Zusätzlich benötigt wird eine Gaskartusche
vom Typ MSF-1A (siehe Kapitel „Technische
Daten“).
Den Lieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit und die
Bestandteile auf Transportschäden überprü-
fen. Bei Schäden nicht verwenden, sondern
den Kundenservice kontaktieren.
Eventuelle Folien, Aufkleber oder Transport-
schutz vom Gerät abnehmen. Niemals das
Typenschild und eventuelle Warnhin-
weise entfernen!

BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄßER
GEBRAUCH
■Dieser Gaskocher ist zum Zubereiten
von Lebensmitteln konzipiert. Er wird
mit Flüssiggas betrieben und ist zur
Verwendung in gut belüfteten Räumen
bestimmt.
■Eine andere Verwendung ist nicht zuläs-
sig. Dies gilt insbesondere für folgende
vorhersehbare Fehlanwendungen:
○Das Gerät nicht mit Holz, Holzkohle
oder sonstigem Brennmaterial, das
nicht Flüssiggas (Butan / Butange-
misch) ist, betreiben.
○Das Gerät niemals an das Erdgasnetz
(Stadtgasnetz) anschließen!
○Das Gerät nicht als Heizung verwenden.
○Das Gerät nicht zum Erhitzen von
anderen Stoffen und Materialien als
Lebensmitteln verwenden.
○Das Gerät niemals als Einbaugerät
benutzen.
■Das Gerät und die Gaskartusche müssen
gemäß den geltenden Vorschriften
verwendet und gelagert werden.
■Das Gerät ist für den privaten Gebrauch,
nicht für eine gewerbliche Nutzung
bestimmt.
■Das Gerät ausschließlich für den ange-
gebenen Zweck und nur wie in dieser
Gebrauchsanleitung beschrieben nut-
zen. Jede weitere Verwendung gilt als
bestimmungswidrig. Falsche Bedienung
und unsachgemäße Behandlung können
eine Beeinträchtigung der Funktion oder
Sach- sowie Personenschäden zur Folge
haben.
■Von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen
sind alle Mängel, die durch unsachge-
mäße Behandlung, Beschädigung oder
Reparaturversuche entstehen. Dies gilt
auch für den normalen Verschleiß sowie
Fettablagerungen und Verfärbungen am
Gerät.
SICHER HEITS HINWEISE
Verletzungsrisiken
■Das Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt,
von Kindern und Personen mit einge-
schränkten physischen, sensorischen
oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder man-
gelnder Erfahrung und / oder mangeln-
dem Wissen benutzt zu werden.
■Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spie-
len. Sicherstellen, dass Kinder keinen
unbeaufsichtigten Zugang zum Gerät
haben, auch wenn er ausgeschaltet ist.
Falsche Benutzung kann gefährlich sein.
■VORSICHT: Zugängliche Teile kön-
nen sehr heiß sein. Kleinkinder vom
Gerät fernhalten. Das Gerät niemals
unbeaufsichtigt lassen, wenn es in
Betrieb oder noch heiß ist. Insbesondere
darauf achten, dass keine Kinder oder
Personen, die nicht in der Lage sind,
mögliche Gefahren richtig zu erkennen
oder auf sie zu reagieren, in die Nähe
des heißen Gerätes gelangen.
■Während und unmittelbar nach der
Benutzung des Gerätes ausschließlich
den Reglerknopf und keine aufgeheiz-
ten Teile berühren. Warten, bis sich das
Gerät abgekühlt hat, bevor er transpor-
tiert, gereinigt oder verstaut wird.
■Das Gerät während des Betriebes
nicht bewegen!
Risiken von Ersticken, Brand
und Explosion
Gas ist sehr leicht entzündlich und
verbrennt explosionsartig. Es kann zu
schweren Personen- oder Sachschäden
kommen, wenn sich ausströmendes Gas
unkontrolliert entzündet.
Flüssiggas ist schwerer als Sauerstoff.
