8. Start-up
DANGER! Place the mini oven on a flat, heat-resistant surface. If the surface is sensitive, place
a heat-resistant board under the mini oven.
DANGER! There is a risk of burns! The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very
high when the device is operating. Hot steam continues to escape from the ventilation slots
during operation. Hot steam may also escape when you open the mini oven. Use the supplied
cooking tongs (11) to remove the grill rack (12) or baking tray (10). Do not touch the inside
of the mini oven when removing the food. Use pot holders or oven gloves to prevent burns.
There is a risk of injury.
8.1. Initial start-up
Remove the crumb tray (14), baking tray (10) and grill rack (12) if they are inserted in the mini
oven.
Leave the door (8) of the mini oven open when using if for the first time.
Insert the mains plug into a socket that is always easily accessible.
Set the thermostat (3) to "230°C" (highest level). The temperature control light (4) lights up as
soon as the set temperature is reached. If the set temperature drops again, the temperature
control light (4) goes out.
Set the operating mode selector switch (5) to "Top/bottom heat".
Set the timer (7) to "15 min".
The indicator light (6) lights up during operation. The device may briefly emit an odour or light
smoke when it is used for the first time. This is normal and completely harmless. Ensure that
there is sufficient ventilation by opening a window.
The mini oven switches itself off after the set time has elapsed.
Then remove the mains plug from the socket.
Clean the mini oven as described in the section "Cleaning".

Slide the baking tray (10) or the grill rack (12) into the desired rack level (2).
If you would like to cook greasy food on the grill rack (12), you can use the baking tray (10)
on a lower rack level (2) to collect the grease.
