auf denen sich SICK AppSpace nutzen lässt. Mithilfe des Eco-Systems werden
Sensorapplikationen auf Basis individueller SensorApps effizient umgesetzt und auf der SICK AppEngine
ausgeführt, unabhängig von Anwendungsgebiet und Sensortechnologie. Die SICK AppEngine enthält hierzu
eine Sammlung von leistungsfähigen Softwarebibliotheken und stellt Applikationsentwicklern über eine
einheitliche API-Struktur zahlreiche Funktionen zur Verfügung. Mit diesen Funktionen lassen sich Sensor- und
Datenapplikationen schnell und kostengünstig lösen.
Das Softwareprodukt SICK AppEngine beinhaltet die Runtime-Lizenz für die Installation von SICK AppEngine
auf einem unterstützten Endgerät und ermöglicht damit die Ausführung von im Eco-System SICK AppSpace
entwickelten Apps.

Es gelten die Allgemeinen Vertragsbedingungen für die Überlassung von Softwareprodukten (AVB Software
SICK) in der jeweils geltenden Fassung, abrufbar unter www.sick.com.
Lizenztyp
Die Bereitstellung und Nutzung von SICK AppEngine erfolgt in Form einer Gerätelizenz.
Die Lizenz ist gültig für die von Ihnen erworbene und aktivierte Version der SICK AppEngine. Upgrades sind
nicht enthalten.
Preise
Es gelten die vereinbarten Preise. Sind keine Preise vereinbart, gelten die im Angebot genannten Preise.

Die vorstehend eingeräumten Nutzungsrechte sind zeitlich unbeschränkt.
Softwarepflege
Funktionale Updates werden von SICK in unregelmäßigen Abständen über supportportal.sick.com für die
unterstützten Endgeräte zur Verfügung gestellt. Updates für die lizenzierte Version werden kostenfrei zur
Verfügung gestellt. SICK behält sich vor, größere versionsübergreifende Updates, auch Upgrades genannt,
entgeltlich bereit zu stellen.