Es lagert sich daher am Boden ab und
verdrängt dort den Sauerstoff. Wenn
sich eine entsprechende Gaskonzentra-
tion bildet (z. B. bei einer beschädigten

Gaskartusche), kann es zur Erstickung
infolge von Sauerstoffmangel kommen.
■Das Gerät nur in gut belüfteten Räu-
men benutzen, wobei die nationalen
Anforderungen an die Versorgung
mit Verbrennungsluft gelten, um bei
Geräten ohne Flammenüberwachungs-
einrichtung die Ansammlung von
gefährlichen Mengen an unverbranntem
Gas zu vermeiden. Werden die nationa-
len Anforderungen nicht erfüllt, ist das
Gerät nur im Freien zu verwenden.
■Ausschließlich die in dieser Gebrauchs-
anleitung angegebenen Gasarten und
Gaskartuschen verwenden (siehe Kapitel
„Technische Daten“).
■Das Gerät nur oberhalb der Erdgleiche
(d. h. nicht in Vertiefungen unterhalb
des Erdniveaus) benutzen.
■Das Gerät nicht in Zelten oder in / auf
einem Fahrzeug benutzen. Dies betrifft
auch Wohnmobile, Wohnwagen und
Boote.
■Bei der Verwendung im Haus die
Dunstabzugshaube einschalten, Fenster
und / oder Türen öffnen.
■Das Gerät nicht verwenden, wenn sich
in der Luft bzw. Umgebung leichtent-
zündliche oder explosive Substanzen
befinden. Keinen Kraftstoff oder andere
entflammbare Dämpfe oder Flüssigkei-
ten in der Nähe des Gerätes lagern und
derartige Stoffe nicht mit dem Gerät
verwenden. Keine Sprays in der Nähe
des Gerätes sprühen.
■Kein Gerät mit beschädigten oder abge-
nutzten Dichtungen benutzen.
■Kein Gerät benutzen, das undicht oder
schadhaft ist oder das nicht ordnungs-
gemäß arbeitet.
■Das Gerät auf einer waagerechten Ebe-
ne betrieben, auf der sein Betrieb nicht
beeinträchtigt wird (frei von trockenem
Gras, Sand usw.).
■Dieses Gerät muss in sicherer Ent-
fernung von entzündbaren Stoffen
betrieben werden. Es besteht Gefahr
von Feuer und Schwelbrand. Folgende
Mindestabstände zu brennbaren Mate-
rialien müssen eingehalten werden: 1 m
oberhalb und 20 cm seitlich des Gerätes.
Der Abstand zu schwer entflammbaren
Materialien, z. B. Hauswänden, muss
mindestens 20 cm betragen.
■Prüfen, dass die Dichtungen (zwischen
Gerät und Gaskartusche) vorhanden
und in gutem Zustand sind, bevor die
Gaskartusche angeschlossen wird.
■Gaskartuschen dürfen nur an einem
gut belüfteten Ort, vorzugsweise im
Freien, und fern von allen möglichen
Zündquellen wie offenen Flammen,
Zündflammen, elektrischen Kochgeräten
und entfernt von anderen Personen
gewechselt werden.
■Niemals zwei Gaskocher nebeneinander
stellen.
■Niemals die Belüftungsöffnungen des
Gerätes verschließen und sicherstellen,
dass sie stets frei sind.
■Das Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt lassen,
wenn es in Betrieb ist. Sollte die Flam-
me erlöschen, muss sie sofort erneut
gezündet oder die Gaskartusche
vom Gerät getrennt werden!
■Falls aus dem Gerät Gas entweicht (Gas-
geruch), das Gerät sofort nach draußen
an einen Ort mit guter Luftzirkulation
und ohne Zündquelle bringen, wo das
Leck gesucht und behoben werden
kann. Die Dichtheit des Geräts nur im
Freien überprüfen. Niemals ein Leck
mit einer Flamme suchen, sondern
hierzu Seifenlauge benutzen!
■Falls die druckempfindliche Sicherheits-
einrichtung ausgelöst wird, bedeutet
dies, dass ein kritisches Druckniveau in
der Kartusche erreicht ist und das Gerät
nicht verwendet werden darf, bis es
vollständig abgekühlt ist. Die druckemp-
findliche Sicherheitseinrichtung darf
nicht umgangen werden.

