Fit the fastening

bracket

• Fit two fastening brackets to each MPX

PRC power rail chassis either to the side

horizontal sections A1 for rack height

2000 mm) or to a vertical section A2 (for

rack height 2200 mm).

• A1: Use L-shaped brackets for Knürr racks

and Z-shaped brackets for racks from

other manufacturers.

• Netzverbindung erst dann herstellen,

module has been connected to the

mains, the contacts on the underside

are live with hazardous voltage!

• It is imperative that you read the

• Do not make the mains connection

until all the modules (MPX PEM and

safely installed on the MPX PRC power

• Only connect one power entry module

• First press the fastening screw down and

then lock it finger-tight by turning to the

right (max. 2Nm!):

F1 PEM with TR20, F2 BRM with Phillips

PZ1.

• Appuyez d'abord sur la vis de serrage,

puis serrez-la à la main en tournant vers la

droite (max. 2 Nm !) :

F1 PEM avec TR20, F2 BRM avec cruci-

forme PZ1.

• Befestigungsschraube zuerst nach unten

drücken und dann durch Rechtsdrehung

handfest verriegeln (max. 2Nm!):

F1 PEM mit TR20, F2 BRM mit Kreuz-

schlitz PZ1.

• Position module E and press it securely

on to the MPX PRC power rail chassis.

• Mettre en place le module E, puis l’en-

foncer correctement sur le châssis de rail

d’alimentation MPX PRC.

• Modul aufsetzen E und sicher auf das

Stromschienengehäuse MPX PRC auf-

drücken.

Hinweis

Module auf die Schiene so aufsetzen, so

daß die Flanken seitlich die Schiene um-

schliessen. Module müssen vollständig

auf der Stromschiene aufliegen.

Position modules onto the rail so that

the flanks surround the rail on the sides.

Modules must fully lie on the power rail.

manière à ce que les flancs entourent le

Loosen system modules

• Loosen the fastening screw F1/F2 by turn-

ing it to the left.

2.5 Systemmodule lösen

drehung lösen.

nach oben gedrückt wird.

pushed up by a spring.

1. Check all parts for visible damage (ship-

ping damage) before assembly. Use only

parts which are free from any defects.

2. Power rail chassis MPX PRC must be

firmly and securely installed in the rack.

3. All modules (MPX PEM and MPX BRMs)

must be firmly attached to the power rail

chassis.

1. Vérifiez toutes les pièces et assurez-vous

qu'elles n'ont pas été endommagées

(lors du transport) avant de commencer

le montage. N'utilisez que des pièces

exemptes de tout défaut.

2. Le châssis du rail d'alimentation MPX PRC

3. Tous les modules (MPX PEM et MPX BRM)

4. Make sure that all circuit breakers on

the MPX BRMs are switched off (delivery

condition).

5. Observe the rating label of the power

entry module, specified values must not

be exceeded.

6. Connect the MPX to the mains.

7. Check the phase power indicators on

the MPX PEM power entry module.

Depending on the power supply system,

L1 (for 1-phase feed) or L1, L2 and L3 (for

3-phase feed) must shine.

8. Observe the rating labels of the respec-

tive output modules, connected equip-

ment must not exceed the maximum

load.

9. Plug the equipment into the MPX.

10. Make sure that the equipment you are

connecting to the BRMs is switched off.

11. Switch on the circuit breakers of the

MPX BRMs.

4. Assurez-vous que tous les disjoncteurs

des MPX BRM sont ouverts (état à la

5. Assurez-vous de ne pas dépasser les

valeurs nominales spécifiées sur l'éti-

quette figurant sur le module d'entrée de

l'alimentation.

6. Connectez le MPX au secteur.

7. Vérifiez les indicateurs de phase sur le

module d'entrée de l'alimentation du

MPX PEM. Selon le système d'alimenta-

tion, les voyants L1 (alimentation mono-

phasée) ou L1, L2 et L3 (alimentation

triphasée) doivent être allumés.

8. Respectez les caractéristiques nominales

figurant sur les étiquettes des diffé-

rents modules de sortie, l'équipement

connecté ne doit pas excéder la charge

maximale.

9. Branchez l'équipement sur le MPX.

10. Assurez-vous que l'équipement que

vous connectez aux BRM est bien hors

tension.

11. Mettez en service les disjoncteurs des

MPX BRM.

Ausgangsmodule beachten, angeschlos-

sene Geräte dürfen die max. Last nicht

überschreiten.

9. Stecken Sie die Geräte an die MPX an.

10. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Geräte, die

Sie an die BRMs anschließen, ausge-

schaltet sind.

11. Schalten Sie die Leistungsschalter der

MPX BRMs ein.

12. Check the behavior of the 7-segment

display after initialization of the modu-

les (not with BRM Elementary). Each

module must display a different num-

ber. No point must appear next to the

number. The number must be displayed

"constantly" (no flashing or rotation).

13. The connected equipment can now be

switched on one after another.

