Operation manual Isox Base 2
Please read these instructions carefully before you use your Kiddy
child seat for the rst time. Always keep the manual in the storage
compartment of the child seat it belongs to! is way it’s always avail

2. Suitability
We are pleased that you have chosen the Isox platform in combina-
tion with a Kiddy child seat to be your child restraint system.
e Isox platform is a safety product and should only be used in ve
-
hicles with Isox anchor’s and in combination with the appropriate
child seat.
For use in your vehicle, please also follow the manufactur-
er’s recommendations in your owner’s manual.
WARNING
Be sure to read the operating instructions for the
Isox platform and the Kiddy car seat and follow all
warnings and instructions.
WARNING
Always keep both your instruction manual for the
Isox platform and for the child seat in the manu-
al compartment of the child seat it belongs to. It is
then always at hand if you have any questions.

3. General safety instructions
WARNING
Use only manufacturer approved Kiddy child seats
and original accessories and do not modify the
product!
If in doubt, always consult the dealer, the importer
or the manufacturer.
Always consult the vehicle type list and the manual
of your vehicle, or contact your dealer, before initial
installation in the vehicle.
e Isox platform is a safety product that ensures
the safety of the user only if it is used according to
the regulations.
Before each trip, check whether the Isox connec-
tors are connected to the vehicle and the support
leg / foot is adjusted accordingly. Also make sure
that the child seat is properly latched onto the Isox
platform.

4. Installation in the vehicle
e support leg must be folded out before installation in the vehicle.
Check now whether the Isox hooks are opened (see point 5. Removal).
Now slide the connectors onto the Isox anchor ttings and push rmly
against them (g. 1).
WARNING
e correct engagement/latching will be conrmed
by the Isox indicator on the left and right connec-
tor (g. 1). Check by pulling on the platform that
both connectors are securely locked.
As the nal step of the installation, the support leg must be adjusted.
Swing the support leg xing cover backwards (g. 2, no. 1) and slide
the support foot out until it rests on the vehicle oor and the support
foot indicator shows ‘green’ (g. 2, no. 2). Now lift the platform a little,
until the support leg xing cover snaps forward again and the ‘red’
support leg indicator is no longer visible from the xing cover (g. 3).
Check that the mechanism is properly locked by trying to slide the
support foot in without moving the support leg xing cover. If the sup
-
port foot does not move, it is correctly locked in place.
You must always use the Isox platform with the support leg folded
out and the support foot correctly adjusted!
Now you can install your Kiddy child seat according to its instructions
on your Isox platform. Check that all systems are properly locked or
adjusted before each trip.

Traces of use or discolouration can appear on some vehicle seat cov-
ers made from sensitive materials (e.g. velour, leather etc.) if car seats
or platforms are used. To avoid this we recommend to place a seat
cover shield or protection mat underneath the product.
5. Removal
First remove the Kiddy child seat according to its instructions from the
Isox platform.
Now you can start to dismantle the platform.
Push both Isox release buttons to the inside (g. 4, no. 1) and pull
both forward simultaneously (g. 4, no. 2), now pull the platform from
the anchor ttings forward (g. 4, no. 3).
Now you can slide the support foot in by swinging the support leg
xing cover backwards (g. 5, no. 1) and pushing the support foot into
the support leg (g. 5, no. 2). You can now fold the support leg under
the platform.
6. Adjusting the carriage
e carriage can be moved forwards and backwards.
Push the slide releases at the knee of the platform to the back
(g. 6, no. 1) and pull or push the carriage in the desired direction at
the same time (g. 6, no. 2).
Let go of the slide release. e next possible locking position can be
found by moving the carriage. Make sure that the carriage locks into
place again and that the indicator shows green (g. 6, no. 3).

7. Care and maintenance
Plastic parts can be cleaned with a mild detergent or with a damp
cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. solvents). Moving
parts can be treated with silicone oil to ensure smooth movement.
8. Steps to take after an accident
After an accident with an impact speed greater than 10 km/h, the plat-
form must be checked by the manufacturer for possible damage and
replaced if necessary.
9. Warranty
For this child restraint system we extend a warranty against defects in
materials and workmanship for up to two years. e warranty period
starts on the day of purchase. A receipt is required for all claims.
e warranty covers child restraint systems that have been handled
properly and are returned in a clean and orderly condition.
e warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear and damage due to unreasonable or exces
-
sive use.
Damage caused by inappropriate or improper use.

2. Eignung
Wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich bei der Wahl eines Kinderrückhaltesys-
tems für die Isox-Plattform in Verbindung mit einem Kiddy Kindersitz
entschieden haben.
Die Isox-Plattform ist ein Sicherheitsprodukt und darf nur in Fahr
-
zeugen mit Isox-Verankerungen und in Verbindung mit dem entspre-
chenden Kindersitz benutzt werden.
Richten Sie sich bei der Verwendung im Fahrzeug nach den
Empfehlungen des Benutzerhandbuches des Fahrzeuges.
WARNUNG
Lesen Sie unbedingt die Bedienungsanleitung der
Isox-Plattform und des Kiddy Kindersitzes und be-
folgen Sie alle Warnungen und Weisungen.
WARNUNG
Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung Ihrer Iso-
x-Plattform und die des Kindersitzes immer im Be-
dienungsanleitungsfach an dem entsprechenden
Kindersitz auf. Sie sind dann bei eventuellen Fragen

Benutzen Sie ausschließlich vom Hersteller zuge-
lassene Kiddy Kindersitze und Originalzubehörteile
und nehmen Sie keine Veränderungen am Produkt
vor!
Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall immer mit dem Fach-
händler, dem Importeur oder dem Hersteller in Ver-
bindung.
Prüfen Sie vor der Erstmontage im Fahrzeug immer
die Fahrzeugtypenliste und das Handbuch Ihres
Fahrzeuges bzw. kontaktieren Sie Ihre Vertragswerk-
statt.
Die Isox-Plattform ist ein Sicherheitsprodukt und
gewährleistet die Sicherheit dann, wenn sie den
Vorschriften entsprechend benutzt wird.
Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Fahrt, ob die Isox-Kon-
nektoren mit dem Fahrzeug verbunden und das
Stützbein/-fuß entsprechend eingestellt sind. Über-
prüfen Sie ebenfalls die Verankerung des Kindersit-
zes auf Ihrer Isox-Plattform.