■Darauf achten, dass öl- und fettreiche
Speisen nicht überhitzt werden. Keine
mit Öl gefüllten Gefäße auf das Gerät
stellen.
■Einen Fettbrand nicht mit Wasser lö-
schen! Das Gerät sofort ausschalten und
die Gaskartusche vom Gerät trennen.
■Nach Gebrauch sofort die Gaskartu-
sche vom Gerät trennen.
■Das Gerät nicht abdecken, solange es
heiß ist.
■An Bauteilen, die vom Hersteller
oder seinem Vertreter versiegelt
wurden, dürfen keine Manipulatio-
nen vorgenommen werden.
■Reparaturen dürfen ausschließlich
vom Hersteller bzw. Kundenservice
durchgeführt werden, um Gefährdun-
gen zu vermeiden. Im Falle einer Störung
oder eines Schadens, den Kundenservice
kontaktieren. Das Gerät darf bis zur
Instandsetzung nicht benutzt werden,
da eine Fehlfunktion des Gerätes die
Verletzungsgefahr erhöhen kann.
■Niemals den Reglerknopf, die Gaskar-
tusche oder eines der gasführenden
Elemente während des Betriebes
demontieren.
Gefährdungen durch Gas-
kartuschen
■Die Vorgaben des Herstellers der
Gaskartusche beachten!
■Eine Gaskartusche darf nicht in Kinder-
hände gelangen!
■Niemals eine verbeulte oder rostige
Gaskartusche verwenden.
■Niemals eine Gaskartusche mit beschä-
digtem Ventil verwenden.
■Eine Gaskartusche nicht fallen lassen,
keinen Stößen aussetzen und nicht
beschädigen.
■Gaskartuschen können bei Erwärmung
explodieren. Eine Gaskartusche niemals
verbrennen. Sie auch keiner extremen
Hitze (über 50 °C) bzw. direkter Sonnen-
einstrahlung aussetzen. Eine Gaskartu-
sche nicht an einem heißen Tag im Auto
lassen.
■Eine undichte Gaskartusche sofort auf
eine gut belüftete Fläche im Freien
stellen, das Gas ausströmen lassen und
warten, bis es sich verflüchtigt hat.
■Bei Schwindelgefühl oder Übelkeit
frische Luft einatmen und ggf. medizini-
sche Hilfe in Anspruch nehmen.
■Gaskartuschen (auch leere), die nicht
für die unmittelbare Verwendung
angeschlossen sind, dürfen nicht direkt
neben einem in Betrieb befindlichen Ge-
rät, das mit Gas oder Strom angetrieben
wird, gelagert werden.
■Auch scheinbar leere Gaskartuschen
können noch Flüssiggas enthalten und
müssen daher mit der gleichen Sorgfalt
wie eine volle Gaskartusche behandelt
werden.
BENUTZUNG
Beachten!
■Die Gaskartusche im Freien wechseln
und fern von anderen Personen.
■Die Dichtungen vor dem Anschluss einer
neuen Gaskartusche prüfen.
■Prüfen, dass vor dem Lösen der Gaskar-
tusche der Brenner erloschen ist.
■Achtung, die Gaskartusche könnte heiß
sein.
■Vor jeder Benutzung sicherstellen, dass
das Gerät unbeschädigt sowie richtig
aufgestellt ist. Bei der Wahl des Aufstel-
lortes das Kapitel „Sicherheitshinweise“
beachten.
■Vor jeder Benutzung sicherstellen, dass
die Gaskartusche richtig angeschlossen
ist und alle gasführenden Teile dicht
sind (siehe „Dichtigkeitsprüfung“).
■Sollte die Flamme erlöschen oder der
Brenner nicht gezündet haben, den
Reglerknopf auf PositionOFF drehen.
Ca. 2 bis 5Minuten vor einem neuen
Zündversuch warten, damit sich das Gas

verflüchtigen kann. Ansonsten könnte
es zu einer Verpuffung kommen.