14. Check the system status in the software

– a white checkmark (4) on a green

background must be displayed (G1).

If a large white X on a red background

or a notepad appears in the upper

left corner (Fig. H), acknowledge the

module change(s) as described in

the manual “RPC2™ Communications

Module” (par. 4.8.3). Additionally check

the input voltage (G2).

12. Vérifiez le comportement de l'afficheur

7 segments après l'initialisation des

modules (sauf avec BRM Elementary).

Chaque module doit afficher un nombre

différent. Aucun point ne doit figurer

à côté de ce nombre. Ce nombre doit

être affiché de manière continue (pas de

clignotement ni de rotation).

13. Les appareils connectés peuvent main-

tenant être mis sous tension l'un après

l'autre.

14. Vérifiez l'état du système dans le

logiciel – une coche blanche (4) doit

être affichée sur un fond vert (G1).

Si un grand X blanc apparaît sur un

fond rouge ou si un bloc-notes est

affiché dans le coin supérieur gauche

(image H), confirmez le changement de

module comme décrit dans le manuel

« Module de communication RPC2™ »

(paragraphe 4.8.3). Vérifiez également

la tension d'entrée (G2).

werden (G1). Falls ein großer weißer X

auf einem roten Hintergrund oder

ein Notizblock in der oberen linken

Ecke erscheint (Bild H), Modulwechsel

bestätigen wie im Manual „RPC2™

Kommunikationsmodul“ (Absatz 4.8.3)

beschrieben. Zusätzlich die

Eingangsspannung (G2) prüfen.

Der LAN Port ist im Auslieferzustand auf

DHCP konfiguriert. Ist kein DHCP-Server

angeschlossen, so hat der LAN Port keine

IP-Adresse. Die nachfolgende Beschreibung

zeigt die Konfiguration einer festen IP-Adresse.

• Laptop oder Rechner über Standard-

Ethernetkabel mit dem Expansion/

Management Port verbinden.

The LAN port is configured to DHCP on

delivery. If no DHCP server is connected,

the LAN port will not have an IP address.

The following description shows how to

configure a fixed IP address.

• Connect your laptop or desktop compu-

ter via standard ethernet cable with the

expansion/management port.

A la livraison, le port LAN est configuré

par défaut sur DHCP. S’il n’y a pas de

serveur DHCP raccordé, le port LAN n’a pas

d’adres se IP. La description suivante montre

la configuration d’une adresse IP fixe.

• Raccorder l’ordinateur portable ou de

• Die Standardeinstellung für „Speed/

Duplex“ (Geschwindigkeit/Duplex) für

den Ethernet-Anschluss ist „Auto 1000

Mbs/Full Duplex“ (automatisch). Um dies

zu ändern, im Drop-Down-Menü „Speed/

Duplex“ (Geschwindigkeit/Duplex)

wählen.

• IPv4-Boot-Modus wählen: „Static“

(Statisch) oder „DHCP“ (die

Standardeinstellung ist „DHCP“).

Bei Auswahl der Einstelllung „Static“:

IP-Adresse, Subnetzmaske und Stan dard-

gateway des LAN Ports eingeben.

• Oben mit Klick auf Schaltfläche „Save“

(Speichern) alle Änderungen speichern

oder mit Klick auf Schaltfläche „Cancel“

(Zurücksetzen) abbrechen.

• Um die Konfiguration abzuschließen, auf

Schaltfläche „Reboot“ (Neustart)

auf Seite „System  Settings“ klicken.

• The default setting for “Speed/Duplex”

for the Ethernet port is “Auto 1000 Mbs/

Full Duplex” (automatic). To change this,

choose from the “Speed/Duplex” drop-

down list.

• Choose the IPV4 Boot Mode: “Static" or

“DHCP” (the default setting is “DHCP”).

If you select “Static”: Enter the IP address,

subnet mask and default gateway of the

LAN port.

• Click the “Save” icon above to save

all your changes or click the “Cancel”

icon to cancel the changes.

• To complete the configuration, click

the “Reboot” icon in “System 

Settings”.

• Le paramétrage standard de «Speed/

Duplex» (vitesse/duplex) pour le raccor-

dement Ethernet est «Auto 1000 Mbs/Full

Duplex» (automatique). Pour le modifier,

sélectionner «Speed/Duplex» (vitesse/

duplex) dans le menu déroulant.

• Sélectionner le mode de démarrage IPV4:

métrage standard est «DHCP»). En cas de

sélection du paramétrage «Static»: saisir

l’adresse IP, le masque de sous-réseau et la

passerelle standard du port LAN.

• Enregistrez toutes les modifications en cli-

quant sur le bouton «Save» (Enregistrer)

ci-dessus ou annulez en cliquant sur le

bouton «Cancel» (Réinitialiser) .

• Pour terminer la configuration, cliquez

sur le bouton «Reboot» (Redémarrer)

dans «System  Settings» (Système 

Paramètres).