■Beim Zünden der Gasflamme nicht über
die Kochfläche beugen.
■Niemals Wasser auf das heißen Gerät
schütten, um Verbrennungen und Ver-
brühungen zu vermeiden.
■Ausschließlich Kochgeschirr benutzen,
welches für Gaskochstellen geeignet ist.
■Der Durchmesser des Kochgeschirrs
muss 12 – 20 cm betragen, damit es
sicher auf dem Topfträger steht.
Das Gerät wird mit dem Flüssiggas Butan
sowie dessen Gemisch betrieben. Dieses
bleibt bei Raumtemperatur und geringer
Kompression in einer Gaskartusche flüssig.
Wird die Gaskartusche geöffnet, entweicht
der Druck, die Flüssigkeit expandiert und
geht in einen gasförmigen Zustand über.
1. Das Gerät auf einem stabilen, waa-
gerechten und ebenen Untergrund
platzieren. Für ausreichend Freiraum zu
allen Seiten sorgen. Bei der Wahl des
Aufstellortes das Kapitel „Sicherheits-
hinweise“ beachten.
2. Sicherstellen, dass sich der Regler-
knopf(5) auf PositionOFF befindet
und der Hebel zum Verriegeln der
Gaskartusche(6) oben auf Position
. Ansonsten lässt sich die Gaskartusche
nicht verriegeln.
3. Den Deckel des Gaskartuschenfaches(4)
aufklappen.
4. Die Kappe der Gaskartusche abnehmen.
5. Die Gaskartusche in das Gaskartuschen-
fach einlegen (BildB): Das Ventil der
Gaskartusche in den Gasanschluss(8)
stecken. Die Aussparung im Rand der
Gaskartusche zeigt nach oben.
6. Den Deckel des Gaskartuschenfaches
schließen (BildC).
7. Den Hebel zum Verriegeln der Gaskar-
tusche nach unten auf Position schie-
ben, um die Gaskartusche im Gerät zu
verriegeln und die Gaszufuhr zu öffnen
(BildD).
Ist ein zischendes Geräusch zu
hören, ist die Gaskartusche nicht
richtig angeschlossen. In diesem Fall
das Gerät nicht zünden, sondern den
Hebel nach oben bewegen und das Ein-
setzen der Gaskartusche wiederholen.
Dichtigkeitsprüfung
Um die Dichtigkeit zwischen Gerät und
Gaskartusche zu überprüfen oder eventu-
elle Lecks aufzuspüren ein Lecksuchmittel
aus dem Fachhandel verwenden und die
Herstelleranweisungen befolgen. Eine
Dichtigkeitsprüfung nach Gehör ist
nicht sicher!
1. Um dem Brenner(1) zu zünden, den
Reglerknopf ganz nach unten auf
Position IGNITION drehen (BildE). Die
Gaszufuhr wird aktiviert und gleichzeitig
ein Funke erzeugt, was ein knallendes
Geräusch erzeugt.
2. Sollte der Brenner nicht gezündet ha-
ben, den Reglerknopf auf PositionOFF
drehen und es nach ca. 2 bis 5Minuten
noch einmal versuchen.
3. Wenn die Flamme brennt (BildF), kann
ein Topf oder eine Pfanne auf den Topf-
halter gestellt werden (BildG).
4. Die Flammengröße mit dem Regler-
knopf zwischen den Postionen MAX
und MIN einstellen.
5. Zum Ausschalten, den Reglerknopf auf
PositionOFF drehen.
6. Wenn die Flamme erloschen ist, den
Hebel zum Verriegeln der Gaskartusche
nach oben auf Position . schieben,
um die Gaszufuhr abzusperren (BildH).

AUFBEWAHRUNG
Beachten!
■Das Gerät und Gaskartuschen für Kinder
und Tiere unzugänglich lagern.
1. Das Gerät abkühlen lassen. Anschlie-
ßend die Gaskartusche herausnehmen
und mit der Kappe verschließen.
2. Das Gerät in dem mitgelieferten Aufbe-
wahrungskoffer kühl und trocken lagern
(BildI).
3. Die Gaskartusche an einem trockenen,
kühlen, vor Sonne geschützten und gut
belüfteten Ort aufbewahren.
REINIGUNG UND
WARTUNG
Beachten!
■Keine Veränderungen am Gerät vor-
nehmen! Jede Änderung des Gerätes
kann gefährlich sein.
■Alle Teile vor dem Reinigen abkühlen
lassen und die Gaskartusche aus dem
Gerät herausnehmen.
■Keine Reinigungstätigkeiten am Gas-
anschluss und sonstigen gasführen-
den Bauteilen vornehmen! Diese sind
empflindlich und könnten beschädigt
werden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Wasser tauchen und
sicherstellen, dass keine keine Flüssig-
keit in die gasführenden Komponenten
gelangt.
■Niemals kaltes Wasser auf heiße Teile
schütten. Dies kann zu Verbrennungen
und Beschädigungen des Materials
führen.
■Niemals Spiritus oder sonstige entzünd-
bare oder ätzende Reiniger benutzen.
■Keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel
benutzen.
■Alle Teile müssen vor der Benutzung
oder dem Verstauen trocken sein.
• Das Gerät sauber halten. Verunreinigun-
gen (Sand, Insekten, Gras, Fettablager-
ungen usw.) entfernen.
• Das Gehäuse des Gerätes mit einem
feuchten Tuch abwischen. Bei hartnäcki-
gen Verschmutzungen etwas Haushalts-
reiniger oder Spülmittel hinzufügen.
Anschließend trocken wischen.
• Ansonsten ist das Gerät wartungsfrei.
Die Gasdüse darf nur eine Fachkraft
austauschen.
• In regelmäßigen Intervallen kontrollie-
ren, ob der Dichtungsring(7) unbe-
schädigt ist. Falls nicht, muss er ersetzt
werden.
Wenn die Dichtung defekt ist:
Die Dichtung (Standard O-Ring,
13,5 x 1,9mm) entfernen und eine neue
Dichtung vorsichtig einsetzen.
Brenner reinigen (bei Bedarf)
Der Brenner(1) ist ggf. verstopft und muss
gereinigt werden, wenn
• Gasgeruch bei sehr gelber und schwa-
cher Brennerflamme wahrgenommen
wird.
• die gewünschte Temperatur nicht
erreicht wird.
• der Brenner ungleichmäßig heizt bzw.
die Flamme flackert.
Bei der Reinigung wie folgt vorgehen:
• Den Brenner mit einer sauberen Bürste
reinigen, um Speiserückstände und
Schmutz zu entfernen. Darauf achten,
nicht die Zündelektrode zu verbie-
gen oder zu beschädigen.

FEHLERBEHEBUNG
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß
funktionieren, überprüfen, ob ein Problem
selbst behoben werden kann. Lässt sich mit
den genannten Schritten das Problem nicht
lösen, den Kundendienst kontaktieren.
Nicht versuchen, das Gerät
eigenständig zu reparieren!

INTENDED USE
■This gas cooker is designed to be used
to cook food. It is operated with lique-
fied petroleum gas and is intended to be
used in well-ventilated spaces.
■Any other use is not permitted. This
applies in particular to the following
foreseeable incorrect uses:
○Do not operate the device with wood,
charcoal or any other fuel that is not
liquefied petroleum gas (butane / bu-
tane mixture).
○Never connect the device to the natu-
ral gas grid (municipal gas grid)!
○Do not use the device for heating.
○Do not use the device for heating sub-
stances or materials other than food.
○Never use the device as a built-in unit.
■The device and the gas cartridge must
be used and stored in accordance with
the applicable regulations.
■The device is for personal use only and
is not intended for commercial applica-
tions.
■Use the device exclusively for the spec-
ified purpose and only as described in
these operating instructions. Any other
use is deemed to be improper. Incorrect
operation and incorrect handling may
impair function or cause material dam-
age or personal injury.
■The warranty does not cover faults
caused by incorrect handling, damage or
attempted repairs. The same applies to
normal wear and tear and to fat depos-
its and discolourations on the device.
SAFETY NOTICES
Risks of Injury
■The device is not intended to be used by
children and people with limited phys-
ical, sensory or mental capabilities or
who lack the necessary experience and/
or knowledge.
■Children must not play with the device.
Ensure that children do not have un-
supervised access to the device, even
when it is switched off. Incorrect use can
be dangerous.
■CAUTION: Accessible parts may be
very hot. Keep small children away
from the device. Never leave the device
unattended when it is in operation or
still hot. In particular, make sure that no
children or people who are unable to
correctly identify or respond to possible
hazards end up close to the hot device.
■While and immediately after using the
device, only ever touch the control knob
and do not touch any heated parts. Wait
until the device has cooled down before
it is transported, cleaned or stored away.
■Do not move the device during use!
Risks of Suffocation, Fire and
Explosion
Gas is extremely flammable and burns ex-
plosively. If escaping gas is ignited in an
uncontrolled way, this can cause serious
personal injury or damage to property.
Liquefied petroleum gas is heavier
than oxygen. It therefore settles down
below and displaces the oxygen there. If
acorresponding concentration of gas is
formed (for example, if a gas cartridge
is damaged), this may lead to suffoca-
tion caused by a lack of oxygen.
■Only use the device in well-ventilated
spaces, following the national require-
ments governing the supply of combus-
tion air, in order to prevent the build-up
of dangerous quantities of unburned gas

when using devices that do not have a
flame monitoring device. If the national
requirements are not met, the device
may only be used outdoors.
■Only ever use the gas types and gas
cartridges that are specified in these op-
erating instructions (see the “Technical
Data” chapter).
■Only use the device above ground level
(so do not use it in holes below ground
level).
■Do not use the device in tents or in / on
a vehicle. This also applies to caravans,
camper vans and boats.
■If you use the device indoors, switch on
the extractor hood, and open windows
and/or doors.
■Do not use the device if there are highly
flammable or explosive substances in
the air or surrounding environment. Do
not store any fuel or other flammable
vapours or liquids in the vicinity of the
device and do not use such substances
with the device. Do not spray any sprays
close to the device.
■Do not use a device that has a damaged
or worn seal.
■Do not use a device that has a leak or is
damaged or does not work properly.
■Operate the device on a flat, horizontal
surface on which its operation is not
impeded in any way (no dry grass, sand,
etc.).
■This device must be operated a
safe distance away from flammable
substances. There is a risk of a fire
and a smouldering fire. The following
minimum distances away from flam-
mable materials must be maintained:
1 m above and 20 cm to the side of the
device. The distance from materials of
low flammability, e.g. walls of buildings,
must be at least 20 cm.
■Check that the seals (between the device
and gas cartridge) are present and in
good condition before connecting the
gas cartridge.
■Gas cartridges may only be replaced
in a well-ventilated place, preferably
outdoors, and away from any possible
ignition sources such as naked flames,
pilot flames, electric cookers and a safe
distance away from other people.
■Never place two gas cookers next to
each other.
■Never close up the ventilation openings
of the device and make sure that they
are always clear.
■Never leave the device unattended while
it is in operation. If the flame goes
out, it must be reignited straight
away or the gas cartridge must be
disconnected from the device!
■If gas is escaping from the device (smell
of gas), immediately take the device out-
side to a place with good air circulation
and no ignition source where you can
look for and fix the leak. Only ever check
the device for leaks outdoors. Never
look for a leak by using a flame; use
soapy solution to do this instead!
■If the pressure-sensitive safety device
is triggered, this means that a critical
pressure level has been reached in the
cartridge and the device must not be
used again until it has cooled down
completely. The pressure-sensitive safety
device must not be bypassed.
■Make sure that foodstuffs containing
oil and fats are not overheated. Do not
place any vessels filled with oil onto the
device.
■Do not use water to extinguish a fat fire!
Switch off the device immediately and
disconnect the gas cartridge from the
device.
■Disconnect the gas cartridge from
the device immediately after use.
■Do not cover the device while it is still
hot.

■No modifications may be made to
components which have been sealed
by the manufacturer or its represent-
ative.
■Repairs may only ever be carried out
by the manufacturer or customer
service department in order to avoid
any hazards. If you find a fault or any
damage, contact the customer service
department. The device must not be
used until it has been repaired as a mal-
function of the device can increase the
risk of injury.
■Never remove the control knob, the gas
cartridge or one of the components
carrying gas during operation.
Hazards from Gas Cartridges
■Note the specifications of the manu-
facturer of the gas cartridge!
■A gas cartridge must not get into the
hands of children!
■Never use a dented or rusty gas car-
tridge.
■Never use a gas cartridge with a dam-
aged valve.
■Do not drop a gas cartridge, subject it to
impacts or damage it.
■Gas cartridges may explode if heated.
Never burn a gas cartridge. Do not
expose it to extreme heat (over 50°C) or
direct sunlight either. Do not leave a gas
cartridge in a car on a hot day.
■Immediately place any gas cartridge
that has a leak in a well-ventilated place
outdoors, allow the gas to flow out and
wait until it has dissipated.
■If you feel dizzy or sick, breathe in
fresh air and seek medical assistance if
necessary.
■Gas cartridges (including empty ones)
that are not connected for immediate
use must not be stored immediately next
to a device that is operating using gas or
electricity.
■Even gas cartridges that may appear
to be empty can still contain liquefied
petroleum gas and must therefore be
handled with the same level of care as
afull gas cartridge.
USE
Please Note!
■Change the gas cartridge outdoors and
away from other people.
■Check the seals before connecting up
anew gas cartridge.
■Check that the burner has gone out
before you release the gas cartridge.
■Be aware that the gas cartridge might
be hot.
■Each time before you use the de-
vice, make sure that the device is not
damaged and has been set up correct-
ly. When you choose the location for
setting up the device, follow the “Safety
Notices” chapter.
■Before every use, make sure that the gas
cartridge has been connected correctly
and all gas-carrying parts are sealed (see
“Leak Test”).
■If the flame has gone out or the burner
has not ignited, turn the control knob
to theOFF position Wait around 2 to
5minutes before attempting to ignite it
again so that the gas can dissipate. Oth-
erwise there could be a deflagration.
■Do not bend over the cooking area
when you ignite the gas flame.
■Never pour water onto the hot device to
prevent any burns or scalding.
■Only ever use cookware that is suitable
for gas stoves.
■The diameter of the cookware must be
12 – 20 cm so that it can rest safely on
the pan support.
The device is operated with butane liquefied
petroleum gas and its mixture. This remains

in liquid form at room temperature and
under slight compression in a gas cartridge.
When the gas cartridge is opened, the pres-
sure escapes, the liquid expands and turns
into a gaseous state.
1. Place the device on a stable, horizon-
tal and level surface. Ensure there is
sucient clear space on all sides. When
you choose the location for setting up
the device, follow the “Safety Notices”
chapter.
2. Make sure that the control knob(5) is in
theOFF position and the lever for lock-
ing the gas cartridge in place(6) is at the
top in position . Otherwise the gas
cartridge cannot be locked in place.
3. Open up the lid of the gas cartridge
compartment(4).
4. Remove the cap from the gas cartridge.
5. Insert the gas cartridge into the gas car-
tridge compartment (PictureB): Place
the valve of the gas cartridge into the
gas connection(8). The recess in the rim
of the gas cartridge points upwards.
6. Close the lid of the gas cartridge com-
partment (PictureC).
7. Push the lever for locking the gas
cartridge in place down to position
to lock the gas cartridge in place in the
device and open the gas supply (Pic-
tureD).
If you hear a hissing noise, the gas
cartridge is not connected correctly.
In this case, do not ignite the device,
but instead move the lever upwards and
repeat the process of inserting the gas
cartridge.
Leak Test
To check the seal between the device and
gas cartridge or to uncover any leaks, use
acommercially available leak detector agent
and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Performing a leak test by listening is not
safe!
1. To ignite the burner(1), turn the control
knob all the way down to the IGNITION
position (PictureE). The gas supply is
activated and a spark is generated at the
same time, which produces a popping
sound.
2. If the burner has not ignited, turn the
control knob to theOFF position and try
again after around 2 to 5 minutes.
3. If the flame burns (PictureF), a pot or
pan can be placed on the pan support
(PictureG).
4. Use the control knob to adjust the size
of the flame between the MAX and
MIN positions.
5. Turn the control knob to the OFF posi-
tion to switch off the device.
6. If the flame has gone out, slide the lever
for locking the gas cartridge in place up
to position to shut off the gas supply
(PictureH).
STORAGE
Please Note!
■Store the device and gas cartridges out
of the reach of children and animals.
1. Allow the device to cool down. Then
remove the gas cartridge and seal it shut
with the cap.
2. Store the device in the storage case
that comes with it in a cool, dry place
(PictureI).
3. Store the gas cartridge in a dry, cool
place that is well-ventilated and protect-
ed from sunlight.

CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
Please Note!
■Do not make any modifications to
the device! Any change to the device
may be dangerous.
■Allow all parts to cool down before
cleaning them and remove the gas car-
tridge from the device.
■Do not do any cleaning on the gas
connection and other components that
carry gas! They are sensitive and could
be damaged.
■Do not immerse the device in water and
make sure that no liquid gets inside the
components which carry gas.
■Never pour cold water onto hot parts.
This may cause burns and damage the
material.
■Never use methylated spirit or other flam-
mable or corrosive cleaning products.
■Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
■All parts must be dry before they are
used or stored away.
• Keep the device clean. Remove any dirt
or contamination (sand, insects, grass,
fat deposits, etc.).
• Wipe down the outside of the device
with a damp cloth. Use a little house-
hold cleaning agent or detergent on
stubborn dirt. Then wipe it dry.
• Otherwise the device does not require
any maintenance. Only a specialist may
replace the gas nozzle.
• Check whether the sealing ring(7) is
undamaged at regular intervals. If it is
damaged, it must be replaced.
If the seal is defective:
Remove the seal (standard O-ring,
13.5 x 1.9mm) and carefully insert a new
seal.
Cleaning the Burner (if Necessary)
The burner(1) may be clogged up and need
to be cleaned if
• a smell of gas along with a very yellow
and weak burner flame is detected.
• the desired temperature is not reached.
• the burner heats unevenly or the flame
flickers.
Proceed as follows to perform cleaning:
• Clean the burner with a clean brush to
remove any dirt or food residues. Make
sure you do not bend or damage the
ignition electrode.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly, check
whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved
with the steps listed, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair the
device yourself!
The burner does not ignite.
The gas cartridge is empty.
►Replace the gas cartridge.
The burner is clogged up.
►Clean the burner in the manner de-
scribed in the “Cleaning and Mainte-
nance” chapter.
There is a smell of gas (possibly ac-
companied by a very yellow and weak
flame).
The burner is clogged up.
►Clean the burner in the manner de-
scribed in the “Cleaning and Mainte-
nance” chapter.
The desired temperature is not reached./
The flame is small or flickers a lot.
The gas cartridge is (almost) empty.
►Replace the gas cartridge.

A deflagration or bubbling/popping
noises occur.

ately. Wait 5 minutes and then operate
the device again. If the fault persists,
clean the burner (see the “Cleaning and
Maintenance” chapter).
Flaring up
The device is dirty.
►Clean the device (see the “Cleaning and
Maintenance” chapter).
DISPOSAL
Recycle any metals and plastics.
Dispose of the packaging material in
an environmentally friendly manner
so that it can be recycled.
Waste prevention makes an even more
valuable contribution to protecting the
environment. This means if possible,
as well as continuing to use or repair
adevice yourself, passing it on to anoth-
er user also represents an ecologically
beneficial alternative to disposal.
